Before sleeping, I want to take this moment to thank everyone here who showed their support.

My goal with this blog is to heal my inner childhood wounds and my current adulthood, which still carries my own prejudices about Black people, women, and culture — even though I am a Black woman myself.

PS: I saw Beyoncé tonight for the first time! Jay-Z was there too. He played "Niggas in Paris" — which was interesting, because the night before, I watched Black People in France (les Noirs en France), a documentary about racism and how many Black women work as housemaids, even though they left their countries hoping for a better life. Yet they often end up being treated like modern-day domestic servants — almost like a soft, unspoken form of slavery, especially in the homes of white families.

So yes, thank you so much.

Back to the Cowboy Carter show — I was so happy. It made me want to embrace this part of my Blackness even more. I hope I can keep sharing that here.
