“I really like your dress and your corsage.” The words are spoken softly while fingers fidget with the hem of her torn and bloody skirt. She hadn’t expected to find anyone else this far out. And maybe she shouldn’t have been out here either. But she needed time by herself. Well mostly alone. Nick still hung around at her side yet he hasn’t quite been the conversationalist like he use to be. “You look pretty..” A small smile is offered with the compliment.

the prom queen kneels before her makeshift altar, candles of varying sizes burning around her, blood pooling at her knees. carrie doesn't notice the other girl come in, stumbling through broken gym doors. so, she jumps a little at her sudden voice, gasping, flinching; as if she'd been struck. 🙏

widened eyes turn towards the figure silently, hands still clasped together as she simply stared at the intruder, the survivor, the sinner. their words were kind, sure, but... 🙏

" you're not... supposed to be here. " carrie states, voice a bit froggy from the tears still wetting her face, and general disuse. 🙏

thinking abt carrie in trials, vs outside of them, how she seems the realm itself, and her reason for being there... 

basically, she thinks she’s in hell, and that the survivors are sinners, bullies, etc etc. she is their judge, jury, and executioner, but this place... it’s her punishment, too. it’s a constant reminder of what happened, and she deserves to be here after what’d she done, she thinks so.

in trials the entity purposefully riles her up, feeds into her vengeful side, but outside of them, she’s more just... quiet, sad, prays a lot, all of that.
