blame this on percy being the main character. but i love that throughout most iterations of percy jackson and the olympians. book, musical, or tv series. he is somewhat aware that his story is being told. in fact. he is the only character in the pjo series that talks directly to reader. and i just love the implications that he can sense a plot point before it happens.

People used to comment on web comics.
People used to comment on fanfiction.
People used to comment on fanart.
People used to comment on OCs.
I hate "content" culture.
I hate "consuming content" and scrolling immediately to the next thing.
People used to be excited about the art that other people created.
People used to want to share that excitement with creators.
I hate this future.

i will never understand how people have the heart to hate Jason even after they found out that his Ambrosia tastes like fucking sawdust. Ambrosia being tasty is like one single happy thing a demigod can have despite their tragic lives, because it reminds them of the home they once had, but lost. And Jason doesn't even have that, he doesn't even have a home to lose in the first place.

see writing is funny because sometimes you have to google things like “can the human body survive with every rib broken” and other times you have to google things like “is there an ikea in manhattan???”

when I see something dated 2019 I think “oh that’s not too long ago” and then I remember that 2019 was not only five years ago but those five years have somehow contained several lifetimes

wanna make a distinction here: I love dark!percy, it’s my favorite trope, most of the pjo fics I’ve written center around it, I consume any and all I can get
but to me dark percy is always always been about percy rebelling against the gods, not demigods
that’s the key difference between percy and luke. percy would never presume that he could build something better than the gods, wouldn’t want to tear it all down and everyone who ever supported the gods and rule in their place.
for me, dark percy is about percy going after the gods directly, no more middle ground, no more being pushed around on quests that gets his friends killed that the gods don’t even remember. it’s about percy bringing the fight directly to them, and yeah also taking care of anyone that gets in his way. but aftermath? not something he thinks about. he doesn’t want to sit on the throne, he doesn’t want to create a new world, to me, dark percy is born out of revenge and vengeance and no end goal, just wild power that’s done being held back and controlled, just like the ocean

Okay. Dark Percy ? Right, he has always been a little dark and not just in Hoo but like in every single book.
The last olympian: Percy THREATENED and pushed Lenus to the floor. Lenus, an elderly member of the council -name I don't remenber-. Yeah he was a douche bag but still.
Battle of labyrinth, the obvious one, the volcano scene where percy WAKES up a TITAN (not just any titan but a titan that gods and goddess struggled to defeat). And not just that but he is thrown LAVA, also in the same book where he cleaned the stables that sea was IN him.
Titan's curse, yeah he held the sky and all but what about his fight with thalia, he totally let his emotions get the best of him. Just think for a moment percy against the daughter of the king of the gods, Zeus.
Sea of monsters, I would say in this one the dark part is, the cordiantes. I know what you will say, HOW ARE CORDIANTES EVIL, well imagine if he is thrown in to some unknown place as a punishment of whatever evil thing he did. If there's water he would be able to know where he is and escaped.
The lighting thief, in here there a couple of one. First lets take notice he was 12 years old, he faced A GOD, and not just any god the WAR god but besides that one lets say when luke poisoned him with the scorpions he survived that shit.
Percy Jackson has always been dark, and manipulated. We just didn't notice
