HOTEL OJ PARTY THIS SATURDAY!

In celebration of Inanimate Insanity II finally drawing to a close, we hope you'll join us for the Hotel OJ Party this Saturday! It feels like this season has taken ages to complete, but some may say it feels like just yesterday! Time's a funny thing. Now obviously, this wouldn't be an Inanimate Insanity finale without something going horribly wrong. And, I can in fact confirm, yes, we have had a shocking mishap. Please brace yourselves. We were meant to get 300 napkins for the party, but Paper only received 290. I know, I know. At this point, we shouldn't expect everything to go according to plan, but that was really hard on all of us. Anyway, Suitcase and Knife should be getting here soon! Who are you rooting for to win? I won't say my opinion so as to not influence you, and then also you can project whatever you think my answer would be onto me! Look, I'm one of you, I know how your minds work.

Only thing is- I do keep hearing an incessant buzzing sound in the distance. It almost sounds like a phone vibrating? But I've triple-checked and mine is on silent. So if you're reading this and you have a phone call you've been neglecting, PLEASE answer it. My sanity and I thank you in advance!

Some thoughts on Brewed For Two (my comic)

Brewed for two is awesome! Or is it? Brewed for two recently turned 1 years old, so I think its about time i give my awesome sauce creator notes on it that everyone will deffinetly read.

B42 initially started as a fanfiction idea and also a joke, since its a coffee shop au, it takes inspiration from coffee shop au's in the traditional fanfiction format. But as i made concept art and started brainstorming ideas, the possibility of actually making it a thing became more reasonable!

Infodumping about it to some friends really helped when it came to fleshing out the story details and all, in fact, the name "brewed for two" was recommended by a BERRY nice person :] And then it happend! The comic's style is a particularly easy one, considering i use assets instead of drawing everything every panel, and i ussualy dont mind leaving in mistakes as to not take too much time on it, consequentially, making more content for all of u! Realisticaly though, B42 is pretty ugly! And im well aware, but again, i dont wish to put the effort into making it look better. If ya want panel art quality, this ain't the place, go read pseudonomics (like genuinely, its super well made and awesome!).

Though, if im being honest, brewed for two is a story that will never be finished. I mean, one year in and we've barely gotten out of the prologue. Test Tube and Fan havent even interacted more than once yet! Key word being yet, because they most certainly will! But it just goes to show how slow the process can be. And trust me, i have a looottt of story to tell.

The current plot point is serving as a bit of a second introduction to the character's settings since they are very shortly mentioned in the prologue. Sure these are also short, but the introduction of new characters (paintbrush and silverspoon) continues to add on to it nicely! Or atleast i hope so. This will also be some good ol' build up for the very expected fantube scenes, i mean, is it really a romcom if the main characters arent actually being romantic yet?

Anyway, how about some fun facts! Yea that sure does sound fun.

Uuhhh first fun fact is that pepper and tea kettle were supossed to appear in the prologue, but i decided to cut their presence because there were already a ton of characters being introduced and they only appeared for a single panel each! So no fun. Speaking of things thay were cut, there was about 2 entide prologue updates that were cut for time, and i do think it was the right choice to make.

One thats really funny is how cabby and test tube were originally going to be lab RIVALS instead of friends. They were planned to have this bitter rivalry within the company that would end up pushing eachother further down their scientific career, whats better than a little friendly competition am i right? Well, a lot of things actually! The main reason i cut it is because a lot of the comics premise is how relationships changed with the setting they're now thrown into, being a bit more like One and The Nightly Mannor in terms of society and social norms being similar to human ones. With that in mind, test tube and cabby's core characters have a lot in common, and were ultimately doomed by the reality show thing. So when we take the reality show away, we get test tube and cabby most likely being friends from the start! Funny enough, i ended up giving that rivalry to silver and candle (which is mostly one sided at the start of the original material) in some form of sick reverse psycology.

And i think thats about all i can say without giving spoilers? I might remember more stuff eventually since this is infact being written in the dead of night, which is the time all great ideas come to life of course, even the idea of brewed for two. So until next time, toodles!.
