To anyone who still doubts Buck and Eddie getting together, just keep these things in mind. Eddie didn’t even allow himself to be that vulnerable in front of the woman he was married to. He’s always treated Buck in a different way, trusting him fully with his entire heart and soul. Buck is a safe space for Eddie and Eddie is for Buck. These two have been through some very traumatic experiences and have heavily relied on each other for comfort and support. You don’t just allow yourself to break down fully like that in front of someone you don’t trust to help you back up. Eddie’s never let himself fully be vulnerable with anyone but Buck. Buck’s going to be his backbone during his healing. And somewhere during that healing, Eddie is going to make a decision on what Buck means to him and what he should do about it. He’s going to come out of all of this shining and realize that there will never be anyone who understands all of Eddie like Buck does. There will never be someone who will love Eddie unconditionally, someone who fits so wholly within Eddie’s very core like Buck does. And the same goes for Buck. During his support of Eddie’s healing, Buck is going to fully step in and give his all to Eddie and Christopher. And he will realize that no one will be enough for him like those two are. No one will love him for who he fully is either like Eddie does. They’re going to have certain realizations and finally decide to take that step past that invisible line. This is truly only the beginning for their love story.
