Toria & Hywel’s Beautiful Wedding At Coed
Oh my, drop everything and watch this wedding film!
Toria & Hywel hosted their beautiful wedding at Coed recently and commissioned Confetti & Cannons to produce a corker of a wedding film for them. They did a great job and we’re thrilled to share it with you all today.
There are so many elements to this wedding that I love. Toria, you rocked that dress! your headpiece was gorgeous and we LOVED your cool DM’s too. We also loved the delicate bouquets, ALL THE PRETTY DRESSES, the detail in the table decorations and not forgetting the abundance of glitter in the evening (got to love a glittered beard!) I so wish I was a guest!
What a great way to start married life together! Such a beautiful day for them. A huge congratulations Toria & Hywel!
lots of love from us Cwtch Girls xxx
vimeo
If you’ve never heard of Coed Weddings… why not? I had the pleasure of visiting it last year with Sharron (the wedding co-ordinator) She took me on a magical tour through the grounds of this special wedding venue and its easy to see why so many fall in love with it.
If you are currently overwhelmed with the hundreds of wedding venues available in Wales and looking for something completely unique and alternative, you need to take a look at Coed Weddings.
Enjoy, Maria x

#CWTCHFEST2018 SPOTLIGHT – POSH BEAR
Good morning Cwtchers,
We are days away now from our fabulous wedding festival in St Fagans National Museum of History.  #Cwtchfest2018 is a wonderfully chilled and inspiring way to enjoy your wedding planning.  Set in a field amongst the grounds of the museum you can spend the day getting involved in the workshops, listening to bands, finding your wedding suppliers, enjoying a cocktail (or 3), eating beautiful cakes, getting involved in demos or you can just lie in the sun- the choice is yours.
Yet to get your tickets?  Just click here
Our wonderful suppliers have been on the blog over the last month giving their wedding advice ahead of the day.  Today is the turn of the videographer
POSH BEAR
Posh Bear is a wedding videography company based in heart of the Welsh Valleys. We love capturing everything in your perfect day with our fly-on-the-wall documentary style filming that showcases those beautifully caught, natural moments. We film the entire day from the bridal perpetrations through to the first dance filming everything in between. Our services include full day filming, drone videography & photography, photo booth and guest messages and more. You can see our portfolio here
youtube
Five reasons to have a videographer at your wedding.
1. Capturing the emotions
Emotions can run high at numerous parts of your wedding day from walking down the aisle, your family and friends seeing you in your beautiful dress for the first time to the first dance as Mr and Mrs. A wedding film can capture all of these emotions and will be forever sentimental to look back on.
2. The best seat in the house.
Give your friends and family a front row seat during your entire wedding, let everyone see the moment you cried, laughed or accidently said the wrong name.  Share your day with relatives who could not attend, make them feel as they were there. We are by your side for the entire day capturing moments you can relive forever.
3.  It’s the little things that count
Almost any bride will tell you that she remembers her wedding day as one big blur and it all went by too fast. This is where we come in. See the moments you never got to on the day from your mother in law shedding a tear whilst saying your vows, guests mingling whilst your dad is doing his embarrassing moves on the dancefloor.  You cannot be in two places at once, leave that job to us, so sit back relax and enjoy your day in a completely new way.
4. Keepsake
This is not only a film but also a moment that you can treasure and relive over and over again. In years to come it will be so special to look back on such precious memories or to show to your children when they themselves are about to tie the knot. Sometimes a wedding film can turn into much more than it seems. As years go by, you will get to look back and remember old faces that may have passed on and having the opportunity to actually hear and see them again on film will be a treasured experience.
5. There are some dance moves photographs can never really capture
Our favourite moment of any wedding day is what we capture on the dancefloor. From your Nan doing the cha-cha slide to the best man attempting the worm, photographs can never truly capture these moments as well as film can. You never know, you could make a healthy profit of £250 from You’ve Been Framed from the clips of your dad imitating Beyoncé’s Single Ladies on the dancefloor.

#CWTCHFEST2018 SPOTLIGHT- THE GIN HIVE
#Cwtchfest2018 is happening a week tomorrow!!!  Find our fun, inspiring wedding festival at St Fagans National Museum of History on 22nd April.  After revealing the bands that will be entertaining in yesterdays blog post today we have one of our bars on the blog with their wedding advice.
Pop your wellies and sunnies on and grab some tickets here…
Today we throw our spotlight onto one of our bars The Gin Hive who have their top tips for your bar at your wedding
Top 5 tips for a great wedding bar
1.  People spend a lot of time at the bar at a wedding so make it a focal point for people to gather.
  2.  You don’t always have to serve sparkling as your drink on arrival a Gin punch is a great fun alternative or make your bar stand out and have a drink that means something to you His and Hers Cocktails add a great personal touch to any special day.
3.  Having a cocktail hour before your wedding breakfast can be a great way to keep guests entertained while pictures are taken and get the party started.
4.  Don’t be afraid to ask venues if you are able to supply your own drinks as this can often help save costs.
5.  Build your own drinks stations are a great way to let your guests be involved – Pimp your own GnT is one of our favourites or even a late light whisky station are always a huge hit.

CWTCHFEST SPOTLIGHT EXHIBITOR- NYTHU
The weekend is finally here and just 2 weeks to #Cwtchfest2018!!! We have been introducing some of our gorgeous exhibitors over the last few weeks.
We cannot wait to be back at St Fagans National museum of History with you all drinking a cocktail, listening to live music, watching a workshop and just generally kicking back for a day of wedding planning and inspiration.  If you are yet to get your tickets just click here.
Until then we have Nythu on the blog today offering their tips for creating a love nest once you are married.
Nythu (which means ‘to nest’ in Welsh) offers couples a bespoke online wedding gift list service. We work with independent craftspeople from Wales and the UK to bring you a carefully curated range of homewares, perfect for creating your love nest. Simply browse our collection, create your list online and share with friends and family – we’ll take care of the rest.
5 STEPS TO CREATING YOUR LOVE NEST
Your first few weeks together as a couple should be the most romantic, as you embark on married life together. Creating a love nest can help you appreciate that the simple things you do together daily are every bit as special as the grand gestures of your wedding day. Here are our tips for nurturing marital bliss.
Turn down the lights…
After the wedding madness you’ll need time to unwind; use the soft ambient light of a lamp as an alternative to harsh ceiling lights to create a warm and soothing atmosphere.
Cwtch-up together…
Weddings are about sharing your happiness with friends and family, but now’s the time to re-connect, just the two of you. Wrap yourselves in the softest and most luxurious of blankets and while the night away.
Be present…
After months of wed-min, spending your evenings checking and responding to emails, you can now turn off your phones and enjoy a glass of wine together.
Share a treat…
Be it gooey pudding, expensive ice cream or sticky popcorn… Treat yourselves – but make sure it’s from the same bowl!
Reminisce…
Laugh out loud as you remember the best man’s speech or when Aunty Margaret drank too much prosecco… Your wedding may have cost a small fortune, but your memories are priceless.

My style is warm, romantic and modern, using light and scenery to frame the moment.
I love to take relaxed portraits in natural surroundings and capture genuine emotion and atmosphere of the day.
My aim is to be unobtrusive; to become as invisible as possible to get authentic shots of the occasion.     I am looking forward to meeting you on the 22nd April

Today we are meeting The Welsh Cheese Company who have started doing a range of beautifully delicious Cheese Wedding cakes- an ever increasing popular choice- just check out these beauties!
A cheese wedding cake makes a gorgeous and unique centre-piece for a wedding, as well as providing ample evening food for your guests.

All of our cakes are made from the very best Welsh artisan cheeses. We work directly with farmhouse cheese producers from all corners of Wales to source the finest cheese that Wales has to offer.

Our top tips for cheese wedding cakes…
1.  We recommend that you allow between 70g and 100g of cheese per guest, depending on whether your cheese will be served as an evening buffet or directly after the wedding breakfast.

2.  Make sure your cake is made up of an interesting variety of cheeses so all guests will enjoy the selection. The combinations in our cakes are carefully selected, but we can also work with couples to create bespoke cakes.

3.  Don’t forget crackers and chutneys! We can provide these for you or we can recommend other condiments that will compliment your cheeses.
