Celebrating my Birthday with 5 curiosities about my art! ⬇️

1. BEFORE DIGITAL ART I USED TO DRAW REALISTIC PORTRAITS

I mostly used pencils and blending stumps. It was fun but I scrapped many works and was looking for something faster and easier. That’s when I found digital art. I was really intrigued so I started with the combo iPad + Procreate and became a digital artist!

2. LANDSCAPES AND PAINTINGS BEFORE FINDING MY OWN STYLE

Once I got my iPad I explored here and there and tried bringing my traditional art into procreate by making portraits with a pencil brush. I didn’t like how it was going so I tried with paintings. I eventually gave up on people and focused on landscapes. I watched some tutorials for learning and once I got confident I went back to portraits and eventually found my style with hundreads of attempts!

3. THE OUTFITS I MAKE MATCH A SPECIFIC AURA

When I was 15 and used to make my own Mortal Kombat characters I started playing a lot with clothes and accessories. That styling passion never left me and when I combined this with my love for Shadowhunters’s angelic concepts I started giving all my portraits specific outfits and armors to give them a beautiful yet powerful aura!

4. MY MAIN INSPIRATION COMES FROM MORTAL KOMBAT

I play this legendary saga since I was 7 and all the games come with tons of detailed and eccentric outfits for their characters. Growing up I wanted my art to look like that, especially like Edenian characters which are all beautiful, royal and intimidating! Many of my works in fact follow Kitana’s elegant fashion style!

5. BLITE GRAYSTORM IS ACTUALLY ME

I took it for granted but not everybody knows it: Blite Graystorm is me. He’s based on my face and brings the style I’d love to have in real life as well: white hair, gray eyes, eccentric outfits. I made my hair grow for 3 years and eventually dyed white, got some gray lenses too but never understood how to properly wear them. One day we’ll be twins!
