happy two days since the finale and some well-meaning reminders for you nerds:

by the time they had their last night of celebrating in nicodranas, f/j had been dating for a total of about 3 weeks.

jester's epilogue, funnily enough, had zero mention of anything like lifelong romantic relationships or marriage or you know, what could even remotely sound like staying with fjord for the rest of her life.

jester's got wanderlust to the point of making artagan promise to take her to the feywild someday, and she completely understood when he talked about the feeling of "eating the same food every day, even if it's delicious" to explain why he was going to travel more as well.

even the lucidian ocean doesn't hold everything in the prime material plane to be seen and enjoyed, much less other planes and other worlds.

after a while at sea, boats get small.

caleb doesn't remain in a relationship with our resident lovely dunamancer for the rest of his life either, only for a little while.

he teaches at a preeminent magical academy and probably does whatever research he wants. never made any mention of being there 24/7 or all days of the year.

you know who else can cast plane shift as well as teleport and already understands how the fey work? who could easily make time to travel to wherever in the planes jester might want to go? caleb.

how am i supposed to be content with f/////j when they got like two hugs this episode and silly make outs since ~the kiss~ and caleb is out here screaming jester's name and willing her wounds to heal and willing her to be teleported to safety and yelling you're killing her you're killing her you love her and you're killing her

and jester is the one to heal caleb from being unconscious and revive him from death

widojest really out here being the most poignant and beautiful ship, other than beauyasha like !!!!!

i'm taking a trip down memory lane. watching compilations, edits, gifsets and i was reminded of some good times we had, we've seen.

when widojest was two rough cut people trying to fit together without hurting eachother. the baby steps. the pushing on boundaries. the jokes. the touches.

watching two people come together. one wearing it's pain like an armor so it keeps people away, the other wearing a mask so people will like and never leave her, and recognising that pain in eachother.

watching them helping eachother, their relationship deepen ever so slowly. confining in eachother. secrets that only those two hold. like hands. holding on so tight. i'm here. i'm here for you.

using magic to make the other one happy. helping him study with enhancing his abilities. making illusions tailored for her. knowing the other's dreams and offering a helping hand. knowing the other's insecurities, and offering a shoulder to lean on.

worrying for the other. concern. frustration. jealousy. arguments. not for long. never for long. she's charming. he's my home.

beginnings and ends. together, inseparable. even if others didn't see it. even if she didn't. or she did, but was afraid. and now they both are. and silence is safe. silence means things stay like this, forever. friends, and maybe a little more, but always less than what they really want. close, yet so far. uselessy, forever.
