Hello! I play BnS and i recently just started playing and i have never played mmos before. Its all so overwhelming and im not very confident in talking to people on it. The point being, what is a clan? And what do clans do? I enjoy the sound of one

Sorry for late reply. I wanted to wait till I was on the computer to answer. Don’t be not confident about it. It’s nothing to be confident about to begin with lol. Most the people who are good and all knowing about them probably play them much more than they should but that’s besides the point. Just don’t feel like you’re less than anyone because you haven’t played many MMOs before.

A clan is also known as a guild. It’s a community of people who work together to achieve goals such as daily quests, pvp quests, farming for things and helping one another achieve their goals and gear up. It can also be a place where you can simply have fun and chat all day. That is my personal definition of a clan/guild. 

A clan in the terms of Blade&Soul will be essential to getting far in the game. Having a sturdy group of people to run dungeons with is very good thing to have, especially if you are someone who is short on time. Having a good group who can clear things easy, make your game easy. I know that later in the game, it will be pretty much a priority because the dungeons get much tougher. 

Clan crafting is also very helpful. There are potions that replenish 2,000 more HP per second (or something) than the normal ones and there are also seals that will immunize the effect of Blackwyrm’s growl. There’s also outfits you can craft to show off your clan’s dedication!

I hope I have answered your question correctly and that you understand what I’ve said here. Don’t be afraid to join random clans, sometimes people will branch out from their original clan once they have made a group of friends.

Still recruiting members and mods. I’m a bit disappointed I have not received any applications. I don’t know how to feel about it honestly. Is there something about the information that throws someone off? I was hoping by telling a little about myself that it would help people understand what the atmosphere of the clan chat would be like. Maybe it is because I don’t require VOIP. I don’t know. I’m really bummed out because I have worked hard on the website and the image and I really love the clan name... .hmm... Anyone have suggestions at least?

Reasons why I love Blade&Soul

I’ve been a bit bored of leveling alts and doing dailies so I thought I would type up a little article for the blog!

First and foremost is the costumes! The wide variety of costumes brings out all aspects of the game. The modern, the fantasy and even the traditional wear. There are plenty of free costumes you can earn in game as well. Which makes it even more rewarding in my opinion. 

Second. The Boss battles. Of course the most common technique developers do is make the boss sequence one everyone can remember. The boss battles in Blade&Soul force teamwork with it’s double ___ system. As well as remembering NPC phrases, grabbing guns, and turning pipes to add to the craziness of the battle. You even have to learn when you can abuse the double __ system. (Such as Chef battle, after poison she will do a sequence of attacks which you can down her after) 

Third. Cross server dungeon. This feature is super helpful for those who have emptier servers. It is great for playing with friends on other servers as well. It’s a neat function that more games should incorporate. 

Fourth. What really makes this game so lovable is the amazing combat. It is really unique and one that is so much fun. I don’t think I’ve ever had as much fun with another game’s combat as I have with Blade&Soul’s. It makes you really feel like a cool super hero and a Master. 

Fifth. I was considering not adding this to the list but the leveling system is quick. I actually like that it is really...easy to reach max level. It makes it easier to experience all classes in my opinion. A lot of people since alpha have complained that it is too easy to level but that is how it was in Korea and other versions of the game. I personally prefer it that way... Maybe it’s because I’ve played the game so many times. 

And that completes the list of reasons why I love Blade&Soul. On a side note about the leveling system. I like that because raising alts before new content is so quick. I’ve been leveling a lyn blade master/blade dancer. I should have her to level 45 before the new content. Though I’m not sure if by that time I will have her evolution decent or not haha but more alts at lv45=more money for your main.

Character Slot Increase Petition?

Does anyone want to make one? I am seriously disappointed that only 7 slots are available. I know in other version it’s also that way... and they bump the amount allowed when a new class is introduced but I don’t know why I am extremely bothered by this. I know it sounds weird to want more than one of one class but maybe some people do. I really enjoy making characters and it would be awesome if they could all be on the same account... 

I thought the limit was 15 for some reason. That would be more than enough. And we are paying to increase it so... give the people what they want!! 

I know I’m probably going to get a lot of hate for this post. I’m just super disappointed I can’t make more than I want haha. I do have a character for every class but I want more...

New changes

Seems like this update made it so that you had to be the level of the weapon you are adding to the evolution. Before I could farm before I got to the level and evolve but I just now got a thing that says I need to be level 36... I don’t know how I feel about this. 

There is various outfits added to the in game shop although we can’t seem to view the pink glasses. At least I can’t anyway...

I did notice blue frequently does blackwyrm and ogres. I tried to do blackwyrm...I helped kill it and died a few times but I was alive and dealing damage the last few %. I got the achievement for beating blackwyrm but no chest showed up. And I'm positive I heard it drop but....no where to be seen...

The clan thing though. I'm concerned some people if they end up joining will expect a voip program of some sorts...Since it's so common for the "normal people" haha. I have seriously been thinking about it! If I don't make friends and join their clan, I will try to create my own.

Wow... Yes you are very correct. Everything you said was wonderful. I am happy to see positive and informational people in the community! :) Especially on tumblr of all places.

After you saying that about blues. I think I will change factions tomorrow. A lot of the crimsons are very undergeared and very inexperienced. I didn't know all the veteran players were going blue. I would have if I originally knew this. It sucks for my character cause she looks so much better in red and black colors!

Crimson is also very gullible haha...Someone said let's do blackwyrm with...maybe 30? undergearedish crimsons lol. The chatlog was spammed with deaths for awhile. Hopefully I can finish getting my insignias before I switch.

Also thanks for the advice about the clan. It was helpful. But the clan was just kind of accepting anyone via the guild shout outs so I suppose that leaves no formalities or anything. I shouldn't have expected to be friends with anyone with that lol. I suppose I will switch factions and hope Ceruleans will be nice and party with me from time to time.

Gosh...I can't wait for pvp island and Hell content lolol It's going to be quite fun even though I don't enjoy pvp as much as I wished.

Let me first off start by saying that I’ve been awake for 24 hours and while I feel completely fine....my brain is a bit unorganized so if I mess up any grammar or spelling or something I apologize in advance.

This has been a topic I’ve been wanting to type to SOMEONE about but you know... I don’t have friends lol. 

So anyway, been SUPER conflicted about changing to blue faction. Red faction just isn’t cutting it. We’re not geared. Most of the blue has like super duper geared stuff. I mean it’s ridiculous. We change channels, they follow. I’m POSITIVE they have neutral spies standing by to catch red movement. This is just on Mushin Misty Woods, not sure how it is on any other server...

Now to clans... Clans. Yes... 

Am I the only one that absolutely hates that every clan wants you to use VOIP? I’m sorry, I’m an introverted antisocial human being who doesn’t want to sit in your TS3 or Discord. I also only want to type to you through clan/party chat... Now, originally this is just a thing... I only joined VOIP if I had been communicating through typing for awhile with someone and felt comfortable enough to open myself up to speak.  However, with recent diagnosis and changes in my body and stress related things, I don’t think I can do VOIP at all even if I try. 

I’m not saying I have had like some horrible accident where my vocal chords are like reconstructed to sound like a heavy smoker or something. I just... I TRIED to at least LISTEN to the voip with this one clan... I got nervous and had a panic attack(this was also probably a result of one of my medications BUT I took it because I was nervous).. Anyway, I can’t do it. The stress and my nerves just do not mesh with the voip thing. 

So kind of just “examining” this clan really makes me want to create my own clan. I’ve seen how it’s ran and I just... I just disagree. 

One of the players was making Moonwater Transformation stones. Two people paid in Soul Stones. Also from when I mentioned needing them prior to this incident, he tells me I can pay in Soul Stones. Well... He says you need 120. I look at the recipe and the recipe is 100 soul stones...for 10. But he gives you 1.This really rubbed me the wrong way and he began to just seem like scum to me. 

Between joining the clan and this incident, I had some typing action with the guy and just found out he has a very know-it-all attitude. Let’s be honest... who actually likes those people? So to further this view of scumminess... This incident occurs.

Basically, two people had paid for Transformation Stones. The guy just finished a batch and gave their 2 to another player. I will say the GM jumped onto it immediately to talk to him about it because I think it also was wrong of him to do it to those two. Keep in mind it takes 24 hours to craft not mentioning the clay refiners so maybe 36 hours or so... 

So while he is getting all these extra soul stones... Of course you know he has evolved his weapon with albeit by selling those soul stones or using them for his weapon.  I look to see the next day (possibly the same day, I sleep too weird now to remember) and he has evolved his weapon further. Meaning he likely used some from the batch as well... 

The people are friendly with those they know in the clan but ignore and shrug off most people. I guess that is what I get for joining a clan through guild recruitment in game.  

And from then on I just dread this clan... I haven’t been back in Discord (nor do I plan to) and I am seriously considering making my own clan for those who like just being behind a keyboard and doing quests together. 

To me personally a clan should be a close community that helps each other grow. If you help each other grow, you will be stronger together. None of this making profit off my clan mates. Just give me whatever (do the math) and I’ll make it. Let’s farm this for this person or that for that person. I know not everyone has the same schedule but if you have at least 2 people in a party who know what they’re doing you can definitely make it through some dungeons with pugs.

Now before you tell me well it’s all because you’re antisocial that these people seem to ignore and shrug off “people” or myself. But I put myself out there by trying to talk in clan chat. I ask simple questions and don’t get responses. It’s just... I’m not acknowledged, no one wants to learn anything about me. There is just too many random people for anyone to be friendly with one another. Even asking for help is a simple yet hard task because...they don’t give a shit. They’re too busy doing whatever they’re doing... 

I really apologize for this rant. I did not want this blog to turn into that but... I’m too busy most the time grinding, doing dailies and things to tend well to this blog. I get a few followers but not many responses to my posts or anything so I just come here to vent things about Blade&Soul now....

Also, if you think I should totally make a clan and are interested in joining. Let me know! I really like to be a leader but I’m just afraid of VOIP and....people.

Did they not get the first few levels of the game?

I’ve had a few newer people in parties for Poh. Last night the run took probably an hour... with a couple people leaving. I admit I messed up a couple times but it’s been probably 2-3 years since I played Poh. 

Now, the biggest issue I have with most PUG parties is that they don’t know how to CC ... almost at all. The good parties usually know how to CC and that’s always great for a run. I am pretty sure multiple lessons from Hajoon was about CC. 

I was on at 2-3am though... They seemed to not understand English at all or ignored the chat completely. I’m not sure... I also came across someone who didn’t understand English I’m positive because they became really defensive for no exact reason? Lol.

Gah. Not being a part of a guild really sucks though. I have debated making my own guild but... I have social anxiety and it kinda transfers to online too. So the likeliness of me trying to meet people and add them to the guild is next to none. 

I also keep waiting to meet someone via parties and be invited to a guild but I guess that won’t happen... Most guilds want some VOIP software which isn’t really needed IMO for a game like this but I can’t do that either. I really don’t want to talk to strangers let alone listen to them :/. No offense...

Anyways, that ends my rant for the day about B&S. If you wanna hit me up in game I’m on Mushin playing as kristabelles.
