HELP FOR SONIC ARTISTS

I’m a piece of shit but I wanted to make this post in case there are more people out there who had the same problem as me. For those who needed a REAL reference of Sonic characters in order to learn how to draw them from different angles and know their anatomy well. I came across Sketchfab, here people upload 3D models online (some FanArt, other originals extracted from the games, one realizes when they see them or just read the description), including models of old games like Sonic R. And of course, not only Sonic, you can find 3D models of animals, monsters, people, armors, weapons, vehicles etc, so I think it is very useful for any artists!

Anyway, I leave the links to models that I personally liked the most.

Look, I know Shadow technically works for GUN in Sonic '06 and that, but i made it a little different. What I mean is that he does work with them, but he's mainly called over for high stakes missions. Idk he doesn't seem like someone to willingly work somewhere with limited control full time.

Either way, he's the only one actually earning anything in their house. Sonic's adventures don't exactly come with payments. It's not a billionares worth, but it's enough to help Cedar live comfortably. (More Cedar than themselves-)

Oh yeah, about living areas:

After Eggman retired. With all that Sonic had done to save everyone, he was offered a proper home free of any payments. He obviously turned it down, since he'd rather live freely instead of settling just yet, but they kept the property ready in case he changed his mind.

Sonic only accepted the house when finding Cedar.

When Sonic first found Cedar, him and Shadow weren't exactly a thing, (a bit of a messy story with those two) so he barely knew Cedar. He only got the chances when him and Sonic started dating. Cedar was 3 by that time.

I like to think Shadow is good with kids at around Cream's age but struggles a bit with babies and toddlers. He doesn't hate them, but his patience will waver, especially with his mood. So, Cedar definitely tested him a bit. With small instances of him snapping on the poor kid and immediately regretting it.

Overtime, he "masters the skills" of how to manage Cedar better. (This is how he'd probably word it at least), and the two grow closer overtime.

Their current relationship is really emotional. Granted both dads have pretty emotional bonds with them. What I mean is, with Cedar's own childhood trauma, Shadow became someone he could share that experience with, along with other pains.

I love the idea of both Sonic and Shadow being helpful in their own ways. Sonic is one to give advice and verbal comfort, while Shadow is one to simply listen and provide physical comfort. This is not to say this is all the two do. Both can listen, and both can talk. They just have varying approaches. Hopefully, this makes sense-

With all this, Cedar is more likely to vent to Shadow first before going to Sonic unless it's strictly between one dad and them.

And yeah that's all I can dump as of now. If anyone has more questions, whether big or small, a reminder that my askbox is always open!

In a general sense, Shadow is protective of Cedar, despite the amount of "Sonic-ness" that rubs off on them, he still loves them. And they love him too.
