He compares Nandor leaving being the same as him quitting multiple times in the past. He feels like he understands Nandor in that situation now. IMMEDIATELY after he says that the montage begins. I personally believe the first quote is about Nandor getting upset at Guillermo when Guillermo does something that's intended to be a loving gesture but ends up being misunderstood by Nandor and gets scolded, telling Guillermo to bring himself together and be a better familiar. When Guillermo leaves in Collaboration, Nandor wants him back.

The second one is about Guillermo. Nandor apologies for how he's treated Guillermo but Guillermo still isn't getting what he wants from Nandor, but he blames himself for expecting any real change to happen in their relationship. When Nandor leaves to the Wellness Center, Guillermo can't stand the thought of not serving him so he forces Nandor back. They're both at fault for not having clarity in their feelings about their relationship.
