earlier today i told an acquaintance in passing that i'll often be in the middle of a novel and think "man i wish this shit were more ambiguous" and had to reiterate twice that i wasn't being sarcastic before they believed me, so this post is to say: i love when writers don't bother to explain everything, i love when stories end uncertain and unsettling, i love being required to think as a reader, i love when stuff makes no damn sense, no i'm not kidding

that some people respond to any well-foreshadowed reveal with “ugh that plot twist was so predictable” proves bad faith criticism has rotted their brains to the point they think it’s bad writing if they can correctly identify information the writers were intentionally giving them

I hope you know you are the best marketing department for Barbarities and your art has convinced my cheap ass to go buy these so I can see Luis be a little brat in the best way possible. Seven Seas needs to give you a check for your hard work in getting the word out there

Omg lol I’m just happy if I can convince anyone to buy the books, I’ve enjoyed a lot of attention because of Gil & Luis so I want to pay it forward to Tsuta of course, and stuff like continuations/spin-offs/merch/drama cds/etc become way more likely the better the books sell. I’m really surprised at how many people have told me they bought the books because of my fanart though. I wish I could follow the sales lol
