‘Most artists use gold very frugally because it is so prized and expensive,” she noted. “I follow the tradition of the Ancient Egyptians. I lace my work with gold in the hopes that these canvases can live on in perpetuity long after I am gone.’

Lina Viktor is BRILLIANT. Electric Lady, blazing sista artist in-fucking-deed. smh
im reading this article and when i came across her piece “Constellations I” and then the follow-up picture of her in her studio, i gasped out aloud, “jesus christ”. my senses were overwhelmed, feeling like i might cry in those quick seconds it took the image to interact with me. will be digging more into her work. but shit, im a fan.
