The amount of hate byler gets is so insane to me because like NO other non-canon ship gets as much hate as byler, and byler shippers, do..

byler doubt eraser #19894714 is will is canonically better at loving mike than el is. he's better at talking to him, apologizing to him, empathizing with him, relating to him, comforting him, arguing with him effectively, and he's even better at confessing to him.
even though will is saying it's from el, his confession is special because of the way will is delivering it and how passionately will believes in what he's saying. absolutely nobody else could have made mike believe in himself the way will did in that moment. it wasn't just the words, it was the fervour and genuine way they were delivered to him. it was personal, it understood him to his core. what he feared, what he wanted. how he sees himself, how he wants to, and what he actually is.
anyone can say something nice about you, but not everybody can make you believe it. especially when you have low self esteem.
will is better at making mike feel understood, worthy, seen and loved. i mean seriously. look at it

The Note on Ross's Insta IS Byler Content!! (Handwriting Analysis and Context)
Okay, so on my Twt tl and on byler tumblr i've seen this (kind of flirty?) note that was posted by Ross Duffer on insta during filming resurface a lot:

As one person pointed out a while back, the only character we really see with a Rubik's Cube is Mike, which you can see that he keeps in his bedroom on his nightstand in season 1:
So, we can take a guess from this and say that the note is probably in Mike's room, or at least in his house... But who is it from?
(this is where I become a detective, haha)
SO, some people had pointed out that the handwriting kind of looked like Noah's, but I have noticed that some of the cast have similar handwritings so I wanted to put it to the test:
First, I found the interview Finn, Noah, and Millie did where they're writing on whiteboards, and I took screenshots of all of Noah's answers to compare:

Then, I did a side-bye-side of some letters (and one letter combo) and......

There is zero doubt in my mind that Noah wrote this note, especially when looking at the handwriting for the 'e' and the 'go' it's a basically perfect match!
Now, a lot of people have argued (and reasonably so) that this is probably just a note that Noah left out of character for the Duffers or some other cast member, but I want to explain why I think that it's actually likely that it may be part of the show:
Firstly, if you look at the script resting next to the note, you can make out only a couple words, but the one that stands out to me is "message:" In my opinion, it wouldn't make much sense for the Duffers to be casually be carrying the script and setting it down to take pictures in a character's room if there isn't something being filmed there, especially when we can assume from "message:" that the note or some other written message will be shown.
Also, it honestly makes sense in terms of the plot - this post was on day 1 of filming, and we know that they filmed portions of episode one that day, where we are almost definitely going to see the Byers staying at the Wheelers' (and therefore Will staying in Mike's room), meaning that it would make sense for Will to be leaving this note at some point in that episode
In all I obviously don't think this note is an actual plot point, but it is a cute easter egg and little bit of a look into Mike and Will's s5 dynamic if it really is part of the series :)

Okay idk why I'm about to do this but,
If this post gets 5,000 notes by July 10th then I will record myself singing The byler all I want for Christmas parody and put it on YouTube, and make my all I want for Christmas is a demo dog t-shirt into an all I want for Christmas is byler Cannon t-shirt.
Good luck.

So remember how Maya said Robin is going to be mentoring one of the younger teens?
I just realized we never got confirmation that Robin is actually mentoring Will, we just assumed it would be Will because of the BTS photos of Maya and Noah's chairs (plus Robin and Will are the only canonical queer characters so, you know, would make sense for Robin to mentor Will), but now one of the leakers on Twitter is saying Mike has more scenes with Robin than Will (x)
And then there was that leak a year ago that said Robin and Mike bond over their shared worry over Vickie/Will aka their love interests (x)
So is Robin going to help Mike in coming to terms with his sexuality, because oh my god, oh my god–

Something that I truly believe the GA just won't understand is how much Stranger Things can actually teach you.
Like, we have a plethora of diverse characters and no two people are the same.
Will is a sensitive person, more so than ANY other character in the show. He cries, he likes to paint, and he loves EVERYONE even when they've hurt him. He's one of the characters who bears a lot of trauma, but he doesn't let it shape who he is. Will is DIAGNOSED with PTSD. God forbid he lets himself cry. He never gets angry at people because of what happened to him, and he always dismisses it if he's going through something. And his biggest problem is Mike 'We're friends. We're friends!' Wheeler.
Joyce is a baddie. She doesn't need no man on her shoulder to be a good mother. When Will went missing, she fought tooth and nail to bring him home even when EVERYONE, even her eldest son, was calling her crazy. She's a leader and she's a character who has so much willpower and doesn't let anything stand in her way.
At first glance, Jim is a fucking asshole. I didn't like him when the series was just starting out. But that's what makes it so good, because he wasn't an asshole for no reason. He lost his KID. And he was given a second chance with El. He can do it better this time and he's going to be there for her as long as he can help it. In season five, I'll expect them to be a separate team from the others. Which is what she deserves. She doesn't need to be with Mike to be an amazing character.
Nancy, Joyce, Robin, and Max are all GREAT examples of women who can lead without some MAN telling them what to do. El can be the same. What she needs is the chance to be independent and learn about herself. Mike can't give her that. She needs to figure that out for herself.
Billy was an asshole. Through and through. There was no excuse for him to be racist towards Lucas, even if he had a bad childhood. Just look at what Will went through, and he's still a fucking angel, so Billy literally has no excuse.
The amount of feminism that Nancy projects is INSANE. She doesn't listen to anybody and when she has an idea she GOES FOR IT. When something bad happens? SHE GRABS A GUN. When someone says she should do something this specific way, it's BULLSHIT and she does it her own way. When the kids are in danger, she puts herself directly in the path of danger.
Mike is one of the most complex characters in the show. He's a natural born leader and goes out of his way to save people. When he first met El, he didn't save her out of LOVE. He did it because he's a protector. Originally, he was going to send her back to the asylum and only let her stick around because she knew where WILL was. And that's what was important. Will. He was hellbent on finding him. In season five, I can GUARANTEE he won't be leaving Will's side. And the only time they'll be separated will probably be because Will is off his rocker this season and too busy fighting internal demons and disappearing all the time.
Because he's been reminded of what's important. And it's not El. She can protect herself. But we know Will can be vulnerable. He doesn't believe he's loved, and that's a good opportunity for Vecna to go after him. Only when he truly starts believing that he is loved will he find the courage to come into his own.
We have so many characters all with different backgrounds. We have mental health, domestic abuse, sexual assault, eating disorders, bullying, homophobia, anger issues, neglect, internalized homophobia, racism, and literal DEMONS FROM HELL.
But you're telling me the GA can't grasp something as simple as two boys falling in love? How emotionally dense do you have to be to be so ignorant?
If you're going to DNF the show just because of Byler, then I'm sorry but you smell like hotdog water and you've missed the entire point of the show. This is about not fitting in. Instead of the protagonists being some..chiseled jocks who are heroric and attractive, we instead have four weirdo nerds obsessed with a game. Four people who are smart as fuck and have been cast out from society and bullied for being different. Especially Will.
And the whole show centers around him. BECAUSE he's different. Growing up and feeling like you don't belong is one of the most difficult things I've ever had to go through. And as a fan of the show since the EARLY days of season one, I can't even begin to describe the happiness I feel when I see Will Byers.
He was not made for you. Will Byers belongs to the people who grew up as a misfit. He belongs to us who feel like mistakes in our own bodies and struggle keeping up with social norms.
Will Byers belongs to US. Not you.
If you have a problem with him because of Noah then I assume you're either a 12 year old who has spent too much time on a screen and not enough time touching grass or you're a 47 year old bald man who doesn't know what common courtesy is.
If you hate on Will just because he's gay then I'm sorry but Stranger Things is not the show for you. Try Riverdale instead. We do not want you here.
Stranger Things is not afraid to put homophobes and racists in their place. Troy pissed himself and suffered a broken arm. Steve got his face ruined and got a redemption arc. Billy literally fucking died. And they aren't afraid to put queers on a pedestal either. To make THEM the important characters. Instead of being sidelined, it's often the queers and the nerds and the people who don't fit in who are given the important roles.
And that's what Stranger Things is all about.
Like it or not, Will is an important character. He deserves this time in the spotlight. When Byler is canon in season five, don't say we didn't warn you. We've been trying to open your eyes since season two.
Byler is the perfect representation of what a HEALTHY and ROMANTIC relationship looks like. Two people are so alike and are quite literally color coded through the whole series and are just so painfully gay for each other it HURTS.
Mil*ven is the perfect representation of what an UNHEALTHY and TOXIC relationship looks like. It's full of arguments, no heart to hearts, NO mutual respect, gaslighting, lying, and literally just zero chemistry.
Over and out.

Let's do a quick comparison of El's and Will's first and last scenes...
First shot of season 4:
(El painting Hopper's figurine for her diorama vs Will making a romantic painting for Mike)
Last one on one scene of season 4:
What we know of season 5:

In conclusion, once again, El's personal arc is about family more than romance and her relationship with Hopper seems to be what the writers are focusing on. Will's arc is about romantic love and his feelings for Mike. This kinda spells out how the ending of the love triangle, don't you think? Why would the writers focus on those two pairings in the last season of the show if Mike and El are supposed to be this endgame power couple? Why did Mike promise to be a team and to kill Vecna with his best friend who's secretely in love with him instead of his superhero girlfriend? Where exactly is the supposed "main couple of the show"?

Blue crayon ( mike wheeler poem)

i'm sorry
if all i am to you now
is a blue crayon—
worn down, blunt-edged,
just something you grab
when you’re trying to paint over the parts
that hurt too much to say out loud.
you draw storms with me.
rain.
grief.
the kind of tears you don’t let fall
but still manage to color in so vividly.
and i let you.
i let you press me
until i snap.
i let you drag me across paper
like maybe if i bleed enough pigment,
you’ll see me.
not the color.
me.
you use me to shade in the pain
and then toss me aside
when the picture gets too real.
i can’t come back from this.
i’m wax on your hands,
i’m sorry i was only ever blue

Byler Body Language Analysis
Okay so I got one of these videos pop up on my tik tok and I don’t have anyone I have feelings for to apply this to 😭 - so immediately my brain went to byler and I put together this video according to the “tik tok experts” - for anyone struggling to see any potential between these two - I hope this helps 😊
Mather some of these are a reach? Idk…but I feel like all together it’s lil suspicious

LITERALLY.
It can’t be just me who genuinely gets so pissed off when people say Will is going to die. I know it’s peoples opinion but when they’re like “how Mike’s gonna be when will dies” just no.
I’m confident they aren’t going to kill will, not only would it be devastating but fucking stupid from writing perspective. Stranger things has been shown to directly contradict the “bury your gays trope” multiple times, it’s a show made about outcasts and going the route of killing one of the 2 (at the moment) canonically gay characters in the finale would go against their key ideas and give homophobic people in this fandom free reign to say he deserved it.
I don’t think they’ll kill Robin either but killing Will would be diminishing his character to: gay boy deserves trauma?
Season one: will was kidnapped.
In season two: the show explores the extent of his ptsd from this and he gets possessed
In season three: he’s ignored by his friends and is told to suck it up basically despite his trauma (obviously this was somewhat resolved, I don’t think his friends meant it that way but you get my point he was left behind)
In season four: he sacrifices his love for Mike to uplift Milkvan a failing, loveless relationship (unbeknownst to him)
A boy who has exprienced so much pain, so much trauma and hardly any happiness in return. A boy who was ridiculed for being gay before he probably even knew it. A boy who feels like a mistake for loving his best friend.
And we think that he’s going to die?
“90% will is gonna die next season 🤕” literally NO?
It would almost certainly be to uplift a straight ship as well according to some people and do we know how backwards that is?
If the duffers kill will it’s bad writing and I’ll stand by that.
(Sorry if this is clunky I was just a little tired of this kind of conversation)

Let's stop using the milkvans tags, like, just because our ship is more likely to be canon and we disagree with them doesn't mean that they don't deserve their own space. Like, if Milkvans started using OUR tags I would crash tf out.
