because it’s not about just the concept of being alone that is pivotal to his character, it’s about the isolating consumption of grief & how it drives him to self-harm, drives him to dig a hole for himself deeper than his loved one’s grave. his friends try to coax the shovel out of his grip, but it just makes him dig faster until they flee before they’re covered in his filth. & now he is alone & he keeps digging, silently begging for someone to tear the shovel out of his hands before it turns on him, or he turns it onto himself. & this is why s4 martin blackwood is a Thursday Girl more than he is a Nobody. thank you
