Israel cuts Gaza's final internet line, plunging it into total communication blackout.
Israel bombed the last main fibre route in Gaza, which means that as of June 12, all internet and fixed-line communication services are now completely cut off, further isolating Gaza amidst an ongoing genocide.
I am seeing more and more calls from inside of Gaza for help with eSims as that is currently the only way they can connect internally and with the outside world.
- Buy eSIMs here.
- If you can't afford it, you can donate any amount to this eSIM fund.

Bonjour mon amie! As someone who has disabilities and wants to travel to France for the first time, are there some phrases you think might help me navigate around better? For example, if I have to ask where there might be accessible seating at a venue, or ask someone if there are accessible bathrooms, or how to politely ask if there are any ramps or escalators for people with disabilities in their venue or vicinity? Things like that would be really helpful as I’m struggling to find good recommendations for this. I am a little anxious about going to cities like Paris where I heard there are less accessible options around so if you have any tips at all I would really appreciate it❤️
Hello dear,
I recommend you check out the website of the RATP (Paris' public transportation system) right before coming as the elevators don't always working because of maintenance or accidents. Here is a link of the stations supposed to be accessible. If you have a chair, here's a page for the Paris aéroport's system. You might also get free parking (check the visitor question at the end).
PS - I don't know about other companies, but Carrefour has started doing "calm hours" twice a day for people with sensitivity issues. This page will show what restaurants are accessible.
Here is some vocabulary:
I am disabled - je suis handicapé-e/en situation de handicap
I have reduced mobility - je suis PMR (peh eh-mm eh-rr: personne à mobilité réduite)
amputated - amputé-e
pains - des douleurs, f
a chair - un fauteuil roulant
crutches - des béquilles, f
a cast - un plâtre
treatment - un traitement
meds - des médicaments, m
prescription - une ordonnance
And sentences:
is your establishment accessible - est-ce que votre établissement est accessible pour les personnes à mobilité réduite
are there stairs - est-ce qu'il y a des escaliers
is there a ramp - est-ce qu'il y a une rampe d'accès
do you have accessible seating - est-ce que vous avez des emplacements/places pour les PMR
is it easy to park - est-ce qu'il est facile de se garer
do you have a disabled bathroom - est-ce que vous avez des toilettes handicapé
do I have to book something - est-ce que je dois réserver
is there room - est-ce qu'il y a de la place
how much does it cost - combien ça coûte (de + verb)
This page from the Opéra de Paris also has some extra vocabulary that cover different disabilities. Hope this helps! x
