STEPS TO COMPRESS IMAGES: WINDOWS - MICROSOFT POWERPOINT

Open your PowerPoint file.

Select a slide that contains an image or picture.

Select the image or picture.

Click the Picture Format ribbon at the top of the screen.

Click Compress Pictures.

Select the checkbox to Delete cropped areas of pictures option to reduce the size of the image or picture in the presentation.

Choose Email (96 ppi): minimize document size for sharing.

Uncheck Apply only to this picture if you want all of the pictures in the entire presentation to be compressed so you will have a smaller file size.

Click OK.

Tip 2: Insert Your Pictures Instead of Copying and Pasting

The JPG (Joint Photographic Experts Group) format is a lossy compressed file format for pictures. Usually, a picture of JPG takes less storage space than that of BMP (Bitmap) and PNG (Portable Network Graphic).

When you copy a picture and paste it to a PowerPoint file, the picture might be reformatted to BMP or PNG, which makes your PowerPoint file larger finally. So, you’d better add the picture to PowerPoint with the insert function which maintains the original format of the involved pictures.

When you save an image, you need to select an image format for it. If you choose between the PNG and JPG, learning the difference on PNG vs JPG is vital.

Tip 3: Do Not Edit Images in PowerPoint

Before inserting a picture in PowerPoint, you’d better make sure you don’t need to make any further edits for it. Any edits for the picture within the PowerPoint file will be saved as a part of the file, which means that a lot of extra stuff would be stored.

Once you pick up a server, to get its IP address type on your PC in console (cmd.exe on Windows/ Terminal on Macintosh):

This will give you IP address of server, type that on your phone.

Also it is possible that your phone uses a proxy from your ISP, You can try to disable ISP proxy in phone settings.

Please go to Control Panel --> Network and Internet --> Network Connections --> 'Change Adapter Settings' and enable 'Astrill SSL VPN'To do so, right click on 'Astrill SSL VPN' and select 'Enable'

If you can't find 'Astrill SSL VPN' under 'Change Adapter Settings', you would need to do the following.

Log in to Astrill application --> Press and hold the 'CTRL' key on keyboard and click on HELP tab in Astrill application.Then click on 'TAP Hide/Show' option and confirm the Windows prompt to allow changes. 'Astrill SSL VPN' will appear under 'Change Adapter Settings' and you can enable it.

We did intensive tests and found the issue is not in our software at all.

Recent Chrome/Chromium browsers have internal DNS client, so they bypass system DNS resolver. Astrill can control only system DNS resolver. There is an option to disable this new feature and use system resolver.

To do so, type:chrome://flags

Then search for Asynchronous DNS, set it to Disabled. Restart browser. This should fix your issue.

How to Download & Install Astrill on Android device

1. You can download Android version of Astrill application from http://www.astrill.com/download/android and then click on Google Play icon.

You can also go directly to Google Play store and search for Astrill VPN.

By default the application uses Fast(UDP) mode & the port is also set to Auto. Whereas, there are other ports as 80, 443 & user-defined available too.

Application Filter

This Astrill feature can be used to filter applications that's tunneling through VPN. It has 3 options: Tunnel all, Tunnel selected and Exclude selected and by default it is set to Tunnel all.

You can choose Tunnel selected option and select which app/s from the list you'd like to tunnel through VPN like facebool, gmail, chrome etc. Those apps that are not selected will go directly with your ISP.

You can also choose Exlude selected option and select which app/s you want to go directly with your ISP. Selected apps like facebook, gmail and chrome will not be tunneled through VPN.

Show Logs

This option is very useful for debugging purpose and also for verifying if there is any issue with VPN connectivity. It allows the user to troubleshoot an issue with technical details provided within it.

Extend Account

It can be used to extend subscription of the account directly, instead of browsing to Members page.

Logout

Use this option to logout from Astrill app.

To use this widget, or any other Android widget, after installing the free App, choose a place on your front screen with enough space, i.e. go left, center or right, depending on where you have room for the clock. Then press MENU, then ADD, then WIDGET, then Clear Clock Widget. It should appear on the screen unless there isn't enough space.

Pressing it like a button will bring up the Alarm Clock program.

To get rid of this or any other Android widget, press and hold the widget, then drag it to the trash symbol. (It should turn RED first, then be discarded.) The widget can be replaced on the screen again later, until you remove the application entirely.
