i completely support this reading of the two of them. god, the shared angst and survivors' guilt reaches truly cosmic proportions. unfortunately they both have such erratic communication styles, so the trauma-bonding will probably take a while to present itself.

luckily, they've got other shit to vibe over in the meantime. all i can picture is them showing each other their chaos-gadgets and fawning over each others’ homebrewed WMDs.
