Ah so we then agree that the problem is managers and bosses, not devs
Last angry post.
But this leak really did damage my view of the pokemon developers. Not because "Omg edgelord lore about rape! 馃槺" But more about how if that was the shit some of the employees were wasting their time making, instead of LITERALLY ANYTHING YOU CAN INCLUDE IN A PG GAME SERIES!
Then what faith should I have on the current games not being mismanaged to the point of employees working on content that is so inapropriate for what the final product intends to be, that they may as well be blowing spit bubbles at their desks.
Before you could blame crunch, you could blame burnout, Now However! I am going to forever wonder in the back of my mind. "How much content that would never be able to be included in the game, did they waste time making?" When I see a plotline go unresolved, or a animation look poorly done, or a pokedex get cut.
The devs had time to write about a Slaking raping an unconcious woman, while a bunch of mutilated Slakoths watched. But they don't have time to 3D model 50% of the pokdex, apparently.
#of course never mind that writing a modified version of a pre-existing story takes only a handful of minutes#and 3d modelling and animating takes hours#but at least you arent blaming devs/writers anymore#im so tired of people bkaming devs or artists or writers when the problem is from managment

Ok so it looks like the musician said some racist and anti semitic stuff quite a few years ago. Everyone talking about it seems to not be in the affected groups? I'll have to read more into it when i have access to my headphones. Currently seems like there's a good chance the musician has grown past all this
