What happened in Marley

Pairing: Levi Ackerman x female reader
Warning: NSFW 18+, minors dni, spoilers for s4 of aot!
Concept: A passionate night between you and Levi in Marley leads to Levi pushing you away, until one night where he can't control his feelings anymore.
"(name)? You alright? You don't seem quite yourself ever since we got back from Marley."
Onyankopon asks taking a sip from his glass, he has been wondering why you had recently been acting strange, almost as if your mind was in a totally different place.
"I've been....." You glump, mouth going dry. It's not like you can actually tell him what was bothering you ".. thinking about Eren, the rumbling, you know, the whole shebang."
He takes another sip out of his glass, unconvinced by your words. Not wanting to push it further, he stands up after finishing his drink. "You can always talk to me you know that."
"I know, thanks, Pon." Smiling at you, he stands up bringing the now empty glass with him and exiting your room.
You sigh trying to focus on anything else but memories of that night with Levi in Marley. Everything reminds you of it, the flowers on your table reminding you of the vase that broke as he pinned you against the counter or even the birds outside that remind you of waking up next to him than doing it again.
Both of you agreed that it was a one-time thing, a night where the two of you are able to express your love for each other.
But it feels as if that one night wasn't enough for you and hopefully for him.
It feels like pieces of your own body are missing. His lips left a permanent mark on your skin.
From your childhood you were taught that Eldians are the spawn of the devil, how they are the cause for all of your countries problems.
How are you going to explain that you madly fell in love with an Eldian to people who taught you those things? You won't. Not if Levi asks you to stay.
________________
Levi tries his best to focus on finding Eren, reading his letter over and over again however all of those words on paper make no sense, you are consuming his mind. He can't stop thinking about that night two weeks ago.
Your soft skin under his touch, those beautiful noises you made, everything about you was driving him mad.
In his mind, you're perfect even with all your flaws, there is nothing more he loves than you.
Levi knows that those walls he built around his heart were knocked down by you and yet, he isn't ready to give himself to you. You deserve better, you deserve someone who isn't stuck in an endless circle of pain, someone who knows how to express themselves without hurting your feelings.
He isn't ready and he isn't ready to give you away to someone else better either.
For one moment he let himself go and it ended with you two having the most passionate sex ever in your lives. Levi's thoughts are interrupted when he hears a soft knock on the door.
"Come in." When your head pops up from behind the door, Levi can feel his breath stop for a moment. He hasn't talked to you in two weeks, trying his best to avoid you.
But you know him too well, he isn't ignoring you because he is mad, he is ignoring you because he is scared. He always has been scared to let people in and you understand, after losing many loved people it's easier to push them away not to get hurt again.
"Hey.." You awkwardly step in. There is a weird feeling in the air that you can't explain. ".. how have you been?"
Levi doesn't say anything, instead, he just returns to the work before him, he has to push you away, he is like a curse, if you get too close he might lose you and Levi can't stand the thought of that happening.
"What no answer?" Closing the door behind you, you lean your head back on the door letting out a long sigh of frastuiton.
"Look I know that what wa-"
"Shouldn't have happened," Levi says completely bluntly, not wanting to look at you. "But it did." You walk closer to his table, wanting to at least try to talk to him.
"It shouldn't have. I'm busy. Get out." The coldness in his tone surprises you, he still didn't look at you since you came in.
"Fine then..... I'll be in my room if you want to talk." You exit his office, now even more frustrated than before. Levi wasn't making this easy for you.
As soon as you close the door behind you, Levi stops his pen. He runs his fingers through his hair, you aren't making things easy for him.
_________________________________________
Later that night, you are sitting at your window looking at the stars in the sky. It's a beautiful night, just like the one in Marley. As much as you try not to think about it, you can't stop that memory of Levi's lips on your skin.
It was like poison, each memory can be felt more on your body. You thought that having sex would put your feelings for him at ease at least a little, instead, they only increased with every passing minute.
You have no idea what Levi wants, you do know what you want and that is him. A few quiet knocks on your door grab your attention.
"It's me." You hear Levi's voice and you're at the door in no time. When you open it, Levi is there, grey eyes as cold as ever. He doesn't sit instead only stands in the middle of your room looking you directly in the eyes this time.
"Listen. You are a great person and I-I... You deserve better."
You raise your eyebrow at him, Levi has always been someone who struggled with words when it came to expressing his feelings. He isn't being honest here.
"That night. That was proof of what we both know Levi."
"No. It was a moment of weakness and that's about it. No personal feelings involved."
"You're really saying that you don't have feelings for me?" You cross your arms against your chest, growing impatient as he takes longer to answer.
A lamp grows in Levi's throat. He does, damn him he does. He wouldn't know how to live if you looked at another man like you look at him.
"No." It comes out colder than Levi wanted to, almost as if it came out of hate instead of burning love that he has for you.
"Alright then, you know where the door is." That's all you say as you turn your back on him, eyes full of tears.
Levi doesn't say another word instead grants your wishes and walks out of your room. God he hated himself, it felt like someone ripped his heart straight out of his chest when he was saying those words to you.
As much as it hurt, it was better this way. You would stay away from him and move on and he, he will forever keep falling into the endless pit of pain and love.
_________________________________________ Few weeks have passed since you and Levi last spoke, few weeks have passed since he broke your heart. You haven't been feeling at all well, trying your best to keep your eyes off of Levi anytime your paths crossed. You missed him.
Levi has been in his office most of the time, not even bothering to come out. Only when he has to eat or drink.
He isn't in a good mood these days, just last week Sasha came to dinner with tears in her eyes because he yelled at her for accidentally spilling tea on the floor.
It was unusual behavior, he has never raised his tone at one of the kids outside of training. Clearly, something is getting to him and you think you know just what.
As your thoughts keep wondering, a loud knock surprised you. Who could it be at this time of the night?
When you open the door, your eyes go wide. Levi is standing before you. His black hair was messy, cheeks flushed.
"Levi? What are you do-" Before you can finish your sentence, his lips are on yours. He is kissing you with so much need that your head is spinning.
"Can't do it. Fuck, I tried. Can't. Need you." He is gasping between kisses, you tug at his bottom lip with your teeth.
Your legs wrap around his torso as he carries you back to your bed, your back hits the soft mattress and Levi climbs between your legs in no time.
He continues eagerly kissing you, tongue entering your mouth as soon as you make a sound. Your hands are around his neck, his fingers feel like feathers as they touch your thighs.
You moan when you feel his erection press against your clothed pussy. Levi rolls his hips in response, creating more friction. He pulls away from your lips, a string of saliva connecting you both but he continues to rut his hips into you.
"Levi.." Your hands grip his forearms, just the way he is looking at you could be enough to send you over the edge.
"Gonna let me take care of you?" Nodding your head, you pull him in for a kiss again. This one is passionate but slow, Levi is drinking you in, loving every second of it.
His kisses trail from your cheek to your neck in no time, leaving wet marks all over your skin. Once he finds that special spot, he bites making you grip on his shirt.
His hands wonder under your top, gently rubbing your belly. "Fuck let me take this off, baby." You lift your upper body slightly and the top comes off of you in one swift move.
Levi's eyes take a good look at your upper body, every curve measured. The candlelight beautifully illuminating your skin.
"What a lucky man I am. Come here." He lifts you up, sitting you on his lap as his lips suck and kiss on your breasts. You grab him by his hair, rolling your hips against him and he groans.
"Levi..." His name leaves your lips when he pulls on your nipple with his teeth, your moans making him more aroused.
He flips you on your back again, hands at your pants as he slowly pulls them down your legs, kissing your skin as he goes.
Once he sees that wet spot on your underwear, he smirks sloppily kissing your inner thighs until he reaches your cunt. Teeth sink into the fabric of your underwear as Levi takes them off with his mouth.
Shivering you lean your head back into your pillow. Levi is now eyeing your pussy, eyes hungry. He loves the way it's twitching for him.
"My good girl hmm? All this for me?" You nod, pulling his head down between your legs with your hands. Levi obligated, tongue entering you without warning.
"Oh-Fuck! All for you Lev'" Your back arches off the bed, hips rutting up against Levi's face. He slaps your cunt and you yelp. "Keep your hips in one place." His hands come to your hips, pressing them down into the mattress so that you can't buck them up anymore.
His tongue finds your pussy again, this time he finds your clit immediately, giving it teasing licks before lapping on it fully.
You're a complete lost cause, the pleasure too overwhelming. However, when he feels your high approaching, he pulls away, lips covered in your slick but hands still on your hips.
"Brat so soon? Have you missed me that much?" It's unfair, he is fully dressed while you're completely naked under him, a moaning mess.
He comes back up to your face kissing you again. The kiss is only broken when you feel two fingers enter you, making you throw your head to the side.
"Gonna cum.." You say almost breathless and Levi only continues fucking you with his fingers. "Cum for me." And you do on the spot, hips bucking against his fingers as that wave of pleasure runs through your body.
Gently, Levi pulls his fingers out, putting them in his mouth and licking them clean. Your faces are inches apart, mouth open wide at his actions.
It takes you a few seconds before you tug at his shirt, Levi puts his hands up so that you can take it off completely. Ahh, there it is, that perfect upper body of his that makes your mouth water.
Hands reach down to his belt, unlocking it. When Levi sees what your intention is, he moved your hand away.
"No, I need to fuck you now. Can't wait anymore." Nodding your head, you get yourself in a comfortable position as Levi undresses himself completely.
He lines himself up with your belly to see how deep he would go. "Fuck.... You'll feel me right here." And then he thrusts inside of you, throwing his head back with a moan. You try your best not to be too loud.
"So tight... Fuck." Levi's thrusting is slow at first, devouring the warm feeling of your walls. "Cunt is too good, so perfect." When those words leave his mouth and when he sees that you have adjusted to him, his thrust speeds up.
Grabbing your knees, he pushes them up to your chest and you feel his cock reach the deepest part of you, filling you completely.
You feel so full, the noises leaving your mouth are something you would be ashamed of if anyone happened to hear.
"Levi! Levi! Right there!" His cock hits your g spot. "Yeah? Here?" He slows a little, eyes filled with love as they look at your own.
It is all happening quickly but that's the way you both need it to take the frustration out of you.
Levi stops for a moment as he grabs a pillow, he puts it under your hips wasting no time to enter you again. You let out a loud moan, this angle is hitting every spot possible.
"Holy-Fuck! Levi!" At that Levi starts moving in a ruthless pace, fucking you into oblivion, this was nothing like the night in Marley. Levi was rough, he wanted to ruin you, he wanted to make you pay for making him fall in love with you.
"You're so-mmmh-deep!"
"Yeah?? Show me, baby." You take his hand and press it against the bludge in your navel. Levi smirks, slowing down his movements to enjoy the feeling of his cock deep inside of you.
"Mine." He thrusts hard. "Mine." He thrusts even harder. "You're mine." And again. Your pussy clenches around his cock and you feel your orgasm building up.
"Levi I'm gonna-"
"Do it baby, milk all over my cock." You moan loudly, hands gripping the sheets besides you as you come all over him. Levi gasps feeling his own high approaching.
"Where should I hmm?" Your legs only hug his hips in response and Levi cums just by that action, his warm seed filling you up.
"Oh shit, (name), (name)." Moaning your name, Levi slowly pulls out of you, watching as his cum drips out of your pussy.
He lays his head down onto your chest, both if your bodies sweaty from the intense love making. "I'm so sorry." He kisses the mark that he previously left on your neck. "Shh I know." Kissing his forehead, you smile into his hair.
You finally had him and he had you. It felt like the two of you didn't need anything besides each other.

You mentioned it, so I’ve come to deliver a request again lol. May I request a Levi x reader where they finish an expedition and it isn’t until a little while after they get back, the reader is listed on the MIA. Levi ignores Erwin’s orders to stay (he’s too valuable to loose) and leaves to find reader. The reader was trapped under rubble for days and believed she was going to die there until Levi comes to save her? Much fluff afterwards, if you’d like~ Thank you for writing these~!!
Back at it again with the beautiful prompts. I loveeeeee this one! Such a good idea. I love you and your mind <3 I really enjoyed writing it, I hope you enjoy reading it!
Word count: 3800 Tags: angst turned fluff, hurt-comfort, sfw, fem!reader
At last, you recognized: This was not at all a dream.
“Attention, please.”
He had heard these announcements countless times, Levi kept fixated on his meal. After so many, they were practically white noise. That is, until he heard your name listed as Missing In Action. Eyes widened in shock. She can’t be...
Erwin posted the roster on the wall, “Right. If you see any of these soldiers, please alert HQ immediately. Continue on.”
Continue on? You were missing, there was no way he could carry on as normal. He would not stay to finish his meal, in fact, he would not be staying at all tonight. Immediately, he returned his tray and returned to his quarters.
Externally, he was calm and collected, carefully switching from casual clothes back into uniform. Internally, he was angry and anxious, heart beat fast and mind raced over his upcoming solo expedition.
For the second time in 24 hours, he was getting into his uniform and preparing to venture outside the walls. It was more than just a pain in the ass, it was an extreme danger, but that was at the back of his mind. All annoyance was buried under concern for you. I have to get there. Now. Now. Now.
Before leaving his room, he pulled his hood up, hiding his all too recognizable undercut and bangs. He was going to sneak out and it had to be unnoticed. If anyone witnessed his departure, it would mean the end of his mission, the end of you.
At these late hours, most had retreated to their bunks for the night. He was immensely grateful for their rush to bed as he was attempting all but the opposite, fewer soldiers to catch his escape. Everything was smooth sailing thus far. He only needed to get to the stables and get on his horse.
I’m almost there.
Hold on.
I’m coming, -
A strong hand gripped his arm, “Levi, wait.”
// // //
Without seeing faces, the two immediately recognized each other, “Tch. Get off me, old man.” Levi shook his arm, forcing Erwin’s hand off his tricep.
Erwin kept calm and level, “Where do you think you are going?”
Levi snapped his gaze back to the commander, hood falling to his shoulders, “Going to do something I should have done hours ago, would have done hours ago, if not for the slow incompetence around here.” Clearly annoyed. Clearly frustrated.
Erwin raised an eyebrow. All his enraged rhetoric, the answer was lost in it. “And what is that exactly?”
Levi snarled, “Idiot. I’m going to get her.”
Firmly, “No, Levi. I can’t allow it. You and I both know that you’re far too valuable.”
“You and I both know she’s valuable too!” Shit. The longer this carries on… Levi was losing control of his voice, volume and intonation rising sharply. The entire barracks could overhear his devotion to the lost soldier, his devotion to you.
Erwin’s tone intensified, “We can’t afford to lose you.”
Levi matched his severity, “We can’t afford to lose her either.”
Levi’s breathing turned heavy, fully understanding the implications, on both himself and humanity, of what he was about to say, “You lose her, you lose me too.”
Erwin’s expression snapped into pure shock. He could convince any scout to charge to their death, yet now, he could not convince this one not to, “I see.”
Even though Erwin had held him back, argued with him, doubted him, Levi was still deeply touched by his sentiment.
He flicked his hood back above his head, “Erwin, trust me.”
// // //
The return back to that town felt both seconds and hours long. Ever since he heard you were lost, he had been rushing nonstop to find you. Still, each passing moment on this venture was another moment too long. How am I not there yet? The trips back and forth from yesterday felt nowhere near as far, the expedition nowhere near as important.
As he raced through the forest, his mind raced with thoughts. When was she last seen? When did I last interact with her? How long has she been gone? Has she run out of supplies?
Will I make it in time?
The smart and subtle strategy would be trotting through the trails, minimizing sound and commotion, and thus lessening attention. However, Levi could not help but race for you. Even if he had recognized the benefits of slowing down, his steed would not allow it. His dark horse was well-attuned to its owner. Without explicit instruction, it paced with his emotion. Their unspoken bond had saved them both countless times before, maybe one more person soon.
The only light he had was the crescent moon. Miraculously, no titan encounters. He made a mental note to report the coincidence upon returning. However, when he laid eyes on that flattened town, all thoughts were erased entirely.
Are you alive out there?
// // //
The sun had set, thus commencing your second night stuck here.
Immense hunger and desperate thirst. Monotonous boredom and helpless anxiety. From the waist down, your body was buried under a fallen house. A swipe from that titan’s arm had simultaneously knocked you unconscious and collapsed the building on top of you. At least, you assumed that was what happened.
Your memory had been melting away by the minute, losing count of the hours you had been here, losing count of how many times you had tried and failed to pull yourself out. Goddamn. Why am I so weak? You had tried screaming. You had tried praying. You had tried everything. The situation was easy to read. Your legs were numb, either broken or fallen asleep, you could not move them. If you could not move them, you could not get out. If you could not get out, you would not live.
When you first woke up from the impact, you maintained your optimism. Maybe someone would come find you. But now that the second night was underway, without any sign of help, hope was nearing its end.
No food, no water, no energy. If you fell asleep now, you may never wake up. Passing in your sleep, you could only hope your death would be that simple and painless. Far better than starvation, dehydration, or at the hands of the titans.
Still, you could not help but feel pity for yourself. If only that titan did not swipe near you, if only you had not been knocked out, if only someone had found you… Of course, enlisting in the Scout Regiment, you were prepared to face your own death, but you never expected to die in such a pathetic way: all alone, crushed under rubble, too weak to pull yourself out. Finally in the face of certain death, you broke down and wept yourself to sleep for the last time.
Why me?
// // //
Then, you saw the light. A distant golden glow, coming closer and closer.
For a few minutes, you truly believed you were on the other side, but as eyes adjusted to the brightness and sense of touch revived, you recognized this place as all too familiar. The crescent moon provided the faintest illumination, outlining the landscape and wreckage. Still stuck underneath this house, legs and body weak as ever. You could only wonder about that nearing orange light. What is that?
Ears perked up at the sound of horse clops. Maybe your steed had come back for you. Even then, how could you get the animal to help you, though? A manic chuckle. It was as if your fate had to play one last prank before letting you go. No, this situation was not dire enough. Here comes your helpless horse and a daunting orange light. This world is so cruel. A manic chuckle grew into an insane blend of laughter and tears.
That mysterious blaze began to call out to you, calling your name.
What you brushed off as a fading hallucination was actually your saving grace.
// // //
Shit. Where the hell is she?
The speed had gone from swift to sluggish in split seconds. Sensing his thoroughness, Levi’s horse instinctively slowed down, allowing him time to examine every square inch. He tugged down his hood to expand his peripheral vision. With only his lantern and a sliver of moonlight, this search would take a while. Each collapsed house, each blood splatter, each sprawled piece of equipment only enforced his fear.
There was no time. He had to get back before the sun came out. In all this darkness, he would have to rely on his other senses too. Drifting his lantern side to side, here and there, he began calling your name.
More houses. More hollers.
No answer.
Sudden memories of his first expedition to this town. Like most missions, it ended in a hasty retreat and a failed objective. Too many titans, not enough soldiers.
More rubble. More cries.
No answer.
This solo venture was grimmer and grimmer each passing minute. He had every reason to believe you had been left for dead, but something within him would not accept it. He had to keep looking.
More scans. More screams.
No answer.
His voice became involuntarily frantic. Volume rose as high as it could, “Hey! Where are you!? Are you out there!?” He realized, he had never shouted like this before. His own voice nearly unrecognizable.
Eyes and mouth doing no good, he had to at last rely on his ears. Pulling on the reins, he halted his horse and thus halted the clops. Dead silence worried him until his ears adjusted. A creek nearby, wind whistling in the trees, and… her voice?
A few meters ahead, a blood-curdling banshee-like hysteria. A shrieking that would have scared most away, he dismounted his horse and sprinted towards it.
// // //
It was you.
He had found you at last, but you were barely recognizable. He knelt down to the ground and examined your state. Hot tears gushed down your face. Mouth twitched back and forth between a smile and a frown. Face was smudged with both dirt and blood.
In all he had experienced, he had never seen something like this before. This heap was so large, he was astounded you were alive. “Hey! Are you alright?”
“Captain Levi? Is that you?” Your throat was so dry, he could barely hear you.
“It’s me. It’s me.” He gripped your hand, “You’re stuck, right? Let’s get you out.”
“I’m - I’m so tired, Levi…” Your gaze slowly drifted from his.
“Hey, come on. Stay with me.” Two gentle slaps, keeping you conscious.
“I don’t think I can…” When he began moving panels, you choked on the dust, “I don’t think I can make it.”
“No, you’re fine. It’s not that bad.” Truthfully, he had no idea how bad it was. Your lower body was completely buried under brick and mortar. There was no way to tell, but there was also no way he was giving up.
As you closed your eyes once again, he grit his teeth. The time constraint was no longer returning before sunrise, it was pulling you out before you… before you…
He found a block of concrete that was just a foot high. If he could stick it between those two panels that sandwiched you, he could rotate it up and thus push the panes apart. It was the best shot he had, the only shot he had.
It was heavy as all hell, but that insane rush of adrenaline made it light as a feather. He lugged the block beside you, “I’m getting you out of here.”
A few deep grunts, some strains of struggle, an exasperated expression, that block had been stood up between your wooden walls. With him here to help, it just might be enough.
With you propped on your stomach, arms stretched out in front of you, he grabbed hold of your wrists, “Can you feel your legs?”
You could only shake your head.
Dammit. Without your pushing off, this stance would not have the leverage. He moved closer to you, looping the insides of his elbows underneath your shoulders. Your face pressed against his chest. His feet pressed against the rubble, “You ready? I’m pulling you out... now!”
His body under yours, you were protected from sharp rocks and splinters. You felt he might rip your arms off, but somehow, you did not care. If the rescue failed, you had already accepted your fate.
He easily picked up your indifference, “Come on, you! Don’t even think about giving up!” Levi continued pulling you towards him, laboring relentlessly to get you out.
And suddenly, your entire attitude changed. His clenched teeth, squinted eyes, flexed muscles, protruding veins…clearly he cared about you. Giving up now, not only was it a blatant disrespect of his efforts, but you realized: this loss would affect him too, forever.
With that, you looped your hands around the back of his neck and pulled. At last, you were trying to save yourself. At last, there was hope. You wanted to live and refused to die, “I’m almost there, Levi!”
The two of you were straining unlike ever before, both grunting and screaming to get you out from under that heap. Multiple attempts all fruitless. Levi peeked an eye open to meet your desperate gaze. And just as his efforts had inspired you, your expression encouraged him. This beautiful courageous soldier in front of him, failure was not an option. A final powerful rip, one last breathless cry -
And you were out.
// // //
Out from under and out cold, that last pull had drained you completely. With his forearms wrapped around your back, for the first time all night, Levi finally allowed himself a moment to breathe. Your warm and tired body atop his, your heartbeat and breathing across his front, the stars and moon of the night sky… he thought he could stay like this forever.
Now that you were safe in his arms, his hours-long adrenaline rush finally started to dwindle. He thought over how improbable everything was. Neither of you encountered any titans. He found you in time. You had lived so long without food or water. The collapse avoided your vital organs. That perfect block of concrete squeezed between the pillars. All the miracles required for your rescue had happened in succession.
It was the first time anything had gone right for him in his life. With you sound asleep, he bit down on the back of his wrist, attempting to silence his uncontainable sobs of relief.
He pet the back of your head and whispered in your ear, “Thank you.”
// // //
He allowed himself only a few more moments of this feeling. As relaxing as this was, it could be even more so. Instead of this demolished town, he should get you two back home to safety.
Levi pushed you up off of him, just long enough to flip his position. Your limp body against his back, he draped your arms around his neck and lifted you by the back of your knees. A couple bounces to ensure your security before commencing the piggyback ride.
A slight smirk at your light weight, the deep sleepy moans falling upon his ears…. even after such a dire situation and in the pitch-black night, you were unconsciously bringing him back from panic, She’s so cute.
Reunited with his black steed, he lifted you onto the saddle. With one hand keeping you upright, he used the other to pull himself up to your front. Some improvised futzing with strings, he was able to anchor you to himself. Even then, he looped your arms over his shoulder for good measure. After all this, he had become hyper-aware. After all this, he would not lose you now.
Let’s get you home.
// // //
Once again, you woke up to a bright orange light. You looked above to the light purple sky with a growing amber orb. Sunrise.
Yet, you were still on horseback with Levi, still not back to base. You took a 360 scan. In the distance… far back… a giant figure…
Sleepy grog wore away. You realized, this thudding you heard was not only the horse’s hurried escape, it was also the footsteps of a rapidly approaching titan. Eyes focused on your captain to find him leaning forward, whipping the reins hurriedly.
“L-Levi!” Your voice a hoarse whisper, “There’s a…! There’s a…!”
His gaze snapped behind him. The panic in your eyes, that goddamn nearing titan… Shit!
You were out in the open, only a handful of trees for maneuvering. Still, he anchored off of his horse and onto some sturdy branches. He yelled back to you, “Keep going!”
You cried out to him, “Wh – What do you mean!?”
Meters away, your eyes still met. “Go on without me!”
Indeed, the distance between you and the titan was increasing while the distance between him and the titan was decreasing. The fast abnormal noticed and changed his direction towards him.
In a panicked slow motion, you watched that titan swipe at him and watched him grapple away. This whole venture had been all about you and at his great expense. Still, no matter how much you hated yourself for it, you had to look away. Selfish or subordinate, you obeyed his orders and galloped towards the walls.
// // //
Your entire being, drenched in warmth. Again you began to wonder if you had gone to the other side.
You felt around you, movement slowed by a familiar friction. Eyes fluttered open to see Levi hovering above you, backlit by a bright white light. Dark bangs were highlighted to a near brown. Light skin shined in the sun. Blue irises sparkled at multiple points. He looked so angelic, you concluded you must be in heaven.
A soft whisper, “So, you’re back?”
“L – Levi?” You reached a hand to his face. It really was him, “Where are we?”
He reached a hand to yours, keeping your palm on his cheek, “We’re home.”
Home as in…? “Are we dead?”
“No! We’re alive, at base, in my suite. Specifically, my tub.”
You looked down from him to your body. You were in his warm bath, stark naked, covered only by white bubbles. Instantaneously, nerves awakened to stinging all over. You clenched your teeth and winced.
Levi grimaced at your pain, Poor thing… “It looks like your legs are broken, you caught a few cuts and bruises, but you should be thankful it’s just that.”
Was this from the building collapse? The titan? Wait...
“Levi! Did we… did you… that titan…” He already understood what you were getting at. He was hoping you would have forgotten, hoping you would not ask.
“Did we… get chased by a titan?”
Levi maintained his flat stare, internally parsing over how to answer. The guilt in your eyes was overwhelming. The last thing you needed now was to feel bad about yourself. Honesty was his policy but so was intuitive decision-making. Now, what you needed was not a sense of blame, but unconditional love.
A gentle hand under your chin tilted your gaze to his. His best acting skills on display upheld his flat expression, “No. Nothing happened.”
You clutched his wrist with a shaky hand, “Levi… really?”
It took all of his might. His lip needed to quiver, but he needed to stay strong for you, “Must have been a bad dream.”
He had put on his best convincing, but you were also a compassionate soldier who effortlessly and entirely understood those around you. In a mutual understanding, you met each other’s eyes. You had a feeling you would never coerce it out of him, but you had a feeling you knew the truth.
It was an uncertainty you could live with, he deserved to have things go his way for once. Letting his answer slide without any further questioning, it was the least you could do for him. “Thank you, Levi.”
// // //
After his gentle scrub down, he had dressed you in his clothes: boxer shorts and a white tee. After all, you only had your dirty uniform, it was unsuitable for sleep, especially in his bed. An excuse to keep the sheets pristine. An excuse to see you in this adorable outfit.
Wordlessly, it was clear: you two were both entirely exhausted. He invited you to his bed. There was no way you could refuse him, his desires, or your own.
Fatigued as you were, there was one last thing you needed before sleep, “Levi…”
“Huh?”
“There’s something I don’t understand.”
He draped his arm around your back, tugging you closer to him, “Spit it out, brat.”
You turned on your side, facing him, “Why did you come for me?”
Levi stared into your eyes. The honest truth, “I didn’t have a choice.”
Didn’t have a choice? “Did Erwin order you too?”
He choked down a chuckle, Quite the contrary. He caressed your cheek with his hand, “You’re thinking too hard.”
When it became clear that you did not pick up his point, he knew that words would do no good. He had to explain another way. Levi thumbed the hair out of your face. With his fingers at the back of your neck, he tugged you towards his lips. Less than an inch apart, he kept you there for a moment. A second or an eternity, the two of you gazed at each other. You took in his cool calm and collected compassion. He took in your immaculate glow and cute curiosity. The idea of this angel trapped under rubble, left to die alone, an impending whimper could only be stopped one way.
Levi pulled you towards him that last bit and kissed you. Tenderly as he could. Your lips started softly, but his composure had all but wavered after such an exhausting day. He was so in love with you, he could not hold himself back. When you kissed him back, it was the last push he could handle. A calloused hand tangled itself in your hair. A strong arm pulled you towards him, a brief throwback to the struggle back then. You both wanted to forget it, only wanted to get lost in the arms of each other, in the thought of here and now. His affection all but screamed.
It’s because I love you.

I Want My Kids to Have Your Eyes
Levi x Reader (fluff, sfw)
what a bold thing to say to your captain.

Moonlight hung over the hill like a comforting blanket as you both reclined an arm’s length apart on the soft grass beneath, bodies sinking into the earth. The day had been relentless, a gruelling mission that tested every ounce of strength. Now, in the quiet aftermath, you two found solace gazing upward at the summit’s view, shimmering like scattered diamonds against the canvas of the night sky.
The shared stillness remained comfortable, before you posed a soft interruption to the quietude, "Captain, do you ever think about your future?"
Levi's eyes briefly left the constellations above, attention shifting to you. "Yes, it usually ranges from the next second to the next few months. Which area of land outside the walls to explore, how defensive operations should alter for the next month, which day certain intelligen-”
“Captain-” You interrupted, then hesitated, the vulnerability of the topic making your heart race. "I meant a peaceful future, like having a family, kids?"
Levi's brow furrowed slightly. The thought of it was unfamiliar, impossible. "In this war? That’s far-fetched," he remarked, gaze returning to the stars.
A subtle smile grew on your lips as scenarios played at the back of your mind. "I know, of course, but don’t you ever imagine it? A life after the war, a future where Titans are just stories we tell our children." Levi's expression softened, a fleeting hint of wistfulness in his eyes.
"Like sometimes I think if I had children, I’d take them to play by the oceans, make adorable lunch sets," you continued, "how beautiful they would look if they had your eyes…" Embarrassment started flushing up as you realised you rambled on way too far.
His eyes widened imperceptibly, caught completely off guard by your comment.
"WAIT, that didn’t come out right. I didn’t mean having them with YOU, of course... definitely not…" You trailed off, a splash of pink painfully obvious on your cheeks. Get yourself together y/n, what on earth are you saying to your captain?
“Ouch.” A flicker of disappointment crossed his features. Levi cleared his throat, seemingly caught in the unexpected turn of the conversation. "Well aren’t you very in objection to that idea." he snickered, hiding a trace of sorrow beneath his face.
“Nevermind, I’m sorry, please forget what I said." You apologised in the tense atmosphere.
But Levi didn't dismiss it. Instead, his mind seemingly remained lost in contemplation. "How will your children have my eyes, if they don't have my genetics?" Determined to disprove your faulty reasoning.
You chuckled nervously, "I just mean I hope they’ll be a pretty colour, and delicate shape, like yours."
Levi displayed a rare vulnerability in his expression. He had never given thought to the aesthetic of his eyes; they were simply a part of him, a feature he never considered noteworthy. This was the first time he had received a compliment about them, and it left him momentarily speechless.
"At this rate, my most optimistic guesstimate is that I’ll be slaying titans till I’m 60." You broke the awkwardness joking, "in that case I might not be able to have kids, doubt any man would still take my crinkled self on a date anyway."
"Why not?" Levi replied seriously, his voice a soft echo in the tranquil night. "I won't be even a tiny bit surprised if you're still this beautiful at 85."
A blood-bathed blush adorned your complexion, stomach filling with butterflies and warmth, brain connections zapping around - wondering if he really thought that way, or,
“you’re just saying that.”
Levi sighed, “in all your years of knowing me, when have I ever felt obliged to tell a white lie, Comrade?”
"Right…” You muttered, with all sorts of thoughts doing laps beneath your skull, trying to continue the conversation as level-headed as possible. “Perhaps I'll meet my first love at 99,” a giggle escaping your breath as you joked.
Unexpectedly, Levi's response carried a weight that belied the casual banter. "Well. I think people can be in love without being in a formal relationship. You could easily have your first love now."
Your gaze laid upon his side profile, slightly puzzled by his logic, "but how can you be in love with someone without holding hands, saying mushy things, and all that?"
His head turned towards you, a moment of silence filling the air with eyes drilling into yours, revealing a sincerity that tugged at your heart. "I definitely can."

Mistletoe - Armin Arlert AU
Summary : The whole friend group has a Christmas party to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year…who knew at this party, you’d also have the most wonderful kiss of the year with your best friend?
Notes : sorry everyone I DISAPPEARED for like…a month? Literally no creative energy flowing through me BUT i did want to make a short Armin AU fic because i love Armin and quite honestly would love to kiss him under the mistletoe too. Remember you can send requests to me!! Enjoy!! ❤️💚
—————
You were consumed by Christmas lights, loud music, and spiked eggnog as you were dancing your way throughout Eren and Mikasa’s house for their annual Christmas party. Ever since they got engaged and moved in together, the Holiday parties were hosted at theirs because it was most convenient for all the friends to fit under one roof. Everyone loved coming to their house for a party, because they were also conveniently the most festive hosts. They always had enough food, alcohol, and holiday spirit for twice the amount of people who came.
Your eyes scanned the room as you were trying to locate your best friend, Armin. You, Armin, Eren, and Mikasa have been a friend group since before you could remember. It was never awkward tagging along with Eren and Mikasa, because you had Armin. And not in the romantic sense, unfortunately, but it never ever felt like you were third wheeling because Armin made sure you had additional company too.
“Where could he possibly be?” You grumbled, turning the corner into the kitchen and finally spotting his bright blonde head of hair. Next to him, his long time crush Annie stood giggling and holding her drink in one hand, while twirling her hair in another. You rolled your eyes and decided maybe, it wasn’t a good idea to intervene whatever moment they might be having.
But, Armin spotted you before you could turn away, “Y/N!” You could hear the alcohol slipping off his tongue, and it made you softly smile because Armin rarely drank or allowed himself to have fun, “come over here!”
You didn’t want to, but you knew Armin would be upset if you didn’t, so you awkwardly made your way over to him and Annie. Annie smiled widely as you approached, not upset by the halt in their private conversation, which eased a weight off your shoulders.
“My girl,” Armin smiled as he threw an arm over your shoulder and pulled you close to him, “I feel like I haven’t seen you at all tonight!”
You chuckled as you tried to release his hold, but half his body weight was now on you, so you just let him have this moment of contact, “hey Armin, is Annie over here just letting you pound drinks one after another?”
Armin and Annie both laughed, and you softly groaned because that wasn’t you trying to be funny, you were just trying to tease them.
“I’ve been a good boy!” Armin protested, burping mid sentence, “I’ve only had about four beers…”
Annie interrupted, “and you’re on your second spiked eggnog now!”
Armin gasped, “Annie! You weren’t supposed to expose me like that!”
His grip around you tightened, and you couldn’t tell if it was from the alcohol, or his nerves. You supported him as best as you could, noticing his cheeks were turning a light pink. Definitely because Annie made him nervous, and a small piece of you wished it was you making him blush like that.
You loved Armin, and never wanted to cross any boundaries. He’s liked Annie ever since he realized what romantic feelings were, so you pushed any minor ones you had for him away, just wanting your friend to be happy. It was the least he deserved, after girls seemed to repeatedly reject him left and right. You never understood, because Armin was handsome in the innocent and royal type of way. He reminded you of a soft prince, who would never do anyone wrong. Not on purpose, at least. He never ever did you wrong.
Annie’s gaze diverted and her eyes widened, your head turning to see what, or who, she was looking at.
“It’s Reiner! I’m gonna go catch up with him,” now her cheeks were a light shade of pink, “I’ll see you guys later?”
You nodded sadly for your friend, but then realized he didn’t seem all too badly concerned by Annie leaving his side for Reiner’s attention. “Absolutely!” He said, a big smile beaming on his face, “talk to you later Annie!”
As Annie walked away, you nudged Armin with your shoulder, “you idiot! Why’d you let her walk off like that?”
Armin smiled lightly, looking down at you, “I wanna spend time with my girl who makes me feel like I’m always at the sea.”
You couldn’t help but roll your eyes at the cringey, yet sweet, compliment he gave you. It was effortless with him, but you never took anything from it because it’s how you and Armin have always been. Flirty, but strictly platonic.
“Alright you drunk boy,” you started to lead Armin out of the kitchen and towards the living room so you could rejoin your group of friends, “let’s go see where Eren and Mikasa are.”
Armin followed your lead but gasped loudly once you got into the hallway that leads into the living space. You had no idea why he gasped, and then abruptly stopped, until your gaze followed his towards the ceiling.
And hanging right down from it, was mistletoe. Of course Eren and Mikasa had mistletoe in their house. And of course, you and Armin were now under it.
“Y/N!” He exclaimed, “look! We have to!”
“Armin,” you started, allowing him to move so he was standing in front of you. He placed his hands by your waist, and the shift of energy in the room caught you by surprise once his hands touched a part of your body they never have before.
“Pleeeeaase Y/N? It’s just an innocent kiss! I’m drunk, make a drunk man happy!” He was practically begging now, and you sighed. You knew he meant it not in the way you would, but you just had to bury those feelings deep down again to make him happy, even if it makes you hurt on the inside. Like he said, you just wanted to make drunk, and later sober, Armin happy.
“Fine!” You caved, “but just one quick peck. Don’t want people to think I’m dating you!”
Armin smiled from ear to ear, and he quickly connected your lips with no hesitation. It was sudden, and you expected him to just pull right back after they came together for that second, but then he pulled your waist closer to his. He trailed one hand up your back as the other stayed placed on your hips, until his hand was in your hair and your lips were parting slightly for more. Your hands flew to wrap around his neck, as you felt his tongue swipe your teeth. You slowly opened your mouth more, allowing his tongue to start wrestling yours. Breaths were heavier now. Hearts were racing faster. You could have sworn you heard a soft whimper once you pulled away for some air, unable to contain yourself.
Armin continued to look down at you, until he went back in, this time only placing a quick peck to your lips before pulling away again.
“You,” Armin started, “are the sea. I could get lost swimming in you. Why haven’t you let me do that before?”
“I-I,” you were so flustered. You had no idea Armin could possibly feel the same way towards you. And to compare you to his favorite place, the sea?! “I just…I thought you wanted Annie for the longest time. We’re just friends, or I thought that’s all you wanted to be.”
Armin softly smiled as he brushed your cheek with his hand, tucking some hair behind your ear. It felt surreal how just a few minutes could change an entire dynamic, one that was in place for so long. But, this was a nice shift. One you have been waiting quite some time for.
“Yes, you’re my best friend,” Armin started, “but I have wanted to kiss my best friend for a little while now too.”
You chuckled softly and gave Armin a playful shove, as he grabbed your wrists and pulled you close to him again.
“Hey, Y/N and Arm-“ you heard someone, Eren, start to say as they turned into the hallway. Your eyes widened as you locked eyes with him, and he definitely understood what was happening before him.
“Oh, finally! Thank God for mistletoe!” Eren shrieked, turning back around, “Mikasa! They finally kissed!”
You and Armin started bursting out laughing from your friend’s reaction, your eyes meeting his, and his lips already coming down for another romantic kiss under the mistletoe.
It was a very Merry Christmas indeed.

Much has already been said in the past five years leading up to and during the war, but Levi still has one last thing to say.
And finally, after all this time of hiding and fighting, he can live out the truth in his heart and speak his mind.

Thick dust rained down from the desolate sky like a heavy fog, settling upon the land and filling every creator marring the ground formed by the rumbling. Chunks of bone and rock littered nearly every inch of land for miles around, a bloody testament of the war now behind them.
For a moment, all was silent as the air began to clear. Slowly but surely, you could make out other forms lining the battlefield near you. Comrade, foe, titan carcass…You couldn’t be sure which was which.
You gripped the handles of your odmg tightly, ready to jolt back into action should the need arise. But as your vision cleared, and you noticed everyone present appeared just as dazed as you felt, you began to loosen your grip.
Doing a quick headcount, you were relieved to see Reiner and Gabi not far from you. Just behind you, you caught sight of Armin slowly standing from the rubble of his titan, dusting the debris from his hair and clothing.
You sheathed the handles of your gear back into your belt and attempted to become oriented once more with your surroundings.
Your hands and face were coated with a fine lair of dirt, and you suddenly remembered hitting the ground rather harshly as the colossal titan’s forms collapsed in front of you. How long you had lost consciousness for, you couldn’t be certain. But regardless, you thanked whoever may be listening in for your survival.
The ringing in your ears started to subside enough to hear a sudden groan off to your right by several yards. Spinning in that direction, a gasp caught in your throat and tears stung your eyes at the new sight before you.
There just before you laid Connie and Jean; fully human and fully alive.
Barely able to contain your relief, you nearly fell to your knees then and there, had a sudden thought not stopped you from moving.
They’re alive…My friends…Levi…
Panic closed off your airway, causing your mind to race frantically. Searing your immediate surroundings, you came up empty handed. He wasn’t here with the others…
You choked down a sob and forced your legs to move. One step at a time, you began your search in a hazy panic. Every heap upon the ground could be him, you reasoned grievously, so you checked every boulder and every heap of bones for any sign of your Captain. Though your legs aches and your chest burned, you couldn’t give up now. Not after everything.
Even around five minuets, when you were on the verge of a breakdown, your head spun with possibilities of Levi’s fate. Thinking the worst, your heart raced faster than it even had beat during the battle you fought only minuets before. And it wasn’t until a shuffle of movement caught the corner of your eye a moment later did you dare hope against all odds.
Rushing hastily towards the movement, you attempted to wipe away the tears now running down your face. Seeing the familiar straps of odmg, you finally loosed the sob building up in the back of your throat and raced forward. For there he sat; back rested against a pile rubble and staring off into the distance.
Hearing your cry, Levi’s gaze shot over to your quickly approaching form, recognition and relief immediately flooding his eyes.
“Y/N,” he rasped out, trying to turn towards you. But with the state he was in, he could hardly manage the motion.
Sliding to your knees before him, you cried out in relieved anguish. “Levi!”
His arms accepted your embrace before you even had time to register you’d thrown yourself into them. You gripped onto his shoulders as though your life depended on it and wept ugly tears against his chest, and he held you back just as tightly.
Minding his leg, you sat back onto your heels in front of him and attempted to clear your vision to fully take him in. He looked awful; battle worn and exhausted. But even still, seeing him now, you’d never seen a more beautiful sight.
“Oh, Levi…I found you…” You sniffled, a watery smile on your face. You leaned forward onto your knees to reach forward and move the stray hairs from his forehead. Levi leaned into your feather light touch, closing his eyes for a moment and sighing deeply.
“I’m so glad you’re here,” he whispered, peering up at you with half lidded eyes after a moment. “You have no idea….I couldn’t….I can’t….”
“Shh,” you shushed him, wrapping your arms back around him tightly. “I’m here. You’re here. We survived.”
Content with your reassurance, he rested his forehead against your shoulder and allowed his arms to wrap back around you. You’d never seen him so vulnerable and open before; even after the thunder spear explosion incident. But right now, you’d happily accept it and enjoy the way he held you so tightly against him.
“It’s over now. We don’t have to fight anymore. We can live, and be free,” you whispered soothingly to him, your voice still shaking with emotions barely contained. You felt him prepare to reply to your statement, but his voice never reached your ears. Confused, you pulled back slightly to see his face, only to feel him tense up and pull you closer to his chest. You couldn’t see his face from this position, so instead of observing what he might be thinking, you decided to just ask.
“What is it?” You whispered against his shoulder.
“You’re right…We can.” He murmured, his voice muffled by your messy hair falling out of its band.
“We can be free. I can be free…with you.”
Again you tried to pull back to see his face, but he held you still against his chest.
“Y/N…I’ve done what I set out to do. I saw through the last command I was given. I…I don’t have to push everything else aside anymore.”
Hearing him mutter on under his breath, you were starting to wonder if he had a concussion. But when he suddenly pulled you back to look at him, the tears shining in his eyes were unmistakable.
“Levi…What do you mean?” you asked slowly, searching his face for any indication as to where he was leading this.
“Come on, L/N; you’ve always been one of my smartest cadets. You know what I’m talking about; you can’t have been blind all these years.” He scoffed, turning his gaze away momentarily. “Even if I did try to hide it.”
Memories of soft glances and suppressed emotions flooded your mind, causing an unbidden grin to fight for control over your face. Nestling your forehead against his collar bone, you couldn’t help but for a soft chuckle to escape you.
“Took you long enough. It took the near ending of the world for you to hint at your emotions to me.”
Pulling back, you gave him a loving smile. “Of course I knew. You did, too. And even if right now you won’t ask it, I think you already know my answer to your question.”
For the first time in months, you watched as his gaze softened as he looked down at you. His scared hand came up to cup the side of your face, his lips curling up ever so slightly into a smile.
“Bold of you to assume I wouldn’t ask. But given my reputation, that’s fair. I’ve waited long enough now. I’ve made you wait long enough now.”
You felt your heart pounding in your chest once more; this time from the adrenaline of joy rather than fear. What you’d secretly longed for, all these years later coming to fruition. Glancing down at the bandages covering half of his face, you brought a hand up and brushed them aside along his chin.
“That you have, Captain. Are you going to make me wait for you to ask?”
“I couldn’t be so cruel to you.” He huffed, yet a more prominent smile adorned his scarred lips. “So I won’t; will you stay with me, Y/N? Will you figure out this new life of freedom with me at my side?”
Tears stung your eyes and you found yourself at a loss for words, despite all the things you longed to say in reply. Instead, you merely nodded, biting back a teary grin.
“I will. I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. I never have.”
Now, for the first time ever, you saw Levi smile. Actually, fully smile. And oh, how you’d longed to see such a sight. “Good, you’re the only one I’d want to tolerate after all this, anyways.”
You started to snicker at his typical Levi style reply, but the way he leaned in towards you ever so slightly made the humor die off immediately. You watched as his gaze flickered between your parted lips to your eyes; a silent ask of consent. But after all this time, how could you satisfy him with a verbal response?
Before he could close the gap between the two of you, you leaned in and beat him to it. He stiffened in surprise, but that hardly lasted a moment as his eyes closed and his arms tightened around your shoulders to bring you even closer.
The jolt of pleasant electricity sparking through your heart the moment his lips finally touched yours, you knew he felt it too. The briefest of contact from his gentle kiss was enough to send your heart into a flurry, and you couldn’t help but smile softly against his lips.
Finally. After so long.
Breaking apart, he drew in a deep a sigh. Giving you a loving smile, he gestured with a jut of his chin to a sight behind just behind you. Turning, your eyes clouded over once more with tears.
“Even after death, they can’t give us any privacy.” Levi chuckled.
There before the two of you stood the mirage of your fallen comrades, all smiling and saluting the two of you fondly. You both returned the salute, tears falling down both of your cheeks.
“They can rest now. And so can we.” Levi whispered, breaking his salute to pull you in once more.
════════════════════════════════════════
Three years.
It had taken three years to afford the house you now resided in, and for the peace of the new normal your life had taken on to finally sink in.
Wrapped in a thin blanket, you hugged the cloth tighter to your figure and took a seat on your porch with a relieved sigh. Crisp autumn breezes blew piles of colorful leaves across your yard, causing a slight shiver to run through you.
At one time or another, it might have chilled you slightly. But now, you had much more than a simple fabric to warm you up.
A strong arm wrapped around your shoulder, bringing your head into contact with the person’s chest. Such contact from your lover was second nature for you to lean into, closing your eyes in bliss.
Levi relaxed back into his wheelchair, keeping a steady grip on your shoulders as he leaned you in.
“Just how long have you been out here, Levi?” you asked softly against the fabric of his coat.
“Long enough to miss you,” he replied softly, and you could hear the small smile on his tone.
“So cheesy,” you chuckled, nuzzling against his collarbone. But really, you never minded. His words and soft touches would always warm you faster than any blanket ever could.
“Took you long enough to join me. I’d started to wonder if you’d forget me out here,” Levi mused on in absentminded amusement.
“How could I? If you truly thought I’d forget your presence, you wouldn’t have slipped this beautiful ring onto my finger,” you replied, playfully nudging his chin with the top of your head. You looked down to your hand clutching one corner of the blanket; admiring the band of metal laying neatly against your skin.
Levi took your hand in his disheveled one, first rubbing his thumb across the band before lifting your knuckles to his face and planing a soft kiss there.
“I suppose you’re right. How could I question the best thing that’s ever happened to me?”
Smiling fondly up at him, you placed a loving kiss upon his slightly parted lips, prolonging the contact a moment longer than necessary to enjoy the way he so eagerly returned your affection.
“I love you,” you whispered against his still parted lips.
“And I love you more, Y/N.”

You are everything, you are enough - Eren Yeager
Summary : You are pushed too hard during training one session and boyfriend!Eren reassures you afterwards that you are everything, and you are enough. Both as a soldier, and a person.
Notes : Eren fic to switch it up!! This one is much shorter because I still wanted to post something for y’all…but the ideas are definitely stuck somewhere not in my mind so if anyone has any requests please send them my way!! It can be Marvel, AOT, AU, relevant to the show/movie, anything!! 💙 enjoy :)
—————
You were 99% certain you were about to faint if Levi and Erwin kept pushing you the way they were. You understood that ever since you all found out the real truth about the titans there is a mainland to fight, but you did not understand why you out of everyone was being pushed to their absolute limits.
“Y/N! You need to be faster, because right now all I see is complete fucking laziness!” Levi yelled in your face, and you looked up to him, eyes angry and sweat dripping down your face. You were being fast, you were not being lazy. You were also just fucking exhausted from training over 6 hours without a meal in your system to assist your energy levels. So God forbid that make you a little slower than normal.
Levi glared back at you, but then eased off once he realized the look on your face. You were trying, but you were also tired. Even he could see that, and needed to acknowledge it.
He sighed, “you’re done for the day, get out of my face, brat.”
You stood up tall, waving him off with a, “gladly, Captain,” and walked off, hurrying to get into the comfort of some leggings and a sweatshirt and a big bowl of soup to the face after today.
Eren, Mikasa, and Armin watched as you stormed off, and Levi looked in the direction of his other most strong and respected soldiers.
“I don’t understand why they keep pushing her the way they do,” Armin spoke up, from the bottom of his heart. He worried about you like a brother, and that hasn’t gone away since you’ve all gotten older and gone through more traumatic times side by side.
“She’s strong, she can handle it,” Mikasa was certain.
Eren shook his head, dropping his ODM gear, “just because she’s strong, doesn’t mean she doesn’t deserve a break. I’m gonna go check in on her.”
He was trailing behind you, but no one could have stopped you from the mission of you falling into the comfort of your own space. Eren knew that, so he kept his distance, but was close behind. As soon as you reached your room, tears started to slowly fall down your face. You were in pain as you slowly started lifting your shirt off, small knocks at the door startling you.
“Come in,” you softly spoke, because you were also 99% certain who was at the door.
Your heart became less heavy as Eren opened the door, quietly closing it behind him. He watched as your expression went from sad, to thankful, to safe all within 5 seconds. It wasn’t long until he was rushing over to you, so you could collapse into his arms. You didn’t mean to go from delicately crying to full on sobbing as soon as you reached him, but he was your only safe place to do so with. You had to stay strong, collected in front of everyone else. Ever since you and Eren started dating two years ago, you were allowed to be vulnerable and a complete mess with him if needed.
He held on to you, stroking your hair and whispering sweet nothings in your ear until you were able to control your breathing again. He kissed your forehead and cheeks, waiting until his kisses went from wet to dry.
You looked up at him, his eyes letting you know it was okay to confide in him, even with the darkest of thoughts.
“I don’t think I can do this anymore,” you started.
Eren shook his head, “sweet girl, talk to me. I need more than that.”
“I’m too exhausted, I’m too worn out. Being Levi Squad’s strongest soldiers comes with a burden to bare and to present at all times, no matter the cost,” you almost started crying again at the next sentence, “at this point, I wish a titan would take me out so I could finally just rest.”
Eren was a master at not reacting right away. Even if the words you were saying sliced a gash in his heart, his facial expression’s would never show that. This was about you, not him. And right now, his mission was to help you, not him.
“Listen to me,” he spoke clearly, “if a titan was to suddenly take you out, how would that make me feel? Mikasa, and Armin? Sasha, and Jean? Damn it, even Levi,” okay, now maybe he was getting a little worked up, “we all love you so much, and although we see and expect the best from you sometimes, that does not mean you owe it to us. You owe it to yourself to take a breather, to tell Levi no, to put yourself first and take a day off it that means helping your mental well-being.”
You tried to speak up, but he wasn’t finished.
“We would all not be here if it wasn’t for you. You give us peace by existing and fighting alongside us, and we don’t take that for granted. I do not take that for granted.”
A small smile started to form on your face, reassuring to Eren that what he was saying was helping you, even in the slightest way.
“Why does it feel like I’m just not doing enough?” The smile slowly faded as your thoughts won over your mind again.
Eren moved so you both were sitting on your bed, his arms on your shoulders as he forced your eyes to look into his, “Y/N, you are everything, and you are enough. You are allowed to have one bad day after many good days of loving, fighting, and surviving. Levi and Erwin may push you hard, but it’s because they know you’re worth it. On and off the field, you are worth everything. You got that?”
The smile was back on your face, and you slowly nodded your head. You don’t know how he did it, but Eren always knew what to say at the right moment. It meant everything to you.
“I love you so much,” you whispered, resting your forehead on his, “I don’t know what I would do without you.”
“I love you,” he whispered back, “I don’t plan on going anywhere, not until I take my last breath. We are going to get through this, together.”
He planted a small kiss to your lips and allowed you to finally change into those comfy clothes, gripping your hand as you both walked to the kitchen to make big bowls of soup, Eren never once not reminding you that you will always and forever be enough. As a soldier, and as a person.

I Can See You (Levi’s Version)
Summary : Levi Ackerman based on a Taylor Swift song…need I say more?
Warnings : war, blood, getting bit by a titan (rude 😡), other than that lots of fluff and realization of feelings ahhh
Notes : hi everyone!! I got more love than I expected on my first Levi fic…time for another one ;) I had this idea a few days ago in the shower LOL and had to bring it to life. I really hope you enjoy! I apologize in advance because I got a bit carried away…whoops 💜
—————
You brush past me in the hallway
And you don't think I, I, I can see ya, do ya?
Levi Ackerman was not for interacting with his Scouts off the field as much as he was in battle. He was often reserved, saving his time and energy when he wasn’t in fight or flight for those he personally wanted close to him. Such as Erwin, and Hange.
So, when he by accidentally brushed past his strongest soldier, he took it much more as a surprise than she did.
At first, he jumped slightly. He wasn’t used to touching anything more than the swords he uses to slice the napes of the titans he battles so frequently. Shoulder to shoulder, even with clothes on, it was unexpected.
She, on the other hand, only had the smallest smirk on her face. Levi took that personally.
“Oui, brat,” he hissed, continuing to further his distance, “watch where you’re going.”
She continued walking, her head up, but couldn’t help but say back, “my apologies, Captain, but I was the one watching where I was going.”
Levi couldn’t even react or give this scout any form of reprimand, because she was off before he could open his mouth slightly again.
He shook his head, turning on his heels and continuing towards his office. He tried not to think anything of it, but, why did he feel so warm when they brushed ever so gently?
He hated it.
She, on the other hand, was delighted for it.
I've been watchin' you for ages
And I spend my time tryin' not to feel it
Y/N approached Mikasa after her run in with Levi, her stomach all in knots after her slight conversation with him afterwards.
And Mikasa could tell something happened with her.
“Hey Y/N? You okay?” Mikasa was one of Y/N’s closest friends, and she was her biggest cheerleader. They have been glued to the hip ever since they joined the Scouts, even more closer once they were both assigned to Levi Squad.
“Never better,” she almost hummed. She tried not to get too into her head about Levi. But, it was hard. She’s only been fawning over him for the last 5 years, waiting to see if he’d notice her back. Normally, she didn’t think he did. He treated his Squad as equals.
But, then sometimes she would catch him staring at her longer. Caring for her more considerately. Levi even goes out of his way to ask her how her day is going, more times than none. He’s never done that with Mikasa.
“Oh, is that right?” Mikasa nudged her friend as they continued walking, heading over to Eren and Armin to complete more training cycles before their big mission a few days from now.
Y/N tried her hardest not to feel warm, but it was the only thing that consumed her for the remaining of training for the next battle everyone was preparing for.
And I could see you being my addiction
You can see me as a secret mission
The Battle of Shiganshina District, their most important battle of this war yet. It was time to reclaim this land against the Warriors of Marley. Levi and Commander Erwin were up late the leading nights into this fight. They had to win.
They were going to win.
Levi was rarely nervous going into battle, because he knew lives would always be lost. It was their job to make those lost lives mean something. But, this time, there was one life he could not imagine losing. Normally, it didn’t bother him. It didn’t eat him alive. This time was different though. Because they’re so close, and he couldn’t lose her now.
Y/N was consumed with the idea of Levi, and she needed this battle to go smoothly because she was not opting to lose him either. Their strongest Captain, one of the main reasons they have all made it as far as they did.
It had a smooth start. Everyone was positioned exactly where they needed to be. Armin, Eren, and Mikasa were the top three that had to make it to Eren’s old house to get into the basement where the truth about titans stayed. Y/N was tasked with staying and traveling through the trees, to protect these three so they could make it successfully. Everyone else was on the ground, rushing with their horses to continue taking out as many titans on the field as possible.
Y/N was annoyingly thinking of Levi the entire time flying from tree to tree. Make it there so you can make it back, she kept repeating to herself. It was annoying mostly because Y/N was 99% sure Levi did not care about her in the way she was addicted to him.
She was close behind her three friends, and everything was going fine. Everything was going fine, until a titan appeared through the trees out of nowhere, very quickly, and Y/N’s foot was suddenly locked in its jaw.
Armin, Eren, and Mikasa were too focused on their expedition, so they did not hear Y/N get swiped through branches and leaves, too in shock to scream out for help. She wrestled her leg, desperately gripping her hands on her calf to try and rip it out of the titans mouth. The pain was starting to creep in more as shock wore off, and survival kicked in.
Y/N took her blades out, and slashed the inside of the titans gums quickly. This gave her enough time to yank her leg out of its mouth as it opened in pain and use her ODM gear to latch on to another tree, much higher up than the titan could reach. There was blood all over her now from the injury she gave the titan, and from the severe gash she had going down from her calf to her ankle as well.
“Fuck!” She screamed, as she laid on a bigger branch as tall as she could make it. She had a small bag on her side with any emergency items she might need, including a green and red flare gun.
Alright dumbass, she thought, make sure to shoot off the red flare gun.
And she did. Now all she had to do was wait, as the pain started becoming more unbearable, and her loud screams and cries took over her entire being.
Further away from the forest, Levi was so confused.
A red flare gun shooting up from the trees? That wouldn’t make any sense, unless...
His heart sank.
Hange was riding next to him, and they also looked as confused as he did. “Who could be shooting off a red-”
Levi frantically looked over at them, “Find Erwin and tell him to send first aid as soon as I start going in that direction!”
“What? Levi-”
“For fucks sake Hange, don’t ask any questions for once! Just do it!” and Levi was rushing off on his horse towards the trees, praying to God he had enough time. Maybe it was Armin who set it off, or Mikasa. Someone he wouldn’t throw up seeing in pain because it would just be too much for him too. He was so tired of losing people he loved, cared about.
Loved? He felt like he was going to throw up just by how easily that fear and feeling crept into his mind.
Levi felt like it took forever for his horse to catch up to the forest, but when it finally did, he realized this might take much longer because he was too frantic to remember which exact direction the flare came from.
He decided to just go in every possible direction until he heard screaming. Luckily after a few moments, he heard just that.
“Help me!” Y/N had been screaming for what felt like hours, “PLEASE!”
Levi jolted in the direction he heard her. Of course it had to actually be her. He looked up high as he continued traveling through the nearby trees, and finally saw her leg hanging over a branch while her other leg was held out straight being supported by it. His ODM gear landed right next to her on that branch, and he quickly got up beside her.
She felt like she was going to cry just seeing him here, she wasn’t dreaming right?
“Levi,” she whimpered, “I can’t feel my leg.”
Levi ran over to her, and right away started tearing off any additional clothing he could spare. She had been bit, and it wasn’t a gentle love bite either. She was bleeding more than he liked. But, from the look in her eyes, she was obviously more terrified than he was. So, he needed to act calm. Collected. Not at all scared for her life.
He was SO scared for her life.
He ripped his cloak off his back and tightened it around her calf. That should stop most of the bleeding, but the first aid crew needed to be here as soon as possible so her bleeding didn’t soak through and actually become life threatening.
“Hey,” Levi finally got the courage to say, “I’m right here to help you.”
Y/N chuckled softly, “I’m going to die here, before I find out the truth. Aren’t I?”
Levi shook his head, applying pressure to her wound, “Stop talking like that. It’s a small gash.” Whatever he could say to make them both feel better, right?
Y/N sighed loudly, wincing as she tried to move her body.
Levi prevented her from moving more, “Quit it, brat. You need to stay still.”
“I’m so sorry you had to come save me, I probably ruined this mission” Y/N started tearing up, surprised she didn’t start crying sooner. Her knight in shining ODM gear literally came to her rescue, when she least expected it. She thought no one would be able to see the red flare go up in the sky, but she should have known. Levi would always come to save her.
As Levi was applying more pressure, her vision started to become funny. A lot more little white dots were appearing in her eyesight, and Levi’s worried glance was becoming fuzzy as well.
“Levi? I can’t see you as well anymore...”
Now he was panicking. She was about to pass out, and if she passed out before actual help came, she might not wake back up. He wasn’t going to let her go without a fight just yet.
“Okay,” Levi applied more pressure while cushioning his body to hers, “can I tell you a story?” A fucking story? Whatever. Anything to keep her awake. Anything.
She nodded slowly, and Levi leaned his forehead against hers as he continued putting all his body weight on her calf. For a short man, he sure forced himself to stretch to where she’d be distracted. Maybe feel all the emotions boiling up inside her like the ones about to pour out of himself.
“You’ll have to stay with me, okay? You can’t hear the end of the story without staying awake, brat.” He kept his eyes on hers, and even though they were low, they were still open. “The world’s strongest soldier was assigned a secret mission, and he almost felt like it would be impossible to complete. He had to save the life of the most worthy princess who suddenly went missing, one that every prince was fawning over. The soldier knew he had close to no chance, but maybe if he did save her, she would see him for his own worth as well.”
Y/N chuckled, a little bit of life coming back to her, “Do you see me as your secret mission?”
Levi smirked, “What makes you think you’re the princess?”
Before she could answer, both Levi and Y/N heard people shouting. Levi’s eyes widened. Y/N felt relief wash over her entire body. Maybe she wouldn’t have to die here after all.
“Levi! We’re coming up to assist you! Is someone injured?”
“Yes!” Levi screamed back, “Y/N L/N is!”
The first aid team started to use their gear to get up in the trees to assist Y/N down to safety and to real medical help. She continued to keep her eyes on Levi, as his body never left her side.
“So, how does the story end?”
Levi smiled softly, planting a light kiss on her forehead, “you’ll find out another time. Let’s get you safe first, princess.”
I could see you in your suit and your necktie
Passed me a note saying, "Meet me tonight"
Queen Historia threw the biggest welcome back party once everyone made it back safely.
Well, not exactly everyone...a LOT of lives were lost in the Battle of Shiganshina. Almost every single soldier, and then some. But, the strongest survived and made it back. The truth about the titans made it back. And although they were celebrating the few bodies who made it back in one piece, there was still a heavy amount of loss in the air. But, now there was a way forward. A way to possibly end the war against titans for good. A way to prove these sacrifices were not for nothing.
Levi was dressed in his best black suit and tie, which he felt was ridiculous. But, the Queen insisted everyone dressed as formal as formal could be. This was a celebration at the palace, after all!
Y/N was still recovering, but with crutches, she was able to get around just fine. She felt like it was ridiculous she had to go to such an event, dressed the most beautiful and feminine she has in years, yet look so frail with the crutches under each arm.
She was dressed in a deep red gown, off the shoulder with long lace sleeves. She wanted to wear red for the amount of blood that was lost, and to remember her fallen soldiers who did not make it back like she did. She was even lucky herself she made it back. She won’t be fighting in any future battles for a while, that’s for sure.
Y/N arrived with Mikasa and Eren, who were matching most disgustingly. She enjoyed seeing them explore their feelings, though. Even if it was never verbally mentioned, they still both knew deep down who they were saving each other for.
Eren and Mikasa made their rounds, everyone congratulating them on making it to the basement. Armin was fashionably late, arriving with Connie, Jean, and Sasha. Y/N looked around, looking for the only person she cared about seeing tonight.
And as if he was reading her mind, he slipped right up behind her, placing a small piece of paper into her hand.
“Captain?” Y/N’s brows furrowed, and he just shrugged and continued making his own rounds with his fellow soldiers and peers.
Y/N tried her best to open the note without losing a crutch, and on the small piece of paper was Levi’s gorgeous handwriting, ‘Meet me tonight, my office.’
Then we kiss, and you know I won't ever tell
After a few hours and champagne glasses later, Y/N excused herself once she realized her Captain had done so ages ago. She couldn’t exactly rush to his office as she was unable to walk or run properly, but she definitely had a pep in her step upon arriving at his office. She took a deep breath before knocking, and it took maybe a second for him to answer the door.
She wasn’t too sure where she stood with her Captain. They obviously kept it professional, but ever since they brushed past each other, something sparked. Especially in Levi. It was almost as if he cared about keeping it hush, but not about keeping it strict with his subordinate anymore.
“Did you have fun?” Levi made room for Y/N to step in, closing the door as she made her way towards his desk.
“As fun as someone could have, mourning everyone that died.”
Levi sadly nodded, “I understand that. It was not a light and easy night for any of us.”
Y/N took a seat at one of his chairs, “But, at least we weren’t mourning me. Right?”
Levi smiled and shook his head, “I’d be unable to do anything if I was mourning you, brat.”
A small silence washed over them, but it wasn’t awkward. It was comfortable, warming, surprisingly it was the safest they have both felt in a long time.
Y/N spoke up again after more moments passed, “so, I was wondering. Can I hear the end of that story now?”
Levi chuckled softly, “I was hoping you’d ask me that.” He took a seat next to her, grabbing both her hands in his. She didn’t even hide her smile, because this was everything she wanted. Even if it was wrong, it never felt so right.
Levi continued the story, the words flowing out of his mouth, “The soldier was looking for the princess for days. She was definitely lost, and the kingdom was missing her. The soldier, probably missing her the most. As he continued his journey, he heard soft singing in the forest miles away from her castle. It wasn’t the most beautiful voice, but it didn’t matter, because it was hers. The soldier hurried over to her once he located her sound, and when he told her that he had come to rescue her because she had been lost, she laughed at him. She told the soldier, for she was never lost, but that no one went to the lengths he did to allow her to be found. That touched her.”
Y/N was in awe, how can someone as hard and reserved as Levi Ackerman have the most beautiful and gentle soul?
But, she also frowned, “So, I’m definitely not the princess in this story.”
Levi took a deep breath, “But, you are. You were not lost, you were waiting to be found. Especially in that tree. And I am so fucking lucky I found you.”
Another wave of silence, but Y/N’s mouth opened slightly at Levi’s confession. She went to try and stand up, but Levi prevented her, getting up from his seat and kneeling in front of her so she wouldn’t have to move.
“Do you mean that?” Y/N whispered.
Levi nodded, his eyes going from her eyes to her lips. He slowly inched forward, unsure if this was the right timing and assumption, but Y/N closed the distance and crashed their lips together validating his urge.
“I won’t tell anyone,” she breathed in between kisses, allowing Levi to cup her face and hair as it came so powerful and urgent to him how much he truly needed her.
“Save it for when we win the war, and I don’t have to be your Captain anymore, brat.” Levi said deeply, connecting his lips onto hers again as if it was the only thing he could see himself doing for the rest of his life. Because, it simply was.

Wedding Date - Levi Ackerman AU
Summary : Levi Ackerman needs a date to his cousin’s wedding…who knew you’d say yes and it was the best decision you could have made?
Notes : I finished AOT last night and I figured it was time to distract myself with posting my first lil AU Levi fic…let me known what you think and if you have any requests send them my way!! ❤️
—————
Levi Ackerman was dreading his cousin’s wedding.
He was allowed a plus one, and it didn’t help that he absolutely had no idea who he was going to bring. Erwin offered, but Levi just felt weird bringing his boss as his wedding date.
“Why don’t you just ask some random girl? It’s not like it’s anything serious,” Hange, Levi’s coworker, suggested one day while at the office.
Levi worked for a company that ordered all the parts to build submarines for the Navy. It could be a boring job sometimes, but the pay was good, and there were opportunities for work at home. Levi also had an influential boss, and a good group of coworkers in his cohort.
He shrugged at Hange’s suggestion, “I would prefer to go with someone I know because it is that serious,” his eyes lit up, “do you want to join me?”
Hange held back their fit of laughter hearing that question, “As much as I love you, the idea of being dragged to a wedding with you hurts my soul.”
Levi rolled his eyes, “whatever, brat. Forget I asked.”
Hange suddenly had a sly look on their face, something Levi caught onto quickly. When they made that face, it was rarely good. It meant they had an idea that could be brilliant, or absolutely insane.
“What if…” they started, “you asked y/n?”
Levi’s brows furrowed at that suggestion. It wasn’t the worst idea, as you were one of their coworkers as well. You were quiet, and reserved, showing up to the office most days because you worked better in this atmosphere than at home. You were in the same cohort as Levi and Hange, but your communication was close to barely any. Levi didn’t mind, but he was always curious to get to know you more. Plus…you just happened to be one of the most naturally beautiful people he’s ever laid eyes on. But, romance wasn’t his thing, being professional and respectful was. So, he kept his distance as you did yours.
He shook his head after thinking, “she wouldn’t dare. She never even accepts our invitations to get drinks after work. What makes you think she’ll say yes to this?”
Hange snickered, “because, I’m always joining you for drinks as well, you idiot. It’s worth a shot!”
Levi groaned, but decided they were right. It was worth a shot. You wouldn’t hold it against him, hopefully, and the worst you could say is no.
—————
“Fucking finally,” you groaned, logging out of your computer after one of the longest shifts you’ve ever had.
Work wasn’t hard, it was just precise and time consuming. And you really needed a drink after today’s shift.
Standing up and grabbing your things, you turned around to notice Levi Ackerman walking towards you. Your heart skipped a beat, because it was rare he was approaching you alone. It was normal during the work day because he mostly had questions or tasks for you to do. If it was once the day was done, it was always with Hange to see if you’d go out for drinks with them. But alone once the day was done? This never happened.
Levi was so handsome. With slick black hair, and the most gentle but mysterious eyes, you mostly kept your distance because you didn’t want to embarrass yourself in front of someone so beautiful.
“Hey,” he softly smiled once approaching you. You almost wanted to turn around and see if someone was behind you, because this felt like a weird joke.
“Hi, Levi,” you smiled back. Just keep smiling, you thought, it will mask your nerves!
“So, um, I have a weird question?” He nervously put his hand on the back of his head scratching it. What the fuck was going on?
“Shoot,” you continued to widely smile, but decided maybe to turn it into a soft one so you didn’t look insane.
“Um, okay,” he sat down at your desk, your eyes widened at the sight. Was Levi…also nervous?
“So,” he continued, “I have this wedding. It’s my cousin’s. You’d honestly probably get along with her well. But, that’s besides the point. She’s getting married, and I was offered a plus one. I really don’t want to go to this stupid wedding alone, and I dread the idea of taking someone I don’t know. But, I thought maybe…” he paused, because he knew he was going to sound both desperate and stupid, “you would want to go with me?”
You took a few seconds to process his question, confused because, “there’s no one else you can take?”
Levi was taken aback by that question, “ah, no? Erwin offered, but I think that’s just weird. I asked Hange, but they said no. So now-“
You sighed, “I’m your last resort,” interrupting him.
Levi stood back up quickly, “no! Absolutely not. Quite honestly, you would have been my first, but why would you even want to come, right?”
You laughed softly, “when is this wedding?”
Levi’s eyes lit up, “two weeks from this weekend. I’m sorry, I know it’s not a lot of time.”
You shook your head, gently placing your hand on his upper arm in comfort, “no, that’s alright. I can find a dress in time.”
You were insane for this. Why, why, why did you so easily agree to being his date to a wedding?
“So you’re saying…?”
“Yes,” it flowed out of your lips so easily, “I’d love to be your plus one.”
—————
Levi was even more nervous heading to your place to pick you up for the wedding than he was fucking asking you to be his date. Ever since then, you’ve hesitantly agreed to get drinks with him and Hange three times, and you and Levi even ended up getting tea some mornings. A light friendship was blossoming, but deep down, Levi knew his feelings towards you weren’t just friendly.
He pulled up to your address, and slowly got out of his car. There was still plenty of time to arrive to the ceremony, but he wanted to see you as soon as he could. He knew he would need a few moments to recover after seeing you dolled up.
He shut the car door, walking up to your front door. One, deep breath. Two, deep breaths. Three…
Knock, knock, knock.
The hairs on your neck rose staring at yourself in your bedroom mirror, hearing the knocks from downstairs. He was here. Levi, your date to his cousin’s wedding, was here. You softy pinched yourself, in case you were dreaming.
You weren’t.
You stared at yourself for a little longer, building up confidence to go answer the door. You were wearing a silk and long emerald green gown, that hugged your body and went all the way down to the floor. You had on gold heels, but they were hidden from the dress skirt. You felt both bare and beautiful, not often dressing up for events like this.
You took a deep breath, turning on your heels and hurrying to the door. Levi was waiting long enough.
Is she ever going to answer this damn door? Levi thought to himself, any other possible thoughts being cut off by you finally opening the door slowly.
His jaw dropped taking the sight of you in. How could it not? He has never seen you outside of work clothes, and this dress? He almost started wondering what it would look like on his floor, and then some.
“Hi,” you spoke first, also taking a good glance up and down of Levi. He was wearing a light tan suit, with an emerald green tie to match your dress. The colors went perfectly together, and he was even more of a vision than you expected.
“You look, um,” Levi was flustered, and it made you blush, “you look incredible. I really like that color on you.”
“Thank you,” you smiled widely at his compliment, “that’s a wonderful suit. It was clearly made for you.”
Levi chuckled, offering his hand. You grabbed your purse and keys quickly, taking his hand and allowing him to lead you to his car. The butterflies in your stomach were erupting as he opened his car door for you, being much more of a gentleman than you expected.
Suddenly, this was feeling a lot more than just a favor to him. And little did you know, you both very much felt this way too.
—————
Tears streamed down your face as you watched the ceremony in awe. And although Levi was there for his cousin, he simply couldn’t take his eyes off of you.
At the reception, you and the bride became quick friends. She asked you loads of questions (where did you and Levi meet? What’s your favorite drink? Once I’m back from the honeymoon, wanna grab some dinner? I’d love to stay connected after tonight!).
You were in your element. From the champagne to Levi’s entire family being so warm and welcoming, you almost forgot about your date sitting by the table waiting for you to come sit back down and keep him company again.
You had a few glasses of champagne, so your cheeks were flushed and pink but your confidence has never been higher. You wanted to dance with Levi, so badly.
He watched you float over to him, his stomach dropping to the floor. How did you manage to still make him so nervous?
You reached out your hand, “come on, Mr. Ackerman,” he grabbed it and you pulled him up, “come show me how to dance.”
Levi snickered, but let you drag him to the dance floor. He was ecstatic, watching you move your hips and arms and body to the music and allowing him to grab you and twirl you whenever he could. Eventually, a slow song started playing, and it wasn’t the alcohol making your cheeks bright red anymore.
Levi didn’t even ask, he pulled you close to his body and wrapped his arms around your waist as you wrapped your arms around his neck. How come it took you so long to understand how perfectly you two fit together?
There was some silence, until you asked the question that’s been on your mind ever since he asked, “why did you really ask me to be your plus one?”
Levi smiled softly, “well, let’s see…I’ve wanted to get to know you ever since you started working with me, but you always stayed away.”
You frowned, because he was right, “I’m sorry. I sometimes take separating work and personal life too seriously. It was never anything against you, or Hange, or everyone else.”
Levi shook his head, “it’s alright, brat,” he winked calling you that infamous nickname, “you just can’t blame me for wanting to be your friend. You somehow light up the entire room once you’ve walked inside.”
You chuckled, because even if Levi doesn’t want to admit it, he has a soft side and you have been lucky enough to see it for yourself.
“I was just surprised, is all. You could’ve asked anyone else,” you continued.
Suddenly, no one else was in the room anymore, it was just you two.
“Yeah, I could have,” Levi agreed, “and, I almost did. Hange suggesting I ask you was the best thing they could have done for me.”
You raised your eyebrow, trying to ignore your stomach about to explode from every single feeling you felt for Levi taking over, “why is that?”
Levi took a moment, but, it was now or never. He needed you to know how he felt for you. He didn’t want this to just end as you being wedding dates, and nothing else.
“Because, I’ve gotten to know you,” he put his lips closer to your ear, causing a shiver to slowly travel down your spine, “I’ve gotten to admire you from up close, instead of far away. I’ve gotten to hear you laugh, I’ve seen your smile, I just…you are incredible y/n.”
You closed your eyes, as he continued, your bodies still swaying to the soft and slow music, “I can’t pretend I don’t feel anything for you anymore that is not more than friendly. I want to hold you, I want to kiss your forehead, fuck, I want your dress to be on my bedroom floor once we leave this reception tonight.”
You gasped, not expecting the end of that confession, and moved your head so it was looking right up at his.
“Levi…” you whispered, but before you could even reply any more, his lips crashed onto yours.
Shock. Hunger. Admiration. You felt it all as you gripped Levi closer and quickly kissed him back. It occurred to you that you were both still in public, so you made a mental note to dial it down with the hunger as you kissed him back. Levi softy groaned, pulling away from you as the song slowly ended.
“Will you come home with me?” He whispered, smiling as you couldn’t contain the biggest smirk on your face from what just happened.
“Only if I get to be your wedding date for every next one you go to,” you whispered back, getting on your tip toes to plant one more kiss on his lips.
“Deal,” he effortlessly breathed out, spinning you around one more time before bringing you back close to his chest, exactly where you belonged all along.

Write fanfiction guiltlessly. Do it not only because it’s good practice, not only because you don’t feel like putting your energy into original stuff, but because you do feel like putting your energy into fandom. Write fanfics of epic proportions or tiny one-shots; write fluff or angst or cliches or tropes; publish the roughest version or keep the twelfth draft for only yourself. Do it without feeling bad. You owe no one anything; the act of creation is a gift in and of itself, and it doesn’t matter if you’re creating fanfic or original stories or whatever else you want. All that matters is you enjoy it, because why else would you do it at the end of the day?
Write fanfiction guiltlessly.
