Hello! @:)! I think Wally would regard it the same as any Variation in apple! Green doesn't taste like Red, and Red doesn't taste Golden. Perhaps he's a little mortified that the Apple presents itself as a liquid, or maybe a lollipop- It all gets confusing from there. Barnaby probably says something like, "You got bigger problems than that, kid!" And Wally looks, and Barnaby says, "I got your nose!"

Then we devolve into back-forth conversation of Wally going, "I had a nose?" and Barnaby replying, "Not anymore you don't!" before pretending to eat it.

Making a mask less design for a masked character is hard, but I'm improvising. colors from items they're event gives, going based on (what I learned was boots and gloves later but I'm not changing it) visible parts of the fur. It feels good though. I think I'll do a headcanon design of another one to match him.
