Marinette is obsessed with finding new things from the human world (her favorites are her yo-yo, sewing supplies, and the statue of prince adrien that she found). She’s got shell earrings that hawkmoth enchants so that she can take them off and become human.

i have a ton of extra sketches to go with it, too. Hawkmoth is ursula, lila/volpina is vanessa. Adrien, obviously, is prince eric, and nathalie is grimsby. Tikki is a mix of sebastian and flounder (but she’s a crab) and plagg is eric’s dog, now turned cat.

Neither of them really did it for the recognition. Marinette acted as Ladybug out of being able to do the right thing. She had this power to save others, and a responsibility of being entrusted with her kwami and the miraculous stones. Still, a little recognition here and there never hurt. It was just something to show how grateful people were to have the super heroes around. And now Ladybug’s gift to Chat Noir was an appreciation that he was her partner, through and through.

Living in the bakery for all of her life, Marinette took sweets for granted. Sweets weren’t like little treasures for her, but she supposed it was because she had grown up helping the preparation of the baked goods. As a result, her tasting sweets wasn’t for anything more than a small reward and to make sure the batch tasted good enough to sell. It never had quite as much meaning as it did to others.

Ladybug couldn’t help smiling and giving a small giggle as the other opened the gift, happy that the other enjoyed it so well. Perhaps sweets didn’t put a smile on her face like others, but the smiles it put on others from tasting something she helped create was more than enough reward. 

“If you like it that much, maybe I should get you sweets more often~” she responded with a tease, knowing too many sweets might make for a chubby chat. “Come on, we still have to patrol. If your lucky, the sweets might taste better in front of the monuments we patrol,” she said lightly, though still allowing her to be serious enough about starting their patrol.

“Can you move? Does it hurt? ”

If there could be humor to be found in the situation, his brain could not comprehend it, his senses fuzzy and deluded. He might have been knocked out briefly, where images of — well, none wanted to take a closer look at the thoughts in his head, even he didn’t want to know sometimes what lurked just out of sight, lightly grazing the surface. He could not remember when the Lady showed, only that she was suddenly there, helping herself to a plummet down into the depths of…. wherever it was he haphazardly landed.

He coughed, inhaling dust and debris, quite disagreeable with what his lungs were willing to accept. His shoulder was killing him, his arm numb, blood dribbling down his chin. From what source, he couldn’t tell. It didn’t much matter, not at the immediate moment, not when he cracked open his eyes and saw…. HER hovering there.

He looked confused a moment, recognitions failure to pass across his face. Oh, what a Shakespearean tragedy it must be, two criss-crossed lovers deep connection snuffed out before it could catch wind and take off!

“Ah…” Came the breathless sigh, a goofy smile tugging at a corner of his mouth. “Do mine eyes deceive me? An angel of such benevolent light, here to stand before me? Rarely am I granted such pleasure, to present this truth I might treasure, a divine beauty, of love and duty—!“ He winced, hissing in a breath, trying hard to ignore, to put on a smile so she didn’t worry.

“Oh, I’m fine, My Lady.” He coughed, hacked. “I just… I just need to lay down a minute.” Right in the middle of battle, ya know, no big deal or nothing.

”The game is over, my son. Give me your miraculous and I’ll spare her”

Consider this: Hawkmoth uses an unconcious Adrien as bait and manages to get Ladybug’s miraculous after a long and difficult battle. Hawkmoth has learned most of her weaknesses after so many battles against each other, one weakness in particular: Adrien. Ladybug surrenders her miraculous after Hawkmoth threatens Adrien’s life. Then when sleeping beauty awakens and sees what has happened while he was out, Adrien flips his shit. All hell breaks loose, culminating in Chat Noir losing his miraculous after Hawkmoth de-transforms to reveal Gabriel Agreste. Chat being too shell shocked to even think properly, didn’t even manage to fight back when his dear old dad takes his ring. Game Over.

There had been a flash... A flash of pretty green eyes, of short, blond hair...

It had been so quick that Marinette almost thought she was dreaming, had it not been for the fact that the she remembered the person and their song leading her and the ship astray. But... if she was on the shore now, after falling, he must have saved her, correct? Perhaps it was her own clumsiness, her own unlucky status that caused her to fall in in the first place. After all, someone who saved her life couldn’t be bad, could they?

But it had only been a flash. As the girl’s eyes focused, she tried looking around, before getting herself to sit up on the sand, trying to find her savior. “Hello?” she called, trying to find her hero.

Adrien carefully poked his head above the surface, surveying the waters around him. The ship he’d been following was straying close to his Father’s cove… Something Gabriel would not be happy about. He’d drown the whole crew and make sure that not a single soul managed to make it to shore.

Not that Adrien really liked humans… Well, he didn’t mind the concept of them. As long as they didn’t destroy the coral reefs that he called home. Maybe he could draw them off with a song… Yes! That way no one had to drown! Adrien took a deep breath, starting a careful, crooning melody as he swam.
