This died so quickly I dont even know if its worth a review now. I like the potential this had, but it tapped into such a hard market. We know of smash and all the lessors. So for Warner Brothers to jump in and do their best impression of Pal world felt pointless (meaning they tried to snatch Smash’s whole flow). The characters were cool and a great bump in nostalgia, but the balancing was off and the grind wasn’t necessary, wanted, or important. Is this a game I may pull out when some people are over? No, I have smash. But was it fun for those two weeks it came out? Sure why not. This is fun on an indica, when you dont take this game seriously it’s quite fun to pass the time when every other game is pissing you off at that moment.

Game is still technically unfinished, but for what we got this is immensely fun. I remember when I first played this I was so terrified to go out at night. Now I’m just trouncing around like its nothing. I love love loveee the AI enemies in this game. While yes, some are broke. It’s just such much better to have this intelligence that sometimes just wants to scare you, run you off your land rather than mindlessly attack. Makes it scarier. I’m not a huge fan of survival games, I’m barely doing that in real life why should I have to struggle in another one, but unlike something like Day Z there is some leniency that doesn’t make the survival annoying. Plus the lore is engaging love peeling back the layers to a story I wouldn’t be surprised they turn into a movie some day. Great on a sativa, partially for the paranoia factor but also for the big brain mode for building and just surviving. A sativa helps keep you in that hyperfocused zone.

This is the first game in a while I saw myself going into a deep grind as if this was siege. The customization from guns, play style and apperal has you coming back. I repeat the drip is insane. But while the customization is bonkers, its so limited behind a paywall. And I know I know the game is free so they gotta make their money some how. But damn its annoyingly expensive. As for gameplay matches can feel inconsistent, with empty lobbies, players leaving matches early and a few big bugs. But when you actually get your friends online and joining a super competitive match, the game just plays out like a movie. Do I still have that feeling of wanting to grind this game? No, but the fact they put solos in, and hopefully they can make a four squad, this is easily a game I would chose to play over Modern Warefare 3.
