While simple is the goal, it's not a goal unto itself. Variety keeps things interesting. Variety adds zest, impromptu, inspiration, excitement & anticipation. So, get out there & mix things up in your life. . If you're like me & you absolutely love to work; your work is your passion, it's hard to make yourself stop & do something else. Then, heed this advice: "Step Away From the Keyboard." Go Find a New Creative Pursuit, a Fun (dare I say) 'Hobby.' Uhh...what's that you say. I'm saying "Put Down that Device & Get to Living." Your mind, your family & your friends (yeah, remember those) will thank you. Your business will benefit. Your life will be richer anddddd you 'will inspire others.' . Start with once a month, but your mission is to get to once a week. Yes, it's not only possible, but trust me, you WILL get hooked. And, the transformation in your life & your business will blow your stilettos off. You'll soon be kicking those Pradas to the curb for a temporary bask in your flip flops (Tory Burch of course). . Watch out...it's intoxicating & your gonna want some more o' that.

Simplifying is NOT an option.  It's a necessity. . What part of your business really requires your genius, your talents?  What part do you love MOST?  What lane can you confidently own & dominate in your market? . Decide now & focus your energy on those few things in your genius zone only you can rock out, only you 'should' rock out.  EVERYTHING else - eliminate from 'your' schedule (eventually). . I say eventually because I'm not one of the crazy gurus who say must outsource everything & leverage your finances to the hilt right from the beginning.  You can grow into the 'everything' place.  That said, you do need to begin taking small steps even before you think you're ready & I'm certain before you're comfortable. . You cannot grow if you're not set up for success 'before' you hit a serious growth spurt.  Being unprepared will not only kill your momentum, but can 'kill' your business. . "You never get a second chance to make a 'first' impression." So, be smart from the beginning. . ALL four pieces are essential to long term growth, sustainability & 'profitability': eliminate, optimize, automate, delegate.  Continually evaluate where you are 'at least' on a monthly basis & adjust as needed. . I've chosen to automate a number of things & hire out a couple of pieces I know are not my gifts, right from the beginning.  You may not be able to afford everything you need.  But, you need to figure out a way to hire out at least one thing so you learn how to lead, how to best communicate, what systems work best for 'your' team & start learning the challenging process of hiring. . Cut your teeth early so you don't waste a ton of money, resources & the most precious, irreplaceable tool - time.

Part of keeping things simple in business requires regular check ins and checkups from the neck up. It's like spring cleaning for your biz. You "will" thank yourself when you "take out the garbage " that's cluttering, clogging & preventing your progress. . • No Excuses not to do proper planning regularly. No time for a full on planning retreat, my absolute fav, then do a mini goals getaway. No need to even leave your city but you MUST block your time. AND...can't stress enough, you must eliminate "all" regular distractions. Yes ladies, all the digital goes bye-bye.
