My Main Characters

Vera Helène

- believer, (not what you think), has served them “proudly” for just over two decades. Was taken by the believers at age six, where she was brainwashed and marked as property, barely knowing how to live her own life. Struggling to deal with the world when she was eventually on her own. Mentored by Lilyanna Zaitseva until the age of 16. A vengeful, questionable woman, but has got a good heart.

Aleksandra (Sasha) Helène

- grew up in the suburbs, though with an unstable father and no mother. works as a doctor. Suddenly reunited with someone she was sure she’d lost forever. Unfortunately slips into substance abuse after a great loss.

Anya Cikic

- Born into an extremely religious family and community, growing up to resent herself for her sexual orientation, seeking forgiveness with the wrong man, which leads to many issues in her life.

Jordan Hayes

- raised in an institution which has the sole purpose of raising and training monsters to fight against each other for other peoples entertainment. Jordan, a lycanthrope, struggles to find a purpose and identity for themself after spending their whole life with the sole purpose to destroy, to hurt. They are hit with a sudden identity crisis they didn’t have the time to worry about in captivity, along with trying to navigate their condition without putting their loved ones and themself at risk.

Lilyanna Zaitseva

- believer. harsh, distant woman struggling to navigate her job and the care for a girl she was assigned to care for until she was of age to join her in the field. Grew up in an unstable family with an abusive father, managing to escape with her sister, Marya, after his accidental death. Though this escape only brought them problems, as they landed on the streets with no money, Marya was forced to resort to sex work to keep them from starving, which eventually lead to her murder, leaving lilyanna alone at just twelve. Being the Believers’ recruiters’ favourite target. A vulnerable, impressionable and angry child.
