second, if Less could dress how she wanted, how would she dress?

Thank you very much! Less would probably wear slicker, more modest gothic clothing. Long skirts, turtlenecks, with light accessorizing. But I'm evil and think that Mell dressing them up is funny so it'll stay.

At the end of the day, Less isn't deeply hateful about it, but more finds the clothing choices to be tacky (compared to her personal taste) and too cutesy. She'd rather come off as more sexy, but Mell likes to dress her very cutely.

What’s the lore behind the melleths?

Mell is the goddess Escargot in “disguise” you could say, as it’s a role she takes on to be involved with humanity. In her day to day prior to her life as Mell, she was a bestial goddess who remained in the realm of the Norns, sleeping in a meadow for centuries upon centuries until moss and flowers began to grow over her. She only awoke at the Norns insistence, and chose to settle where Morian and Eauflinne were currently focusing themselves at. Because of this, she’s a less prominent player in the timeline at the moment.

However, she is a Voidsent who has formed a pact with Sabata, and assists her in battle from time to time, as well as offering her useful items or tidbits of information here and there. She does not travel alongside them, and Sabata has a special bell she can ring to call her forth. The sigil on her forehead is what keeps her form human, however it was very sloppily made, and as a result she bleeds from every orifice. Sometimes it’s gushing, sometimes just leaking.

Lesshalot, who prefers to be known as Less, is one of Mell’s creations. Since she still has her goddess abilities, she is able to forge life, and created Escargot as a minion. She exists to bounce between timelines for information, and is generally her handmaid. Less finds her deeply, deeply annoying, and enjoys the time spent away from her. She also does not like Mell’s fashion sense, and hates that she dresses her. However, she could also just cease to exist, so she’s chosen to give up ahead of time.

Less is acquainted with Engelieth, and hopes to become her friend. However, she’s very defensively aggressive, and can come off as a bit intense yet unsettlingly monotone. This causes Engelieth to be paranoid around her, and she thinks that Less hates her, so they have a bit of miscommunication going on there.

They are also not siblings nor girlfriends or anything, the name is just a convention that Mell has formed.

They are lesser characters in my OC verse, even Escargot, so they don’t have too much of a grand impact on the timeline. At least for now!

As a final fun fact, Mell’s entire first name is Mell Rem Ru Melleth, and she will not respond to any shortened versions of her name. On the other hand, Lesshalot prefers to be called Less.
