 petite , slender hands coil around a thin sheet of fabric that canopied her majesty’s court ;  offering a ripe apologetic smile to the freshly liberated gem .

 ❝ lapis lazuli , i have just received news that my diamond won’t be attending any meetings   today . what might you be here for ? ❞

The Pearl was greeted with a QUIRKED eyebrow and a less than e n t h u s e d frown as she gazed at her through the transparent visor that covered her gem. Did pearls not even have numbers to identify themselves with? At least peridots had numbers and letters to follow. Peridot wasn’t sure why she was concerning herself with a mere PEARL, but there was nothing better to do with her time.

     || :❝ JUST a pearl ? You don’t even have number identification ? ❞

she finds herself fallen into a small curtsy , her chest tightening . for she had  always seemed to find herself completely INTIMIDATEDby gems aside from  the other pearls ; but the court of yellow diamond , in particular - they  SCARED  her . but her lips tremble a moment before rising , stiffening her  shoulder  blades & placing a fist about her transparent gem .

  ┆┆  VEILED GAZE TURNING to the tiny pearl she rest her fingertips to the little things shoulder. A dance would ease her tension, so she let’s the BRAVERY that would be punishable in any other time go. Only this time.    

                  — ❛ I will allow it. ❜

 ❝ thank you , my diamond , ❞ she recalls every other time she’d danced for  her  ; but without hesitation , feet tiptoe in circles , pirouettes , an adagio  performance glazing over her ; but this was an honour . not just ANY pearl  could be offered such a privilege to dance before her diamond .

   the discomfort that filled the court of her majesty had unsettled the pearl ; but she’d known that while        her help is nothing , attempting to try couldn’t hurt her . ( could it ? )                         - ❝ might i DANCE for you , my diamond ?                             it may bring you some ease during these wretched times . . . ❞

 PANIC   flourishes through her face , a ripe sensation of withdraw begs at her    throat ; jailing words from  escaping her cold lips . her hands lower , twiddling  at the peridot’s question . she knew not  how come ; but  it’d only just occurred to herself that she’d no other way of identification , other than the number assigned to  her during contraception .
