Update: NYPD officers Dave Leonardi, Kaz Daughtry, Joseph Kenny and James Curcio—all known to falsify statements, engage in police misconduct, or have been caught planting evidence—were each involved in the handling of Luigi Mangione's case. This along with the fact they interrogated Luigi under duress without Mirandizing him are placing extreme doubt on the prosecution.

Each of these officers—especially Dave Leonardi as he's been caught doing this multiple times in the past, including framing innocent people—and as he is the head detective on Luigi's Mangione's case, are all under scrutiny after it was found they tampered with Luigi's bag contents and it is believed they might have planted key items in the case's evidence. Additionally, Luigi Mangione's legal and constitutional rights were violated and knowledge of his rights were intentionally withheld from him in order to coerce him to say things they could then twist to make him seem more guilty. Kaz Daughtry was involved in the mishandling of this part of Luigi's case even while still in Altoona, Pennsylvania.

This isn't just "police fucked up the case" or "we know the NYPD is corrupt"; this is at LEAST four high up the NYPD police command have a history of this exact behavior and are almost certainly maliciously manipulating evidence and creating false allegations against Luigi Mangione, as well as have already been exposed mishandling his case with extreme negligence.

And we know the names and faces of the ones responsible.
