NGL If Viz chose to reboot RWBY I'd watch it. But only if none of the canon romances have carried over from old RWBY and the girls are getting a fresh start. I know it's unlikely but I want to believe blacksun gets to become canon in a new RWBY.

I would just like RWBY to stay dead so the shills can continue to cry forever

but if they did bring it back, the only way i will forgive, is if they end up breaking up the bees just like they did with renora

It's incredible that people use this simple scene of Blake and Yang to Carry their "relationship" when it's simply Yang being Yang and helping her partner that she didn't EVEN interract in V1.

Korra took the initiative to knowingly break up Mako's relationship with Asami and take her place only to later ditch Mako and claim Asami for herself. The girls (but mainly Korra) end up looking like manipulative unfaithful harpies and Mako a indecisive emasculated fool who turned both his girlfriends gay. A messy love triangle ending with all 3 participants looking awful.

Makorra should've been end all endgame like was the original plan. fuck'em for throwing that away for korrasami.

i refuse to acknowledge that ship is canon because it's show don't tell. there was no kiss on screen and external media doesn't count (non canon) so it didn't happen!

Catra dora is another example of a toxic and problematic ship. Lots of morally questionable choices leading up to it being canon even from an enemies to lovers perspective. The ship's only saving grace was unlike korra sami or bumble bee, it was planned from the start and didn't waste time building up a rival ship that was superior to it.

i never watched she ra but a now ex friend of mine (you know who you are...) did and even she hated catradora.

both ships are trash imo. never pander to the lowest common denominator for clout. don't throw away GOOD, functional, healthy ships for garbage.

it always annoyed me about how certain people act like same sex ships are inherently more interesting then straight ships when they arent the fact there arent that many canon same sex ships doesnt make them more interesting or more deserving of being canon or getting special treatment where people are willing to throw away buildup to make it canon just due to its popularity or just blindly support it

It never fails to amuse me that RWBY's final volume in the Ever After didn't do anything except reveal that Blake and Yang are gay for each other. Like Ruby literally encounters the Great Tree that created the Brother Gods but left without any new knowledge on how to defeat Salem and save Remnant. Just a confidence boost and a timeskip.

yup. they should've just gone with the original plan that the volume was supposed to tie into the novel in vacuo but i guess not enough people read it to care that they thought no one would get the connection.

Maybe Viz just brought RWBY so nobody else could have it? But they don't have any plans for the franchise right now and are just letting it sit there collecting dust until someone thinks up an idea of what to do.😆

its really annoying how many times I have seen people claim homophobia if the same sex ( m/m in these two cases ) not happening and instead a het ship is teased . the writer wasnt obligated to make the same sex ship canon just because its popular or just because there arent many same sex ships when they do this they dont really have the right to get mad about criticism towards a canon same sex ship they dont have the right to attack people as homophobic or claim that its just het lenses or ask that we support it just because of the genders involved

because they don't have any other excuses except "UR A HoMomApHoBe!"

this generation of fans is deluded into thinking creators actually care how they feel and are obligated to make their insane headcanons a reality, when that's not the case at all. it's gross and sad and honestly makes me regret mainstream anime. this should've stayed a niche hobby for those who were mature and mentally stable enough to appreciate it.

I hate the people who try to use bb's popularity as proof it deserved to be canon the same with korrasami especially when they dont apply it to het ships. I mean I have seen some people use that argument but hate reylo or zutara when they are the popular ships in the fndm.

bees is only popular because the fans were the LOUDEST minority out of the rest of the fanbase. black sun was the more sensible endgame for blake.

Korrasami should not have been a thing at all either. Makorra clearly still had chemistry right up until the last minutes of book 4. rewatch that scene WITHOUT bias blinders and tell me i'm wrong.
