God it really PAINS ME to unfollow talented creators on simblr, but if you're using AI – even if you say it's "just for fun" –, you're simply repeatedly telling me, an artist, that you don't care about me. Because at this point everyone knows what AI is, it IS stealing. You're on tumblr, you've seen artists complain about being stolen by jealous tech bros who didn't care to watch one single youtube video to learn how to draw so they made an entire genre of nightmare technology to imitate us. You are on tumblr, you've seen what has been going on with OpenAI and Automattic for the past couple of hours. You've seen your mutuals screaming "OPT OUT" and teaching you how to turn this thing off your profile. Yet, you still play around with this uncanny valley made real. So yes i will unfollow and sometimes even block people who are using AI, and i encourage you to do the same.

real quick edit btw, I really cannot stand some of the encounters I've had with simmers blaming other simmers for their broken games and refusing to acknowledge the game itself is broken regardless of modding. I've firsthand had someone say it must be peoples mods- etc. that are causing some of the game breaking bugs that came with For Rent simply because they themselves don't experience those bugs.

so for the love of god consider that maybe this game is just broken as shit lol. People are testing their games entirely modless, entirely fresh, wiped, etc. and it is STILL broken.

I think sims 4 is beyond savior, I love this game I really do. Some days I have SO much fun with it and don't wanna stop playing for HOUUURS, it holds a special place in my heart. the whole series does as I've been playing sims 2, 3 and 4 for several years. But as we all know, sims 4 is a buggy mess.. and its not just new bugs, its bugs that have accumulated over all the years this game has been out for. Bugs that persist since launch, bugs that come from old packs- caused by old technology they've since updated, etc. with the continuation to allow these bugs to build over the years, it's going to become a point where there's so many problems within the games code that there is nothing more for them to do other than to begin remaking it. which.. is not going to happen, it genuinely saddens me to see the way they continue to slowly kill this game beloved by so so so many people simply out of greed, and I cannot imagine the frustration of the employees who work on the game and are just as passionate about it as the rest of us- being limited by such a shitty company. I don't think I'll ever stop playing this game, and forgive my rant my brain is a little foggy after going out for some drinks with co-workers earlier, I just feel so sad watching my game slowly become unplayable with or without mods.
