I've just read the Akatsuki Hiden novel and uhhh...does anybody find it kind of weird that Nagato cared about both Yahiko and Konan so much and straight up shipped them to the point of wishing they had kids one day, just to later make Yahiko's body into his main path and sort of become him? 😭

y’all see a f/m anime ship where:
— the girl is obsessed with the guy,
— the girl idolizes the guy,
— the girl loves a version of the guy that she created in her mind to fit her fantasies,
— the girl suffers because the pining and love is very much one-sided and has never been shown to be anything but,
— the girl ends up with the guy after a time-skip despite him showing absolutely no romantic feelings for her during the entire manga/anime which makes the relationship look bland and fake because we didn’t see the guy grow to love her romantically (or to like her at all),
(++ the guy has more chemistry with his best friend and is shown to love them more than he does the girl)
and u eat it up every time and are convinced it’s the best ship in the entire verse, but still go and argue w ppl who ship something else even tho ur ship is canon like u literally won y r u mad

#sooo my friend made me read Tokyo Ghoul:Re because we used to be huge fans of the og series back in the good ol'days#and I gotta be honest - it's been literal years since I've felt so much discomfort when it comes to a fictional piece of work#all because of the Tooru/Torso stuff#this whole plotline was extremely upsetting tbh#I'm not a fan of big and epic fight scenes which is why I didn't want to read the series in the first place#but this storyline was borderline psychological horror and I'm just...idk kinda traumatised? feeling a bit sick?? the discomfort is real#it also reminded me very much of that one Melanie Martinez song called 'tag you're it' and just thinking about it makes me go 🤢🤢🤢#bye I hate it here#tokyo ghoul re#tokyo ghoul#tokyo ghoul:re#tg#tg re#tg:re#mutsuki tooru#tw
