Still, Aaron wants a baby of their own and, through surrogacy, Annie is born. Aaron is over the moon but Robert’s moods swing from detached to panic to indifference over Annie. Unfortunately, Robert bottling of his emotions leads to his putting Annie in danger more than once. Robert sees it as karma if he loses Aaron or can’t love Annie properly. What will it take to get Robert the help he desperately needs before he loses his family?

Reunion 3.0. Robert was sentenced to eight years for GBH with intent. It’s now five years later and Robert is free. After a few days to get himself together, Robert returns to the village to find Aaron is involved with a paramedic (relatively new so irrelevant bloke) and worried he wants to take Sebastian away from. After reassuring Aaron that is not the case, Robert begins to bond with Sebastian while also getting closer to a still skittish of being hurt Aaron. They have cheerleaders in Chas (definitely AU) and Nicola.

Adam and Vic separately manage to convince Aaron and Robert respectively to be each other’s date (blind) to their wedding. Unfortunately, first impressions do not turn out well courtesy of Andy and Katie…

Breaking Free (2018) 6.5K words, TurquoiseTerrior

Alternative take on the must miss Lachlan/that woman in the woods mess. Here, Lachlan took an unconscious Robert to the woods and played minds games on him to believe he was held for longer than it was. The bulk of the story though is Robert’s rescue and the aftermath in hospital with Aaron (who never gave up on him) by his side and others happy he made it out alive.

Aaron and his family own Dingle & Dingle, a flower shop which Robert walks into one day wanting an apology arrangement made for wife Chrissie (for events taking place in Apr-May 2015) as well as card for her (his attempts at writing them rubbish). 1:30 PM 28-Apr: 28-Dec-2006 (4557), 29-Dec-2006 (4558)

1) An out on bail Bob faces the wrath of Viv. Carl is convinced Bob killed Tom. Jamie is on the receiving end of a knuckle sandwich. Del goes for a new glamorous image now that Paddy is engaged. 2) Bob confesses to Tom’s murder to Carl’s delight and Jamie’s dismay. Pollard tries to get (con) David into using his inheritance on a venture. Toni and Paddy both have doubts.

1:40 PM 29-Apr: 31-Dec-2006 (4559), 01-Jan-2007 (4560)

1) Kelly implies to Toni the ‘proposal’ was not what she thought and gets confirmation soon after. Toni blames Del for her woes. Bob is not granted bail to Viv and Jamie’s chagrin. 2) The engagement is off and Toni is furious of Paddy’s high spirits. Val’s suspicion of Pollard lead her to find the dodgy DNA test. Viv demands answers from Bob.

1:40 PM 30-Apr: 02-Jan-2007 single 1 hr episode! (4561/4562)

Viv confronts Jamie (who Bob’s when protecting) who protests his innocence. Del voices her concerns over David going into business with Pollard. Jo opens about her mum to Andy. Jamie changes his statement to a horrified Bob. Pollard worries about David seeing the DNA results. Kelly is determined to fleece Jimmy however possible, even with a sob story.

1:40 PM 01-May: 03-Jan-2007 (4563), 04-Jan-2007 (4564)

1) The DNA results are revealed to Pollard and David when Val tears open the envelope and David is thrilled! Bob is set free and now believes Jamie innocent. Jo’s mum Jackie arrives on Katie’s invite. Katie’s starting to put things together. 2) Katie and Andy argue over his lies. Andy doesn’t know who to believe: Jo or Jackie. Pearl loses Tootsie while walking her. Gray lies to Perdy while actually at a casino with Diane.

1:40 PM 02-May: 05-Jan-2007 (4565), 08-Jan-2007 (4566)

1) Katie wants Jo gone but a vicious mum/daughter row has her ordering Jackie to leave. Tootsie gets caught in a Dingle trap to a horrified Edna. Paddy and Hari assessment of Tootsie are pole apart. Perdy rumbles Grayson but he comes up with a new lie. 2) Hari extorts more money out of Edna while Louise and Paddy want to lower her bill. Andy and Jo bond over their parents. Perdy and Grayson’s marriage troubles continue.
