Hey, I write! Here at this site
Right now it’s just some short stories and the first chapter of the story I’m currently working on. I hope to have more available soon.
All my work is available for free, but I do have a tip jar linked on the site, which I’ll also put here. Like I said it’s all free, but tips would be appreciated if you chose to give any.

“Why do people deserve food for free?”. The answer is the third word in that question. They’re people. If that’s not enough for you then I don’t think your problem stops with if people can pay for it.
a society that allows people to starve when there is food has failed. like. that’s it.

In my opinion, someone trying to be better but hitting habitual bumps in the road or just not fully able to understand the meaning of what they’re saying(I’m assuming from the “accidental”) is far less dehumanizing than someone trying to verbally buff and polish you so you’re social appearance is pretty enough to put in a plastic box.
Yeah slurs suck. I don’t like being called slurs. But trying to force people to be squeaky clean and perfect is terrible.
Being made into a doll for someone to show off how woke and accepting they are is far more dehumanizing.
I'd rather hang out with someone who keeps accidentally calling me slurs but treats me like a person, than someone who actively polices every word anyone says and acts like belonging to a marginalised group is my only redeeming quality as a person.

I don’t really understand how something can be 4th dimensional. Cause when I envision the 1st dimension, I see it as existing on the x axis. When something becomes 2 dimensional, it exists on both the x And y axis. It’s able to be more than just a line, it can be circles and squares and triangles and curves.
When it gains the 3rd dimension, you add the z axis. Now you can be more than just a square, you can be a cube. You could be a flat circle, or you could be a sphere. You can be pyramids and all sorts of unthinkable shapes. You can be a complex amalgamation of circles and triangles and ovals and cubes and cylinders. And we can break and stretch our entrails out from ourselves and unravel. We are swirling clay and sinew roiling skyward and braiding into beings that the one dimensional likes can never comprehend. We can change it ways that second dimensional shapes can begin to comprehend, in the way that they can comprehend the changing of their colors or the way they morph and slide along their axis, while one dimensional dots and lines would break before they ever understood what we are like, only able to exist as Morse code. We are dust that bends and bleeds and opens and then folds back into ourselves to heal. We are what happens when the earth kisses the sky and electric passion sparks and strikes between them. We grow and twist and sing of ourselves as we sing of our dreams.
All of this is to say my only chance of surviving staring into the face of a lovecraftian horror is my unconcerned and blasé nature.

The solution to ableism isn't for me to "stop calling myself disabled", it's for everyone to stop treating "disabled" as a bad word

as a person who uses either public bathroom on a toss of a coin i gottta say its kind of ridicuous that people are so attached to them being seperate facilities. youre not usually gonna see anyones dick at the urinal and youre not usually gonna be able to spy on any women. the stalls are the same except one has a little tampon bin. we would lose nothing if all bathrooms were unisex and i'll die on that hill.

Part of the reason I'm so adamant about encouraging people to get comfortable with bugs, my own interests aside, is because we cannot have a bright, solarpunk future without them.
A green future is not a bugless future. It is, in fact, a fairly bugful future. If you care about ecological stability, then you need to start with bugs, because they're the most at risk with our current use of pesticides.

with love. you have to fact check shit. yes you. you still have to fact check shit. a lot of people are great at fact checking stuff they don’t want to be true, but somehow are still absolute ass at fact checking stuff that’s rhetorically convenient to them. even people my age, who I KNOW grew up doing internet/bibliography literacy workshops, and being warned not to believe anything that isn’t reliably sourced, people who DO harp on fact checking conservative output or whatever, are still kneejerk sharing unsourced shit that is partially or wholly untrue or misleading, because it suits whatever narrative they’re pursuing in that moment, without even a “take this with a grain of salt”. fact check!!!!!! look at the sources!!!!! yes it’s a drag!!! do it!!!!!

This might be unpopular but I’m not going to use simpler vocabulary in my writing if it’s out of character for the narrator. If my POV character is a botanist, he’s going to call a plant by its name. If you don’t know what it is you can either Google it or move on just knowing it’s a plant of some sort.
I don’t like this trend of readers being angry that not everything is 100% understandable for them. I want my characters to be believable as people and sometimes people use words people outside of their field will not understand. That’s not a bad thing.
You don’t have to understand every word to get the gist of what’s happening. I’m not going to slow down an action scene to describe every weapon because someone might not know them by name. They can just assume it’s a weapon because that makes sense in the context of the scene.

if you’re a baby trans and you haven’t started smoking cigarettes or vaping yet don’t. it’s actually not that hot or interesting. It will just cause you ungodly frustrations and suffering and cost you a bunch of money and be next to impossible to quit
