How To Win Scratch Offs Every Time
Scratch-Offs New scratch-offs come out every First Tuesday. Approximate overall odds of winning including breakeven prizes is established at the time of printing. Some people win one or two Maryland Lottery prizes and they are walking on air. A Bankroll Buck$ scratch-off player from Elkton, however, is winning so much she’s walking on sunshine. “I’ve won a few times in the past, and every time I win I feel very lucky,” said the player calling herself “Miss Elkton Sunshine.”.

These are pretty simple things too! So whether you are a gamble often or just buy scratch offs or lottery tickets to hopefully hit the jackpot or win the Powerball, once in a while, you can use these tips.
In this post, I’ll give you a few tips to increase your odds of winning on every scratch off ticket you buy.
Tips to Increase Your Chances of Winning Scratch Cards
Here are a few not so “secrets” you can use to win money on your next lottery scratch card.
1. Don’t purchase the cheapest scratchers
There are so many scratch cards out there nowadays that it can be pretty confusing to know which ones to buy. You sort of feel overwhelmed by all of the choices!
There are so many different designs, prices, prizes and brands available that it can be hard to decide which ones to purchase.
Thankfully, there’s a really easy tip you can use to make sure you purchase the right ones:
Don’t buy the cheapest scratch cards.
It can be tempting to purchase the most affordable ones; after all, you can get more of them for your money.
But these cards are cheap for a reason – the prize pool is lower.
You’d be better off purchasing just a few of the more expensive cards, rather than lots of the cheap ones. It’s quality over quantity basically.
2. Buy them in bulk
While the expensive cards are better, buying in bulk is still a good idea because it increases your chances of winning.
A lot of people swear by purchasing scratch cards in bulk. Consider purchasing a few scratch cards from the same game in a single trip to the shop, rather than just buying one scratch card.
Your odds of winning may increase if you purchase in bulk. It’s like with the lottery; the more entries you have, the more chances you have to win.

How To Win Scratch Offs Every Time Every
If you get a bunch of scratch cards in one purchase, then the chance of hitting one of those winning scratch cards may be higher.
This is a pretty easy way to up your chances of winning, so you may want to consider it. Don’t just buy any card in bulk though. Follow the rest of the tips in our article and combine those with buying in bulk to maximize your winnings.
I’d only recommend purchasing in bulk if your budget allows it – talking of which…
3. Make sure you set yourself a budget
I cannot recommend anything more highly when it comes to playing scratch cards than setting a budget.
It’s so important for your financial health.
Just as important as actually setting the budget though, is sticking with it. Be strict with your budget.
While this doesn’t increase your chances of winning, it does keep you from losing too much money.
Set yourself a weekly or monthly budget and make sure that you stick with it.
4. Check the odds before you buy

Like I said before, the amount of scratch cards out there nowadays is crazy. There are so many to choose from.
So how do you know which ones have the best odds?
As I also said earlier, purchasing the more expensive cards is a good option.
But another simple tip is to purchase the cards with the best odds, because, well, these give you the best chance of winning!
It’s not tough to find them either.
The odds are actually printed on the back of every ticket!
Really. You can even ask the cashier at the store to tell you what the odds are on the back of the tickets before you buy them. Choose the games that have better odds, and you’ll increase your chances of winning.
5. Check your state’s website
The last thing you’d want to do is purchase a ton of cards for a game only to learn that the biggest prizes have already been claimed.
It’s completely legal to sell tickets for a scratch off game after all the top prizes have already been claimed.
That’s why I’d highly recommend checking to see if a game has had any prizes claimed before you make a purchase. Bookmakers commission.
Some stores will post a flyer with the information, although sometimes this is weeks out of date.
The best way to make sure you’re not wasting your time on a game is to check with your state’s lottery website.
For example, I went on the Oregon state lottery website and viewed a scratch off game on there to see what prizes were left.
As you can see in the photo above, this Casino Gold game had two top prizes remaining. It lists the odds of winning too, which is handy!
To find your state lottery’s website, just open up Google, enter the term “(state name) lottery website,” and hit search.
I just entered the term “Oregon state lottery website,” for example.
Rebel stakes 2016. If all of the top prizes for a game have been claimed, consider switching to a different one.
6. Keep your losing tickets
Keeping your losing tickets can be a good idea. This is because sometimes the manufacturer will run a second chance game where they ask for losing tickets to pick a best loser, so to speak.
Second chance drawings allow you to turn a non-winning ticket into another chance to win.
For example, at the time of writing, there were details of a second chance scratcher game on the Virginia state lottery website.
You could enter a non-winning ticket into the weekly eXTRA Chances drawing. The scratcher just had to have the eXTRA Chances logo on the front in order for it to be entered into the drawing. Prize themes change every month and, at the time, included gift cards, vacations, and concert tickets.
All you had to do was buy a scratcher with that logo and then if it was a losing ticket, you could either mail it to the Virginia Lottery or enter online with your non-winning ticket. Or you could use the app to enter the drawing.
Lots of states have second chance games like this.
So it’s worth checking with your state’s lottery website to see if there are any second chance games available.
Just as importantly though, keep hold of your losing tickets! You don’t have to spend any more cash, yet you get another chance to win.
7. Take in all of your losing tickets
Like I said above, you shouldn’t just throw out your losing cards and not only because of those second chance draws that I mentioned above.
No, another reason to not throw out a losing card is that it may not actually be a losing card.
There’s always a chance that you may have missed something on the ticket, which is why you should have your ticket officially checked.
You can have the computer at the retailer check the winnings to make sure that you haven’t missed anything. This way, you don’t throw away any winning cards!
It’s always worth doing, especially in games that have several different ways to win prizes because it can be easy to overlook winnings.
Get your ticket checked and you could win something!
8. Try the “Singleton” method
Next on the list is a tip that was used in the past by a lot of experienced scratch card players.
It’s called the “Singleton Method.”
This method involves looking at the numbers that are visible on a card before you purchase it. Basically, you analyze the card to see if you can pick up on any patterns that can indicate whether a scratch card has certain numbers, symbols, or combinations that could lead to you winning.
Now, this method isn’t really as useful as it once was because when the manufacturer’s caught on to the fact that people were analyzing the cards this way, a large number of them designed future cards to work against this method.
Still though, there may be a few manufacturers who have not yet taken steps to address this method. So you could still use it on the type of scratch cards that have numbers visible on the side.
It’s definitely an interesting theory. If you would like to learn more about how the singleton method works, then check out this guide from Casino.org.
9. Avoid package promotions
What Is The Trick To Winning Scratch Offs
Another really useful tip I have is to avoid those “Mystery Packs” or other package promotions. This is because these promotional packages are often just a way for retailers to clear out their old stock. So they repackage older cards and then sell them in discounted ticket packages.
At first glance, it can seem like you’re getting a good deal. Who wouldn’t want discounted scratch cards, right?
In reality though, these packages are comprised of games in which the top winnings have already been claimed. This leaves you with little, if any, opportunities to win prizes yourself. It’s always best to focus on active games where there are still top prizes left to be won. That way, you have a better chance of actually winning.
10. Play them like the slots
Okay, this tip will only work if you have a lot of time on your hands and don’t mind doing some detective work, so to speak.
You’ve probably seen those people who hang around the slots waiting for someone to lose before swooping in to take that slot machine.
There’s even a Friends episode about it where Phoebe gets lurked by an older lady who always swoops in and wins right after Phoebe leaves her seat after a losing streak.
There is some science behind this method. Although the house always wins, as they say, slots do have to pay out at some point. And if a slot machine hasn’t paid off for somebody in hours, it’s likely that it will pay off for the next person who comes along.
Surprisingly, you can apply this same method to scratch cards.
Long streaks of losses can mean that your odds are better if you swoop in with a well-timed purchase.
So, how does this work with scratch cards, you ask?
Well, it’s pretty simple. Just try talking to the cashier at the store to get some information on which games have paid out recently and which ones haven’t.
That way you can play the games that not many have won yet.
While this doesn’t guarantee that you will win, it may up your chances. After all, if someone earlier bought ten tickets and lost on them all, and you buy a few, there’s a better chance your tickets will win if those previous ones didn’t.
Similarly, if another game has had lots of winners, then you’ll know which ones have paid out already, and therefore, which ones to avoid.
So keep an eye on your competition.
Good Luck!
While there’s no magic formula for winning scratch cards, there are plenty of things you can do to improve your odds and make sure that you don’t miss out on any opportunities to win!
Remember though that you should always stick to your budget. You want to keep your finances intact.

What Is Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest?
Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest is an annual competitive eating competition that takes place every Independence Day in Coney Island at the Nathan’s Famous Corporation’s original restaurant.
This has been a highly popular and anticipated event over the years, as Coney Island is world-famous in terms of its summer recreational activities.
The origin story of this competition varies depending on the storyteller. One of the more popular tales has been told by former Nathan’s promoter Mortimer Matz. He claimed the first competition was held in July 1916 when he set up a hot dog eating contest among four employees to settle an argument on who was the most patriotic.
Let’s fast-forward several decades to the 1990s and 2000s. During this time, the Nathan’s Contest was dominated by Japanese contestants, most notably Takeru Kobayashi, who achieved six consecutive wins from 2001 to 2006. The world watched Kobayashi’s first win in 2001 as he downed 50 hot dogs and buns, destroying the old record of 25.5.
2011 saw the inauguration of Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest for Women. Previously, men and women had competed against each other with the exception of an all-women Memorial Day competition in 1975. Sonya Thomas became the first winner of this competition, putting away 40 hot dogs and buns in 10 minutes and walking away with a prize of $10,000.
Over the years, awards and prizes for this competition have varied. Nowadays, the winner of the men’s division is awarded the coveted international mustard-yellow belt, while the winner of the women’s division is awarded a bejeweled pink belt. The belts stay in possession of the current champions.
Let’s Take a Look at the Reigning Champions

Joey Chestnut
Joey is an American competitive eater who currently resides in San Jose, California. Standing at 6’1” and weighing 220 pounds, Chestnut has won Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest every year since 2007, with the exception of 2015 where he was defeated by Matt Stonie, a then-23-year-old competitive eater and YouTuber from San Jose, California.
Chestnut’s initial win at the 92nd Annual Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest in 2007 was against six-time defending champion Takeru Kobayashi. Chestnut ate 66 hot dogs and buns in 12 minutes, a new world record.
Joey Chestnut’s accomplishments in the field of competitive eating and the world records he holds could be a separate article that would go on for pages and pages.
As of 2020, Chestnut’s 13 victories at the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest make him the “winningest” athlete of a single event in modern history. This places him over wins for Bill Russell in the NBA, Henri Richard in the NHL, and Yogi Berra in the MLB.
Miki Sudo
Miki is an American competitive eater who currently resides in Connecticut but was born in New York, New York. She is a seven-time consecutive winner of the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest from 2014 to 2020.
In her first win, she unseated Sonya Thomas, who had been the previous winner since the inception of the women’s competition in 2011.
Much like Joey Chestnut, Sudo is the winner of many eating competitions including the U.S. National Buffalo Wing Competition, World Kimchi Competition, and Chicago’s RIBMANIA.
She is ranked 5th in the world with the Major Eating League and holds the women’s world record in eating kimchi, ice cream, and, obviously, hot dogs. Her record is quite impressive and would take considerable time to discuss in detail.
Why Should I Bet on the 2021 Nathan’s Contest?
You might be asking yourself, “Why should I bet on this event?” One of the best reasons I can give, especially in the men’s division, is Joey Chestnut’s record.
He has won 13 near-consecutive Nathan’s competitions since 2007 with exception of his 2015 defeat by Matt Stonie. Chestnut is an almost unstoppable force and the odds for his victory this year remain super high.
Likewise, Miki Sudo has an impressive record in the Nathan’s Contest. She is the seven-time champion from 2014 to 2020. She defeated Sonya Thomas in 2014 who had been the three-time winner of the women’s division since 2011.
These contenders have had long-standing reputations of being fun to watch. This event is not only exciting, but also, there’s an entire list of bets for you to wager on.
What Are the Odds?
For betting on the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest this year, you’ll find Joey Chestnut’s odds to win at (-120), with the over/under being 74.5 hot dogs and buns consumed. Likewise, Miki Sudo’s odds to win the 2021 Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest are at (-120) but in her case, the over/under is at 45.5 hot dogs and buns consumed.
The odds for both competitors are even as far as over/unders. The odds for Chestnut to consume over 74.5 hot dogs are the same for him consuming under 74.5. Likewise, the odds are the same for Sudo consuming over and under 45.5.
As far as betting is concerned for over/under odds, this is a “pick ‘em bet.” It could go either way for Chestnut and Sudo. One might break their previous record, while the other won’t. Both could break their old records or they could both fall short. It really is up in the air for this element of the competition.
Betting Predictions for the 2021 Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest
My personal prediction is that Joey Chestnut and Miki Sudo will successfully retain their respective mustard-yellow and pink belts at this year’s contest.
Having the advantage of winning the contest for multiple consecutive years, Chestnut and Sudo should reign victorious on Independence Day 2021.
It would be a huge feat to overcome the incumbent champions, but I suppose it’s not impossible. Who knows? Bodog fight wiki fandom.
Hot Dog Eating Contest
Maybe Matt Stonie could make a comeback this year against Chestnut and win by the skin of his teeth. Maybe Sonya Thomas could somehow ascend back to the heights of her three-year champion reign and score a victory over Sudo.
Hot Dog Eating Contest Record
At the end of the day, it is highly unlikely; it’s simply wishful thinking. I personally see Chestnut and Sudo absolutely destroying the competition this year.
Hot Dog Eating Contest Winner
As far as betting on Chestnut and Sudo to improve or fall short of their previous records, I would use your best judgment and proceed with caution as the odds are 50/50; it is anyone’s guess as to whether they can improve on their records from the previous year.
However, I would strongly recommend with confidence to bet on our incumbent champions to place first in their respective divisions at this year’s Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest.

The Match-Play Coupon Circuit
Part V
Some of the match-plays mentioned in this article may no longer be offered or as widely available as they were back when I took part in this week-long adventure.Casinos are constantly tinkering with various types of coupons in their bid to draw customers to their establishments. As business ebbs and flows, some places cut back on their “come-on’s”, while others increase them.
Day Three Begins
I still had $100 worth of food credit at NYNY so I used all of it for an impromptu meeting of my LV-posse (otherwise known as “the usual suspects”, see Mad Professor's Dictionaryfor the lowdown on this bunch of choirboys).
How many times did el chapo escape from prison. I chose a 24/7 restaurant called “America”.That’s the one with a 90-foot by 20-foot three-dimensional scale-model map of the United States wedged into the dining area, which is complete with mountains, rivers and major landmarks. It’s mounted at an obtuse angle and suspended from the ceiling by thin cables. There are all the usual points of interest with scale-models of stuff like an oil-rig perched over what would approximately be Buckshot Creek, Texas, and an armadillo squatting on the outskirts of Tucumcari, New Mexico, and a McIlhenny hot pepper squarely on top of the people who receive their mail in Natchitoches, Louisiana. It makes for an interesting diversion if your table-mates are less than conversationally-inspiring.
When the Manhattan Express roller-coaster thunders by upstairs, you can feel the vibrations transmitted through the cables, then pulse and tremble into the actual mega-sized object ‘d art. That’s a good enough reason for me NOT to dine under it.In any event, they had part of the restaurant cordoned off while they were making some minor alterations to it and the over-sized Road Trip postcards that adorn the walls.Maybe they were making room for a scale-model, snowbound, burnt-out building to represent Buffalo, New York. Now THAT would make it look authentic.
After a heapin’ helpin’ of Virginia Ham, Huevos Rancheros, corned beef hash and rocket fuel (coffee), it was time to return to the hardworking life of a wanna-be match-play coupon pro.
Realizations and Revelations
Even though I was only into the third day of this weeklong experiment, I had already had made up my mind about a couple of things:
ØCollecting, sorting and redeeming match-plays is a LOT harder than it first appears.
ØThe amount of time that you have to spend seeking and redeeming, does not balance-off against the time that you actually spend at the table.
ØRoughly speaking, I would say that 80% of the time is spent seeking, finding, sorting, driving, parking, validating, cashing out, and moving on to your next destination.
ØLess than 20% of your time is actually spent at the craps table. This 80%/20% imbalance is the opposite of using Precision-Shooting to make a far more decent living. In that case, 80% to 85% of your playing-time is actually spent PLAYING, while the 15% to 20% balance is for cashing-out and travel time between target-casinos.
ØI gained a newfound respect for the people who actually do this for a living. It takes patience, discipline, stamina and a LOT of chutzpah. For those that play the match-play coupon-circuit full-time, it really is A JOB!
With that in mind, let me present one of those who actually does this for a living.
Introducing The Coupon-Rustler
I suppose I should call him MISTER Coupon-Rustler because this guy is GREAT at what he does.As I mentioned in Part I of this series, Mr. Rustler makes a decent living by using Match-Play coupons and Precision-Shooting to earn about $60 per hour during his “casino work day”.In actual fact, that $60 relates to his playing time at the tables. He spends considerably more time chasing down coupon leads and rustling up coupons from various sources around town.
He is originally from the great state of Texas, and will readily admit that he’s a bit of a zealot when it comes to getting as many Match-Play coupons as possible…and YES, he does this every single day of the week.
He describes himself not so much as a degenerate gambler, but as a walking beer-gut sandwiched between his big cowboy hat and his huge polished gold belt-buckle.To his explanation, there’s no such thing as “over-sized” in Texas. He happily brings that Texas-sized zeal, enthusiasm and ardor to the match-play circuit.
On the Surface
At first blush, he has an ideal job.
ØHe gets to live in a city with 320 days of sunshine. He doesn’t pay any state income tax, residential property tax is nil, and the cost-of-living in Nevada is relatively low.
ØHe doesn’t have a boss who nags him.He sets his own hours, his own schedule and his own time-off.
ØHe gets to eat free in any number of restaurants all over town. From an unlimited number of free buffets and steak dinners, all the way to Sinatra-style veal chops with pasta on the side, he can go without buying any food for months on end, and I can tell you that this guy has NEVER missed a meal in his entire life.
ØHe gets to play various casino games, from craps and blackjack to roulette and Pai Gow, all the way to Video Poker and slot machines, along with a few of the hideous house-games like bingo and keno.In each one of those instances, he has AN ADVANTAGE over the casino.

ØHis “advantage” is gained either through match-plays, alternate-play certificates, free tokens, bonus-pays vouchers (like a free Ace or 2:1 Blackjack) or free game-plays (for slots, keno, sports bets, or bingo).
ØHe wakes up whenever he wants to, and he goes to bed whenever he feels like it.He can devote as much time to his pursuits, or take as many holidays as he wants or needs.
On the surface, most people wouldn’t call what he does as “work”.
Below the Surface
If you scratch a little bit below that surface, you will see a hardworking guy who needs to put in a certain amount of hours each week to make ends meet.
ØWhile he doesn’t have to worry about state tax or property tax, he does have to keep an accurate up-to-date gaming journal for Uncle Sam and the boys at the I.R.S.In it, he logs where he plays, when he plays, what he plays, how much he bets, how much he wins (or losses), the time of each transaction, the number of the gaming device (for a slot or video machine), or the pit-number and game-number of any table-game activity.
ØWhile he doesn’t have a boss, he has a much stricter taskmaster called “survival”.If he chooses not to play, then the money-flow stops. He has to maintain a discipline that will keep him in the game without exposing his precious bankroll to any undue risk.
ØWhile he does get to eat free at a large number of casino restaurants, he does admit to getting a bit bored with the various buffets and steak dinners day after day after day.On top of that, this guy likes to eat at least four, if not five, square meals a day.
ØGenerally he does not give any one particular casino enough play to garner better food comps, so he uses the free coupon offers to fuel his gaming lifestyle.Unfortunately that reduces the variety of places he gets to eat at, and the types of shows that he gets to see for free.
ØAlthough he gets to play a variety of casino games, the temptation to continue playing (once he has used up all of his match-plays) for one more hand, one more roll, or a few more spins is where he readily admits that he has frittered away countless thousands of dollars.
ØInstead of being satisfied in playing with a strong advantage over the house (from +12.3% for some bonus-pays to +49.3% for even-money match-plays, all the way up to a whopping +100% advantage for free games), he admits to often staying and playing long after he has exhausted the value of the coupons (and his advantage over the casino), in hopes of fattening his winnings.
ØHe agrees that maintaining discipline is a constant struggle for him on a daily basis, and that if he stuck to just playing in “advantage-mode”, he could reduce his work-day in half.
ØWhile he enjoys spending countless hours on the Coupon Circuit, he’ll also tell you quite candidly that he HAS TO.Since his discipline level is so low, he figures he needs to spend about 70 hours each week, instead of the 35+ hours that would give him just as good of a living.Still battling the discipline-monster after so many years clearly adds significantly to his on-the-job stress.
Mad Professor’s Definition of “Work”
To some people, 'work' is drudgery, and a sort of emancipated, but self-imposed slavery that we have to endure just to survive.I have a somewhat more progressive view of it, in that work can be viewed as a challenge in extending yourself beyond what you knew you could do or accomplish.
In a lot of ways, it all has to do with your outlook and attitude. To some, work is the hard slog they endure purely to put food on the table. While for others, it is the kind of thing we do because we like it, and are even drawn to.
Craps is my pursuit, my passion, and yes, by that definition, my work.So let’s get back to work on this one-week match-play endeavor.
A Typical Day with the Coupon-Rustler
Match-Plays & Funbook Flyers
Mr. Coupon-Rustler meets up with several “flyer-guys” every day.As you read in Part I of this series, they are posted at different spots around town where they hand out flyers that you can convert into funbooks or coupon-sheets.
The Coupon-Rustler knows their route, their favorite corners, and exactly where they will be there on any given day (since they change spots throughout the day and week). He’s on a first-name basis with all of them, and knows exactly how they like their coffee or what kind of soda they drink.
World cup betting lines. In fact, he knows precisely how all the women who work the Players Club booths, and Gift Shop coupon-verification counters in all of the casinos like their coffee (or tea or lemonade) as well.In doing so, he knows how to “oil” the match-play coupon-printing machine; and apparently it runs almost entirely on coffee! Therefore, he makes countless coffee-runs throughout the day right before meeting up with any them.
Where to Find the Flyer-Guys
Here’s where just a few of them stand:
ØIn the Neiman-Marcus and Ralph Lauren/Polo section of the Primm Fashion Outlet Mall, you can find the Buffalo Bills/Whiskey Pete’s/Primm Resort flyer-girl in front of the Escada and Lacoste stores.
ØThe Silverton flyer-guy hangs out in front of Emporia Limoni near the Off 5th-Saks Fifth Avenue Outletin the Annex-One section of the Belz Factory Mall.
ØYou’ll find a few flyer-guys for the Henderson casinos (Skyline, Barley’s, Magic Star, Joker’s Wild, Hyatt Lake Las Vegas, Gold Rush, Eldorado, etc.) near the trendy shops on old-town Water Street.
ØFor Sahara coupons, they usually stand at the McDonalds near the Stardust, and across from The Riviera.
Printable Casino Free Play Coupons
ØThe San Remo Hotel-Casino guy occasionally stands on the overhead walkway cattle-chute that connects NYNY, MGM Grand, and Tropicana.
ØThe Barbary Coast guy stands near the moving-sidewalk entrance in front of Ballys, or at the bottom of the escalator to the overhead walkway in front of Bellagio.
ØIf you are interested in Fitzgeralds Hotel-Casino match-plays, just look for “TALL” Elvis in his star-spangled banner jumpsuit. He usually has a handful of vouchers that will get you their time and play-activated fun-book.At other times, he is hawking the Las Vegas VISA credit-card and does not have funbooks or match-play vouchers on him.
Obviously the flyer-guys aren’t out 24-hours a day. Some are only out during the busy prime weekends, while others are only around during selected convention or special-event periods. However, it seems that the more “obscure” or smaller the casino is, the easier it is to find their match-play coupons. For example, finding vouchers for the Skyline or Opera House Casino is a lot easier that obtaining mp’s from Barbary Coast or Hyatt LLV.
Trading Coupons & Rumors
The Coupon-Rustler trades information, match-plays and buffet vouchers with other coupon-circuit players, and quickly follows up on rumors of where a new batch of chits may be available, or which casino has a new and attractive “advantage” offer.
These advantage offers can range from coupons for a 40 to 500-coin Video Poker bonus, to a 3-for-1 payout on any dealt blackjack for one hour.He was the one who provided the entrée into the informal coupon-swapping coffee-klatch meetings where, as the Coupon-Rustler explains, “coupons trade faster than shares on NASDAQ, andrumors fly higher than a double-wide trailer in a Texas tornado”.
The Brothel Trail Coupons
It was from one of those meetings that the Rustler said he had traded for quite a few coupons from the “Cathouse Alley” brothel trail in Armagosa Valley. That’s the home of legal brothels such as the Chicken Ranch, Sherri’s, Mabel’s Ranch/Madame Butterfly’s and the Cherry Patch.
I suspected that he himself was the actual “frequent-flyer” who had garnered them, and he was just too self-conscious to admit it.I’m willing to bet that he’s on a first-name basis with more than a couple of their “ladies” in the same way he is with the Players Club booth-matrons.
Now, every time that I pass by “Cathouse Alley” on my way up to shoot the sand dunes in Armagosa, I wryly keep an eye out for the Coupon-Rustlers nearly-new Ford Expedition-Eddie Bauer that hauls his ass hither and yon around the Clark County GMA.
Gaming Lessons and Free Match-Plays
Las Vegas Casino Match Play Coupons
The Coupon-Rustler said, “Hey, let’s take some gaming lessons.”I replied that I knew how to play every casino game known to man or beast, and I really didn’t need a refresher course. He said that that wasn’t the point, and that getting MORE match-play coupons was.
With that in mind, he rhymed off a number of casinos that not only offer gaming lessons for their neophyte players, but also give away match-play coupons at some of their sessions.
Before I could say anything, he added that he took gaming lessons nearly every day of the week.I asked if they objected to him doing that, and he replied that most of them didn’t mind, especially at a few of the bigger Strip casinos that still offer lessons AND match-plays at the end of the lessons. He claimed that he only got backed-off once, and that was by none other than acclaimed gaming-author/retired gaming instructor Barney Vinson at Caesars Palace.
If you are looking for any of Barney’s well-written books, you can find them here through Irishsetters excellent website. The Coupon-Rustler said that Barney joked with him about his money-making, voucher-swooping efforts for a couple of months, but when another suit caught on to what the Rustler was up to, they politely but firmly told him that he was taking up valuable space and wasn’t welcome anymore. He added, “That’s okay…they cut out the free lessons at CP anyway, but I hope Barney mentions me in his next book”.
In any event, we attended the free lessons at the Imperial Palace, Tropicana, Aladdin, and LV Hilton. I took the meager coupons that they handed out, but I felt somewhat sheepish and self-conscious about doing so.
Ice-Cream Socials and Horny Seniors
Las Vegas Casino Match Play Coupons
As I mentioned before, I visited the Westward Ho Casino-Motel on Day Two with the intention of meeting up with an mp coupon-pro, but he was a no-show.Day Three brought better luck with our scheduling.
You won’t find too many pretty young things at this motel. If you are looking for the kind of girl that puts the “ho” in hoedown, you’ll probably have to find her elsewhere. The closest you will come to a party-girl is seeing a divorced Soccer Mom who has had a few too many free margueritas, and is on her way back to Circus Circus to reclaim her three kids from their All-day Pass escapades at C-2’s Grand Slam Canyon Adventurezone.
The girls at the ‘Ho are more like Golden Girls of the blue-rinse set sitting in God’s waiting-room (the Keno Lounge) than it is party-central.A number of them with names like Myrna, Betty and Norma immediately recognize the Rustler upon his approach, and group around him like lovelorn, hormones-on-a-rampage teenagers.
If you attend one of Westward Ho’s free 45-minute slide-show orientation-nights (in Chicago, Cleveland, Dallas, Detroit, Flint, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Houston, San Antonio, St. Louis, Buffalo, Cedar Rapids, or Des Moines) you get three free nights, super-discounted airfare (about 50% to 80% off economy rates), and a book full of coupons including several free meals and a healthy number of match-plays that are useable at their craps table.
The Coupon-Rustler lives right in town, but it didn’t take long for me to figure out how he managed to end up with the thick piles of ‘Ho mp’s.He goes to Westward Ho’s free “Ice-Cream Social” that is held every afternoon. This is a gratis ice-cream and cookies get-together that they have for any guests, casino patrons or passers-by who want to join in.
Everyone is invited to wear one of those adhesive-backed paper nametags that say’s, “Hi, My Name is_______”.The only problem is that everyone seems to have trouble reading each other nametag, so there is a lot of heads dipping towards stranger’s chests to try to decipher your newfound friends name.Suffice it to say that the Mad Professor does NOT wear a nametag at events like this.
The Coupon-Rustler comes to these proceedings loaded down with 2-for-1 buffet coupons, free show tickets to Rick Thomas, etc. and asks if anyone wants to trade their Match-Play coupons with him.Within seconds, he is literally surrounded with folks who willingly give up their mp’s in favor of free food, free fanny packs, baseball caps, bingo cards, show tickets, and keno plays.
He’s very generous in giving away his coupons, especially the free admissions to the Gamblers Hall of Fame at the Trop and the Imperial Palace Car Collection. He comes away with a sizeable stack of match-plays from slot-mavens who wouldn’t even consider approaching a table-game, let alone play at one. He’s actually got his own fan-club of seniors who return time and time again to the Ho, and look forward to dealing with this coupon-rustling charmer who carries out this same maneuver at least three or four times a week.He is ALWAYS there on the major “check-in days” of Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday.
On a good day, he mentioned that he’ll pull in 30 to 40 mp’s, while an average day will yield about 15 to 20 coupons.Since the Pit Bulls won’t let him use all of those vouchers, he sells and trades the excess ones to like-minded pals.
I admired that the Coupon-Rustler treated all of his retiree “buddies”, with respect, dignity and a healthy dose of laughter.
One More Song Before I Go
After the ice-cream kisses were washed off, we ended up playing at a number of additional mp’s target casinos, before I headed off on my own to cover all of the downtown casinos once again.
I was getting a bit tired after the Casino Center run, but I still had a pile of coupons from places that I hadn’t yet even been near on this tour. So I dedicated the latter part of the evening and very early morning hours to hitting as many of them as I could. The object of course, was to unload and redeem as many match-plays as I could.
I put a few miles on the chariot in doing so, but due to the late hour (and the fact that they usually recognize the car), I was able to get the valet guys to keep it nearby in the VIP/No-Wait area at all of the places where I stopped.
Casino Match Play Coupons
I managed to get to Arizona Charlie’s-Decatur, Jerry’s Nugget (to check the validity of, but not play, some $5 blackjack matchplays), Cannery, Santa Fe Station, Texas Station, Fiesta-Rancho, and Barcelona (again, to check the validity of a couple of coupons), thenThe Palms (to check-in, but not stay; so that I could redeem a $50 cash-voucher and to validate two corresponding match-plays of equal value), before finally heading back to NYNY to hit the spa for some much needed rest and relaxation.Day Three was finished and Day Four was already here, but I required some much needed sleep before I made any attempt at tackling the Circuit on D-4.
Good Luck and Good Skill at the tables…and in Life.
Sincerely,

Bookies Commission
Top ten best BOOKIES to bet online in the UK.All bookies listed in our comparison tables are of good reputation and financial standing. All fixed odds book. This isn’t necessarily a fixed commission on each bet but rather it is calculated as an overall margin taking into account all the possible bets for a given event, known as a book. If a bookmaker balances a book and takes equal proportions of bets on all outcomes, then whatever the result there will be a profit made by the bookmaker.
Bookmakers on a greyhound race course, Reading, Berkshire
A bookmaker, bookie, or turf accountant is an organization or a person that accepts and pays off bets on sporting and other events at agreed-upon odds.
History(edit)
The first bookmaker, Ogden, stood at Newmarket in 1795.(1)
Range of events(edit)
Bookmakers in many countries focus on accepting bets on professional sports, especially horse racing and association football (soccer). However, a wider range of bets, including on political elections, awards ceremonies such as the Oscars, and novelty bets are accepted by bookmakers in some countries.
Operational procedures(edit)
By 'adjusting the odds' in their favour (paying out amounts using odds that are less than what they determined to be the true odds) or by having a point spread, bookmakers aim to guarantee a profit by achieving a 'balanced book', either by getting an equal number of bets for each possible outcome or (when they are offering odds) by getting the amounts wagered on each outcome to reflect the odds.(2) When a large bet comes in, a bookmaker may also try to lay off the risk by buying bets from other bookmakers. Bookmakers do not generally attempt to make money from the bets themselves but rather by acting as market makers and profiting from the event regardless of the outcome. Their working methods are similar to those of an actuary, who does a similar balancing of financial outcomes of events for the assurance and insurance industries.
Legality(edit)

Depending on the country, bookmaking may be legal or illegal and is often regulated. In the United Kingdom, since 1 May 1961, bookmaking has been legal and has even been a small contributor to the British economy, with a recent explosion of interest with regard to the international gaming sector industry. However, gambling debts were unenforceable under British law until the Gambling Act 2005. Many bookmakers are members of IBAS, an industry organisation used to settle disputes.
Bookmaking is generally illegal in the United States, with Nevada being an exception due to the influence of Las Vegas. In May 2018, a United States Supreme Court ruling struck down the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act of 1992, which prevented individual states from legalizing bookmaking.
In some countries, such as Singapore, Sweden, Canada, and Japan, the only legal bookmaker is owned and operated by the state. In Canada, this is part of the lottery programme and is known as Sport Select.
United Kingdom gambling industry(edit)
The first bookmaker in the United Kingdom is considered to be Harry Ogden, who opened a business in the 1790s, although similar activities had existed in other forms earlier in the eighteenth century.(3)(4)
Following the Gaming Act 1845, the only gambling allowed in the United Kingdom was at race tracks. The introduction of special excursion trains meant that all classes of society could attend the new racecourses opening across the country. Cash flowed to the bookmakers who employed bodyguards against protection gangs operating within the vast crowds.(5) Illegal betting shops were fined, but some, like Bella Thomasson, ran betting businesses that the police appeared to turn a blind eye to.(6)
In 1961, Harold Macmillan's Conservative government legalised betting shops, with tough measures enacted to ensure that bookmakers remained honest. A large industry has grown since. At one time, there were over 15,000 betting shops. Now, through consolidation, they have been reduced to between 9,100 and 9,200 in 2013.(7) The group of the largest bookmakers in the country, known as the 'Big Three', comprises William Hill, Ladbrokes, and Coral.(8)
Improved TV coverage and the modernisation of the law have allowed betting in shops and casinos in most countries. In the UK, on-track bookies still mark up the odds on boards beside the race course and use tic-tac or mobile telephones to communicate the odds between their staff and to other bookies, but, with the modernisation of United Kingdom bookmaking laws, online and high street gambling are at an all-time high. A so-called super-casino had been planned for construction in Manchester, but the government announced that this plan had been scrapped on 26 February 2008.
Internet gambling(edit)
Although online gambling first started in 1994 when the licensing authority of Antigua and Barbuda passed the Free Trade & Processes Act, bookmakers did not get involved until 2001. They were forced to act when research at the time found there were eight million online players worldwide.(9)Football world cup betting odds.
With the arrival of the World Wide Web, many bookmakers have an online brand, but independently owned bookmakers often still maintain a 'bricks and mortar' only operation as the software and hardware required to operate a successful online betting operation are complex and their costs are quite prohibitive; other bookmakers operate 'skins' or 'white label' websites, which they purchase from one of the large firms. The main websites require bets to be from countries where Internet gambling is allowed and from people over 18 years old. Some small bookmakers and startups purchase software from specialised white label solution providers. Since gambling products have a high conversion rate from one niche to another, most online betting websites also feature other gambling products such as poker, live dealer casino games, lottery, bingo, slots and other casino games. Controversially, the explosion in Internet gambling is being linked to a rise in gambling addiction, according to the UK's help and advice organisations for addicts, GamCare and Gamblers Anonymous.
Increasingly, online bettors are turning to the use of betting exchanges such as Betfair and BETDAQ, which automatically match back and lay bets between different bettors, thus effectively cutting out the bookmaker's traditional profit margin also called an overround.
These online exchange markets operate a market index of prices near but usually not at 100% competitiveness, as exchanges take commissions on winnings. True wholesale odds are odds that operate at 100% of probabilistic outcomes.
Betting exchanges compete with the traditional bookmaker. They are generally able to offer punters better odds because of their much lower overheads but also give opportunities for arbitrage, the practice of taking advantage of a price differential between two or more markets. However, traditionally, arbitrage has always been possible by backing all outcomes with bookmakers (dutching), as opposed to laying an outcome on an exchange. Exchanges, however, allow bookmakers to see the state of the market and set their odds accordingly.
With the increasing number of online betting exchanges, betting exchanges are now providing free bet offers in an attempt to lure customers away from the competition. These free bets are generally based on the size of the deposit made into the gambling account. For example, if a customer made a deposit of $20, the betting exchange would deposit an additional $20 for the customer to use.(10) Free bet rules vary depending on the betting exchange.
Some bookmakers have even taken to using betting exchanges as a way of laying off unfavourable bets and thus reducing their overall exposure. This has led to insecurity from some TABs in Australia, state-run betting agencies that attempted to deny Betfair an Australian licence by running unfavourable ads in the media regarding the company. When Tasmania granted Betfair a licence despite these efforts, the Western Australian state legislature passed a law that specifically criminalised using betting exchanges from within the state; however, the law was later ruled to be unconstitutional. As a result, internet gambling in Australia required a new legal framework. The Interactive Gambling Act 2001 regulates the online gambling market in Australia, together with all its amendments. The last amendment was introduced on 13 September 2017. Bodog fight wiki game. This bill states that online casinos, online poker and live betting is illegal in Australia. The Australian Communication and Media Authority (ACMA) is the regulatory body that is in charge of all supervising online gambling activities. Online sports betting is legal, however.(11)
Bets are also taken via phones, using email and SMS text messages,(12) though poker and other sports are more suited to other media. As technology moves on, the gambling world ensures it is a major player in new technology operations.
Most televised sports in the United Kingdom and the rest of Europe are now sponsored wholly or partly by Internet and high street bookmakers, with sometimes several bookmakers and online casinos being displayed on players' shirts, advertising hoardings, stadium signs and competition event titles. Sponsors are especially highlighted in the football category since football fans present a significant percentage of the target group the bookmakers serve.
Many of the bookmakers are sponsoring some of the major football teams in the major European football leagues,(13) although Werder Bremen are currently fighting the German courts for the freedom to continue featuring bookmaker Bwin on their shirts, as Germany and France take action against online gamers. For example, as of 1 January 2020, Germany bettors will not be able to bet more than €1,000 a month. The latest amendment of the ITG states that. New online sportsbook laws are expected in the near future in Germany, as this law is only temporary: the expiration date is set to be on 20 June 2020.(14)
The situation is not that strict in France, however. Online sports betting in France is divided into two sections: Autorité de Régulation des Jeux en Ligne (ARJEL) regulates online sports betting, while online horse betting is regulated by the law 'Decree 2010-498 from 17 May 2010. International bookmakers are allowed to enter the French market, thanks to the Law No. 2010-476 from 12 May 2010.(15)(16)
Bookmakers Commission
With the recent banning of tobacco sponsorship(17) and the significant commercial budgets available to the gaming industry, sponsorship by car manufacturers, alcoholic drinks, soft drinks and fast-food marketers is being rapidly replaced by sponsorship from gaming companies in the Far East and Europe.
Does Bet365 Take Commission
The United Kingdom's Gambling Act 2005 introduced a new regulatory system for governing gambling in Great Britain. This system includes new provisions for regulating the advertising of gambling products. These provisions of the Act came into effect in September 2007. It is an offence to advertise in the UK, gambling that physically takes place in a non-European Economic Area (EEA) or, in the case of gambling by remote means, gambling that is not regulated by the gambling laws of an EEA state. The Gambling Commission is the body that makes sure all sites and operators follow the new restrictions. In addition to the Gambling Act of 2005, according to the new gambling bill, online gambling sites are only allowed to offer services within the United Kingdom, if they are registered at the UK Gambling Commission.(18)
The situation is more confused in the United States, which has attempted to restrict operators of foreign gambling websites accessing their domestic market. This resulted in 2007 in a ruling against the US government by the World Trade Organization.(19) However, common online gambling laws in the United States still don't exist - it differs from state to state. All forms of online gambling are illegal within the states of Utah and Hawaii, while the states of Delaware, Pennsylvania and New Jersey took a different approach: almost all forms of online gambling are legal in these states. These are the only US states where online casino sites can be legally registered. It is important to mention that Native Americans have their own gambling legislation - the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act of 1988. However, they need their state's approval in order to be able to offer their services online.(20)

Discreetness the Secret Choice in Rebel Stakes 2016: Better stay quiet on this selection, because Discreetness will offer value on Saturday in the Rebel Stakes (GII) at Oaklawn Park. While he finished seventh in the Southwest Stakes (GIII) last month, the connections are not discouraged and he presses on towards the May 7 Kentucky Derby (GI) in this prep race.
Trained by William Fires and ridden by Jon Court, Discreetness has compiled a 3 for 5 record on dirt. Xpress Thoroughbreds owns the son of Discreet Cat. Fires believes a wide trip cost his colt last time.
“Bad trip,” Fires said, as seen in the Oaklawn Barn Notes. “He was outside all the way. Ran a sixteenth a mile farther than anybody.”
Rebel Stakes 2020
Indeed, the jockey seemed content to let the wide trip happen. Rather than go for a more aggressive strategy of laying close, or falling back behind the crowd, Discreetness broke from the 14th post position and stayed around the outside path approaching the first turn. At least six horses were inside him on the actual turn.
He continued to race wide throughout the early portion of the race and began to move nearing the second turn. Once he hit fifth place though, Discreetness’ rally hit a roadblock and he could not sustain the run.
Luna de Loco, who also ran wide around the first turn and ended up floundering, returned to win an local optional claiming race over a decent field which included the notable Rated R Superstar. Discreetness deserves the benefit of the doubt and might be able to turn the tables with a more inside post.
Besides Discreetness, a couple of horses can win the Rebel.
Starting from the rail, Creator comes into the race off a seven-length win in a local maiden race. The Tapit colt is trained by Steve Asmussen and owned by WinStar Farm. Jockey Ricardo Santana takes the mount again.
Next to him, Ralis makes his return after finishing 14th in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile (GI). Whenever a Doug O’Neil-trained horse owned by Reddam Racing shows up, the public tends to overbet the horse. The switch from the outstanding Javier Castellano to Mario Gutierrez fails to make the contender appealing.
One spot right, Cupid makes the trip to Oaklawn for trainer Bob Baffert. Betting on womens world cup. He broke his maiden by over five lengths at Santa Anita Park in his initial route attempt. The connections paid a high price for this $900,000 son of Tapit.
A bit further out in the seventh slot, Creator’s stablemate Madtap goes for his third win out of six tries, as he tries to build on his six-length victory in a local optional claimer.
In the eighth post position, American Dubai attempts to keep the momentum going after a solid third in the Southwest. He endured the pace and kept on going, while Suddenbreakingnews and Whitmore took advantage.
Whitmore, unfortunately for supporters, draws the 12th post position this time. He began from the second slot in the Southwest. Physically, he still gives the appearance of a horse more suited for sprinting.

To the right, Cherry Wine will need to overcome a wide trip as well. In January, the Dale Romans-trained runner won an optional claiming race at Gulfstream Park by six lengths.
Suddenbreakingnews starts from far outside. Jockey Luis Quinonez chose to take back in the Southwest, which allowed his mount to save ground (at least compared to Discreetness). The same strategy appears likely.
Obviously, there are not many wrong choices in the Rebel. In a large field without a huge superstar, it is a good idea to support a horse who offers value because the favorites are not a whole lot more talented. Discreetness, despite possessing the same ability as Suddenbreakingnews, will offer value and should be used in tickets.

Women's World Cup 2019 Betting Bettors don’t have to wait long as the 8th edition of the FIFA Women’s World Cup for 2019 kicks off on the 7th of June and will conclude on the 7th of July. Across all 24 teams, heavy favourites Team USA will be looking to defend their title against hosts France, but also other teams such as betting favourites Germany and England. If you paid any attention to Women’s World Cup betting, you’d know that the US women were the betting favorites in 2019 and they continued to win the title. In all likelihood, the US women are your best betting future pick to take the Women’s World Cup title in 2023 again. The 2019 Women’s World Cup kicks off this Friday, June 7th. I will be focusing on the Women’s World Cup for the next month and will be providing betting tips on a daily basis. I’ll also be looking at what’s going on elsewhere so it may not be JUST Women’s World Cup tips I am providing.
The US Women’s National Team (USWNT)won a grueling, physical, sloppy game against Spain 2-1 on Monday in the 2019 Women’s World Cup. How to bet on march madness games.
While it’s not uncommon for any championship-caliber team to see challenges along the way to a title, this was a surprisingly disjointed and nervy performance by the Americans.
Regardless, going into their highly anticipated quarterfinal match against France on Friday, the US not only remain World Cup favorites, their title odds continue to improve.
USWNT nearing even odds
Heading into the World Cup, the US and France were co-favorites on most betting sites, priced around +350.
That all changed after the US throttled Thailand 13-0.
The price on the US continues to fall, dropping to +275, then +175, and now settling around +140.
France, meanwhile, has crept up to +370 at FanDuel Sportsbook.
Here’s a look at the futures odds for the remaining teams heading into Tuesday.
TeamDraftKings SportsbookFanDuel SportsbookUSA+150+140France+350+370Germany+500+470England+750+650Netherlands+1200+1200Sweden+1900+1800Norway+2300+2300Japan+3500+3600Italy+4000+4400China+10000+8500
A case for France
Host-nation France plays the US on Friday. The US is -167 to France’s +134 to move on to the semifinals at DraftKings Sportsbook. That gives the US implied odds of better than 60% to win. FiveThirtyEight’sprobability algorithm sees this as closer, only giving the US a 54% chance of advancing.
While France played 30 minutes of extra time to get by Brazil in the Round of 16, they have five full days of rest before facing the US. They’re the host nation and will have the entire country behind them. They also blew the US off the field 3-0 back in January. France has the athletes to match the US stride for stride. If (and it’s not a huge “if”) France wins, they’ll be prohibitive favorites moving forward. If you like them, get that +400 now.
A case for England and Germany

I’ve felt England is the not-so-darkhorse to win this World Cup for months. They drew the US at the SheBelieves Cup in March and looked like the better team.
Their implied odds to advance to the semis (-164 / 62%) are the same as the US vs France. However their FiveThirtyEight probability to defeat Norway in the quarters is far better at 69%. If England get by Norway, expect them to get by France, who have by far the toughest bracket of any team in the World Cup.
If England does that, they’ll most likely face Germany in the finals.
The Germans are odds-on favorites to get past Sweden in the quarters and have the third-best probability as of now to win it all according to FiveThirtyEight. How many times did el chapo escape from prison.
They’re also on a significantly easier side of the bracket — their first genuine test may not come until the finals. That +500 continues to look like a bargain for a German team that have gotten the right breaks along the way.

2019 Women’s World Cup Guide
Ahead of the 2019 Women’s World Cup in June, we bring fans the ultimate guide surrounding the biggest tournament of the year. A year on from the men’s edition of the tournament in Russia, France will act as the home nation this time around, with the event set to take place between June 7th and July 7th, meaning that a month’s worth of high-quality action is available to both fans and betting customers.
France will host the women’s World Cup for the first time, while it will be the third time in which the tournament has been staged in Europe. In total, 24 nations help to make up the competition, including some of the most successful teams in the game. The USA come into the tournament as the defending champions, as they search for a record fourth World Cup victory. The Groupama Stadium is one of nine stadiums staging matches this summer, with others including the Parc des Princes, Allianz Riviera and Stade Auguste-Delaune.

24 teams will battle it out in France this summer, with the structure of the tournament meaning that six groups of four teams are found. 2019 Women’s World Cup Favourites
Unsurprisingly, defending champions United States are one of the frontrunners once again this summer, as they search for an unprecedented fourth World Cup success. The No.1 world ranked side have the likes of Alex Morgan, Tobin Heath and Megan Rapinoe in their ranks, making them more than a match for any nation in which they will come up against. Meanwhile, Carli Lloyd will make her final international appearance during the tournament, with the midfielder set to turn 37 just two days before the final takes place.
World Cup Betting Odds
Elsewhere, the host nation is normally a threat at any tournament, with France being expected to make it through to the latter stages in front of their home fans. With the men’s team having come out on top in Russia last year, a repeat performance this summer would not come as a surprise, however their best ever performance in a World Cup came back in 2011 when they finished in fourth place.

2016 Olympic gold medallists Germany were defeated by the United States at the semi-final stage four yeas ago and will be hoping to go at least one better this time around. Despite having lost to both France and the US at the recent SheBelieves Cup, Germany are a team who have the ability to defeat anyone on their day. Meanwhile, 2011 winners and 2015 runners-up Japan are undoubtedly one of the most consistent teams in the women’s game, with their showdown with England in Group D already having a lot of people talking. As for the Lionesses themselves, having won the SheBelieves Cup last year, the likes of Toni Duggan, Fran Kirby and the experienced Jill Scott will be looking to fire them to a first ever World Cup success.
Standout Players
The 2019 Women’s World Cup in France will be jam-packed full of quality players, however there are certainly some individuals that fans get fans off the edge of their seat when taking to the pitch. The following are our ones to watch in France this summer.
Megan Rapinoe – The United States are able to call upon the services the skill and experience of forward Megan Rapinoe in France this summer, with the 33-year-old having scored 44 international goals since her debut back in 2006. Rapinoe is hugely creative in front of goal, with her talent having seen her finish fourth for the 2018 Best Women’s Player Award.
Sam Kerr – Australian attacker Sam Kerr is regarded by many as the best player in the world at present, having scored a massive 29 goals for club and country in 2018. The Chicago Red Stars star is now set to step up the biggest stage of all for the Matildas, which could be bad news for the rest of the competing nations.

Betting On Women's World Cup
Marta – Brazilian legend Marta is perhaps the best-known player in the women’s game, with the 33-year-old having six World Player of the Year Awards to her name, along with 12 top 3 finishes. In what could well be her final World Cup, the forward has scored 110 international goals in just 133 appearances.
Rule Changes
Betting On Women's World Cup 2022
In terms of rule changes surrounding the upcoming Women’s World Cup, the standout headline is the introduction of the Video Assistant Referee, commonly known as VAR. The system will be used for the first time, with VAR being found at all nine stadiums in France. All officials, including referees and assistants, underwent VAR training in Qatar in February, however it remains to be seen as to how efficient it will be this summer.
Meanwhile, the following laws have been updated recently, which will take effect from the 1st June 2019, just in time for the World Cup:
If the ball finds the net via a handball by an attacking player, the goal will not stand even if the handball was accidental.
Players being substituted will no longer need to come to the halfway line to be replaced, instead leaving the field at the nearest possible point in order to stop time-wasting.
At free-kicks, attacking players are no longer allowed to stand in a defensive wall.
Coaches can now, like players, receive yellow and red cards for misconduct.
2019 Women’s World Cup Prize Money
While the prize money on offer to teams in France this summer has been increased since 2015, the total pot still sits way behind the men’s equivalent. Competing nations in France are able to earn double the amount that was on offer four years ago, with the purse totalling over $30 million. As well as this, there will also be an additional $20 million available to teams when it comes to covering travel and training costs, along with compensation to those clubs whose players are involved in France. The 2019 Women’s World Cup winner will receive $4 million in prize money, which is more than twice what the United States received in Canada in 2015.

Macau Poker Cash Games
Macau Casino's mission is to provide you with the most fun and excitement while helping you win the biggest jackpots out there! Thanks to our extensive selection of games in our online casino, everyone will find their favourite game. Games: The Wynn poker room in Macau offers cash games and tournament play. For the ring game players, you will find no limit Texas holdem at medium and high stakes as well as pot limit Omaha. The game with the most played games is HK $50/$100 (about $7.50/$15). How many times did el chapo escape from prison. This usually gets 2-4 games alongside 1 HK $25/50 game and a couple of bigger games ranging from HK $100/$200 up to HK. The only decent place for cash games is at Wynn Macau. And even there, players are dwindling. Unlike several years ago where you'll have to wait for hours after putting your name on the waiting list. 'Despite the light turnout at the Asian Poker Tour Macau the cash games are some of the biggest in history as Tom Dwan, Phil Ivey, Chau Giang, and John Juanda are playing HK$5,000-10,000 with some Chinese businessmen. The game plays much bigger and there was about 40 million on the table last night when I saw the game.
What does a tournament player do in between live stops? Ask our €10,300 High Roller field and the most common answer might be 'relax and play online'.
But what does a cash game player do when they need a break from the grind? For Team PokerStars Pro Jake Cody, the answer is head to a PokerStars live event.
Cody on Day 2 of the €10K
Cody rose to fame in tournament poker, becoming the youngest ever 'triple crown' winner in 2010-11 when he won an EPT, WPT and WSOP bracelet all by the age of 23. While success continued with a WSOP Europe Main Event final table and two further EPT final tables (bringing his career tournament winnings to $4.35 million), it's actually cash game poker which Cody now considers his bread and butter.
And if there's one place where Cody plies his trade the most, it's in the 'Vegas of the East'.

'Yeah, so I just lost 250K in a pot running ace-king into aces,' Cody tells PokerStars Blog on break from the €10K. Unfortunately for him, he'd just lost a hand that would have given him the chip lead.
'It was big blind against the cutoff, so pretty unavoidable. I've been so card dead as well, and it came king high.

'So I was down to 125K after that, and then I've won a couple of pots since then and I'm up to 280K now going back to a 5K big blind. So we're well in the mix, but not quite destroying the situation like I would be if I had 800K!'
Chip lead or no chip lead, Cody's a big fan of Barcelona. He shares the same sentiment that pretty much every poker visitor holds: it's pretty damn awesome here.
Barcelona beaches are..ace
'It's been great, yeah' he says. 'It's probably my favourite stop of the year actually, or at least top two or three. Because of where the casino's based, it's where all the hotels and bars are so it's super convenient and everyone has a good time here.'
This is purely a tournament and social stop for Cody though. You won't find him in the cash game area anytime this weekend.
'I generally don't mix in cash games when I come to these tournament stops; I kind of just play the Main Event and a High Roller and then see my friends,' he explains.
'And then when I'm away from these stops I just get my head down and put the hours in.'
Gambling in oklahoma.
The majority of those hours are being played in Macau, home of the biggest cash games in the world. Cody might not be mixing it up on those nosebleed tables with the likes of Tom Dwan and Phil Ivey, but for him it's still the best place for his cash game.
New Vlog!!!! City of Dreamshttps://t.co/7qzigQzrPX
— Jake Cody (@JakeCody) February 20, 2017
'I spend quite a bit of time there, yeah,' he says. 'But I play some in London too.'
'I've just mainly been playing some cash games at the (Macau) Wynn. I wanted to do it as a challenge really, because it's not like the games are really easy; some of the best players from both live and online go out there to play. It's enjoyable but difficult.
'The tournaments can be great value there though, particularly the high rollers.'
Speaking of which, there are several big events coming up in Macau over the coming months. First, there's the Macau Poker Cup (running now until September 10th, featuring the HK$10M-guaranteed Red Dragon Main Event and the HK$80K High Roller). Then there's the Asia Championship of Poker (Oct 13-29, featuring the HK$25M-guaranteed Main Event and the HK$250K High Roller).

For Cody, it almost sounds like tournaments over there are a way to blow off some steam away from the cash games.
How to bet on march madness games. 23 hours ago Bet on March Madness 2021 with a New Jersey-licensed Betting Site. When placing your bets on March Madness online in New Jersey, you must be sure to use a state-licensed, legal betting. Armed with a Strategy, you will still be needing a few top tips for betting on March Madness. When you bet on March Madness games, always pay attention to the efficiency, tempo, offense & defense levels of a team before you place your wager.
'You get a lot of people playing who have maybe never even played a tournament, so you can definitely get value!' he says.
'I played the Red Dragon earlier this year, I actually got 11th in the $10K (for HK$188,500). It was great, and because it's so far some of the European players might get a bit lazy and decide to skip it. So it makes it better if you want to put the effort in to go and play.'
Of course, there are still a few familiar faces out there.
'I think Martin Finger goes there quite a bit, Sergio Aido goes there quite a bit, and a few of the other Spanish guys,' Cody says.
Sergio Aido - Macau regular
We've heard rumours about the Macau cash games; that they're often run on a 'who you know' basis. We asked Cody how easy it is to get into the games.
'Sometimes you have to know the right people, and other times you can walk in and sit down like anywhere else,' he explains. 'But you kind of have to know what times the games start running. It's not like, super privative, but it can be quite secretive sometimes. It's good to know people basically, and I have some friends out there who play quite a lot.'

The World Championship of Online Poker is coming up in October, and no doubt you'll see Cody battling it out with the online tournament beasts for a WCOOP title. But don't expect to see him grinding the PokerStars online cash games soon.
Macau Live Poker Cash Games
Cody at his most comfortable
'I play online less these days,' he tells us. 'The cash games are quite a specific type of poker and all those guys have got it down, especially in medium to high stakes.
'Everyone's just so good. They've just studied 100 big blind poker so well, whereas live it gets a lot deeper a lot of the time, and I feel like that's less solved. So it's much better for me, I feel much more comfortable playing live for that reason.'

How To Bet On March Madness Games
The 2020-21 NCAA college basketball season tipped off on Nov. 25. That began a four-and-a-half month journey that will culminate with the 2021 Final Four. This year’s March Madness tournament will take place entirely in the state of Indiana due to COVID-19 precautions.
Our recommended betting site for Americans looking to bet on March Madness. A brief breakdown of the sports betting regulatory climate in Minnesota and Wisconsin. Examples of the March Madness bets you can make on individual games and futures. A 3 step guide you can follow to place your March Madness bets online. When you bet on March Madness games, always pay attention to the efficiency, tempo, offense & defense levels of a team before you place your wager. High ranking college basketball teams do not necessarily guarantee an excellent performance. Bet March Madness Games on the Moneyline Betting the moneyline is the easiest way to bet on March Madness. Placing a moneyline bet simply means betting on which team will win the game, just like. When to Bet March Madness. Breaking down the March Madness Tournament over 3 weekends. It can be hard to digest the entirety of the NCAA Tournament. Consider the NFL as a comparison. The regular season has 256 games spread over 17 weeks. March Madness, on the other hand, has 63 games over three weeks, not including the four play-in games. Live Betting on March Madness Another excellent March Madness betting option would be to engage in live wagers. As the name suggests, you can place your bets while the games are running.
Last season, the NCAA Tournament was canceled. It had survived World War II, Black Monday, and half a dozen virus outbreaks; but for the first time since 1939, the NCAA was without a true champion.
The cancelation of March Madness was not only a major blow to TV viewership and ticket sales, but it erased the biggest sports betting event of the year. The American Gambling Association (AGA) reported that $8.5 billion was bet on the 2019 March Madness tournament. According to Legal Sports Report, sports gambling in the US jumped an average of 6.8% through the beginning of 2020 following a swath of passed legislation decriminalizing sports gambling. Based on those numbers, it can be projected that the cancelation of the NCAA Tournament lost nearly $9.1 billion in bets.
With the last NCAA tournament game having taken place nearly two years ago, anticipation is huge for this year’s March Madness tourney. Here is a look at the National Title odds with the start of the Big Dance just a couple of weeks away.
March Madness futures odds
Operators will undoubtedly have a generous array of wagering options on each March Madness game, including moneyline bets, point-spread bets, over/under bets, parlay bets, prop bets, teasers and in-play bets.
Those wagering options will be made available soon. However, here are current futures odds for the top projected tournament participants in the 2020-21 season. Gonzaga was the top favorite entering the 2020-21 season at FanDuel Sportsbook with odds of +700. The Bulldogs remain the favorites with current odds of +250 to win it all at FD.
Here is a look at March Madness odds for 2021.

NCAA title odds: Futures report (March 8)
Baylor had been the co-favorite with Gonzaga at several books in the past few weeks but the Bears’ Feb. 27 loss at Kansas allowed Gonzaga to occupy the top spot at sportsbooks’ odds boards.
The Favorites
Gonzaga (+250): Gonzaga’s run over the past decade-plus has been remarkable. They haven’t lost double-digit games in a season since 2010-11 and are 24-0 this season thus far. They lead the nation in scoring (92.9 points per game; second place, Baylor) and scoring margin (+23.5 points per game). They’re also tops in field goal attempts per game and field goal percentage.
Baylor (+275): The Bears are making a difficult schedule look easy. They secured the regular season Big 12 championship after a year where the conference was at its best – fielding two top-10 teams and seven ranked teams. Baylor is second in points scored per game (85.3), first in 3-point percentage, and sixth in 3-point makes. They’re almost a lock for a top seed in the NCAA Tournament.
The Next Group
Michigan (+450): The Wolverines dropped a pair of big games down the stretch, pushing their final regular season record to 19-3. While those losses might raise a red flag to bettors, trends say that may not be a bad thing. Indiana is the last team to go completely undefeated and win the NCAA Tournament (back in the late 1970s) and just one team since 2000 has won the NCAA Tournament with less than three losses (2012 Kentucky). Michigan is still a team built to win in March.
Illinois (+900): The Illini have gone through the complete cycle – unknowns to favorites, back again, and back again. Kofi Cockburn is one of the most elite players in the country amid a resurgence of talented big men, leading the team with 9.9 rebounds. Ayo Dosunmu is a top-scorer in the nation, too, with 21 points scored per game. A dominant win over Michigan in the final few games turned heads and might provide the fuel Illinois needs to make a tournament run.
Alabama (+1300): The Tide are top-five in 3-point shooting this year, and the philosophy of throwing up as many 3s as possible seems to be working out. Three straight wins to close out the year secured them the SEC regular season title and the top seed in the conference tournament. Some might be worried about Alabama’s scoring defense, but their high-tempo offense naturally leads to opposing teams scoring more. They’re solid in most defensive metrics.
The Longshots
Ohio State (+1500): A loaded Big Ten saw an 18-8 Ohio State team land just fifth in the regular season race. A concerning mark was the Buckeyes’ three-game losing streak to close out the year that included to arch-rival Michigan, top-five Iowa, and a red-hot Michigan State team. While they have the talent to make a run at the Final Four, Ohio State could also be on first-round upset alert if they don’t find their groove in the Big Ten tournament.
Iowa (+1500): Contrary to Ohio State, Luka Garza and the Iowa Hawkeyes finished on a three-game winning streak highlighted by ranked wins over the Buckeyes and Wisconsin. They’re a dangerous team capable of lighting up the scoreboard. Iowa hit triple digits four times this season. They’ve cleaned up their scoring defense and are ready to make a March run. Which region and matchups they’re dealt, though, will make a real difference in Iowa’s chances.
March Madness betting sites
How the NCAA Tournament works
March Madness is a 68-team, single-elimination tournament that annually crowns college basketball’s NCAA Division 1 men’s national champion.
The event is aptly named, considering it features a frenetic 67 games over a 19-day period. The participating schools are announced on “Selection Sunday”, along with the exact seeding and brackets.
The annual college basketball rite of spring is sports betting’s most prolific multi-day event. Below you’ll find the current betting odds for the favorites to win the NCAA Tournament, along with key tournament details and betting strategy to help you during the month-long madness.
The first 32 teams to gain entry into the tournament do so automatically by winning their conferences. The remaining 36 slots are filled by “at-large” teams. A 10-member selection committee consisting of athletic directors and conference commissioners undergoes an arduous and multi-layered process to determine the 36 at-large teams and subsequently finalize seeding and brackets.
This year, the committee will employ the NCAA Evaluation Tool (NET) as its primary sorting method for determining at-large entrants. The NET replaces the RPI (Rating Percentage Index), which had been utilized since 1981.
The NET utilizes the following metrics:
Game results
Strength of schedule
Game location
Scoring margin
Offensive and defensive efficiency
Quality of wins and losses
The NCAA has a detailed, step-by-step breakdown of seeding and bracket protocol on this page within its website.
March Madness betting history
The first NCAA basketball tournament took place in 1939 in Evanston, Illinois. Since then, 36 teams have won it all and five teams have won the tournament at least five times (Indiana, Duke, UNC, Kentucky, UCLA). Since seeding began in 1979, number-one seeds have won the tournament 24 times and have accounted for almost 49% of all championship appearances. Just three times has a team seeded lower than four won the title, and no team seeded below eighth has won, nor made a championship appearance.
Since betting lines were released for NCAA tournament games in 1985, underdogs have covered 44% of the time, winning outright 29% of the time. Games have gone under the total in 56% of games. Since 2010, games have gone under the total in 70% of games and favorites have covered in seven out of ten games. Three teams have won more than one championship since 2010 (Duke, UConn, Villanova), but none have won back-to-back titles (despite Butler & UNC appearing in back-to-back title games).
Since 2000, the top overall seed has made the championship game just four times but won the game three of those times (75%). In total, top overall seeds in the tournament have comprised of just 8% of the total Final Four teams (missed 13 out of 20 years). Besides 1-seeds, 2-seeds have the most championship appearances since 2000 (7 times), followed by 3-seeds (6 times), and 5- and 8-seeds (2).
Just eight percent (52/640) of all Sweet 16 teams have been seeded 11 or lower, and only 2.8% of teams in the Elite Eight were seeded 11 or lower. Four 11 seeds advanced to the Final Four (Loyola Chicago, 2018; VCU, 2011; George Mason, 2006; LSU, 1986). UMBC is the only 16-seed to upset a 1-seed in the tournament’s history (2018), and just eight 15-seeds have prevailed (5%). In 2015, two 15-seeds upset 2-seeds (25% of all such upsets) and two 14-seeds upset 3-seeds.
Using historical data when filling out brackets and betting March Madness, err caution; stats should be used in the long-run but when choosing individual games, be sure to study matchup statistics. The most important thing to remember, though, is this is March Madness, and anything can (and will) happen.
Tournament betting strategies
The historical ATS data for each team in tournament play is just one of countless data points that can constitute March Madness betting research. Other factors that can hold considerable relevance include:
A team’s late-season performances, including in their conference tournament
Key injuries
A team’s defensive proficiency, as this typically has more carryover into tournament play than a high-powered offense
“Fading the public” when the line appears to be significantly affected by a team’s popularity, as opposed to actual recent performance
Examining various tournament-specific historical trends, such as how high-seeded mid-majors have done in each round in terms of straight-up wins and losses.
Another overarching data set that could prove highly valuable is the performance of each seed in each round versus the spread. Courtesy of BoydsBets.com, below is an overview of historical first-round performance by seeds 1-16 against the number:

Currently, the following states feature a legal sports betting industry where you can wager on the NCAA Tournament:
Online Sportsbooks & AppsRetail OnlyUpcoming StatesColorado AppsArkansasLouisianaIllinois AppsDelawareNorth CarolinaIndiana AppsMississippiMarylandIowa AppsMontanaMichigan AppsNew MexicoNevada AppsNew YorkNew Hampshire AppsNew Jersey AppsPennsylvania AppsRhode Island AppsTennessee AppsVirginia AppsWest Virginia Apps
The majority of states with a sports betting industry have retail sportsbooks as well as online sports betting apps.
If you live in one of the states listed above, you can wager on March Madness right from your mobile device through an online sportsbook.
If you live in Oregon, you may be wondering why the state is not listed. Unfortunately, although Oregon hosts mobile sports betting, bettors in the state cannot wager on any collegiate sports, including college basketball.
Anyway, most of the states that feature online March Madness betting have several wagering platforms available. These online sportsbooks currently allow NCAA basketball bets:
Betting through an online sportsbook is like wagering at a land-based location. The most significant difference is the availability to place live bets.
While some retail sportsbooks might accept live in-game wagers, the odds update so fast that having a betting app is a necessity.
The only other difference is your physical location, of course. With online sportsbooks, you can bet wherever you’d like in the entire state. At a retail sportsbook, you must be present at the time of wagering.
Even with legal options around the US, a lot of bettors still bet through offshore sportsbooks. This is dangerous for several reasons.
Beyond their uncertain legality, offshore sites are not regulated or protected. If you’re having issues with the site or you haven’t received your winnings on time, there is no alternative route to settling your bets.

Colorado sports betting: Colorado became an online sports betting state in May 2020. BetRivers Sportsbook was the first to go online in the Centennial State. However, with 33 casinos in the state, more sportsbooks are joining the party all the time.
Illinois sports betting: Illinois joined the ranks of online sports betting states in June 2020. True to form in various other states, BetRivers Sportsbook was the first to open in the Prairie State. It’s a bit surprising that there are only about a half-dozen apps active in Illinois, but the five are all big-time brands, so there are plenty of great choices. The in-person registration requirement has been suspended for most of the life of the industry, and it is set to sunset in September 2021.
Indiana sports betting: Indiana launched online sports betting in October 2019. Both DraftKings and BetRivers went live on Oct. 3, followed by FanDuel on Oct. 26. While the Hoosier State only offers three sportsbooks at the moment, others are in line to launch.
Iowa sports betting: Iowa was one of the more unassuming states to become an online sportsbook haven in the first wave of launches. However, with the launch in April 2019, Iowa positioned itself as one of the new vanguard of sports betting destinations. The state’s outlook got a boost in January 2021 when it finally allowed remote registration to proceed.
Michigan sports betting: The launch of online sports betting was a momentous occasion in January 2021. Michigan’s launch was the largest simultaneous launch of apps in US history, with 10 apps going live on the very first day. Michigan also launched online casinos and poker the same day and is suddenly one of the top gambling destinations in the state.
Nevada sports betting: Nevada is the original sports betting location in the United States. Sports betting apps have been available in the state since 2013, several years before any other state. Although the Silver State now has competition, there are still plenty of great apps for you to place your bets. Be aware, however, that you have to visit the apps’ home casinos in order to register and move money into and out of your account.
New Hampshire sports betting: New Hampshire became an online sports betting state in part, at least, because Gov. Chris Sununu wanted to place a bet on the New England Patriots. The governor pushed for the Granite State to go live prior to the 2020 NFL Playoffs, and got his wish when DraftKings launched in December 2019. Due to an unusual arrangement, DraftKings enjoys a virtual monopoly over the state, but it is live and able to book action no matter where you sit in New Hampshire.

New Jersey sports betting: The New Jersey sports betting market was the first to go online, and it is the most extensive around. Currently, there are over 15 sports betting apps available in the state. These additional platforms include FanDuel, William Hill, SugarHouse, PointsBet and BetMGM.
Pennsylvania sports betting: Sports betting in PA went online in May 2019 with SugarHouse Sportsbook. Several more have launched, including DraftKings, FanDuel, Unibet, BetRivers and Fox Bet online sportsbooks.
Rhode Island sports betting: Rhode Island began online sports betting in September 2019 after the bill to allow it passed in April. Mobile sports betting is operated and regulated by the Rhode Island Lottery, which operates with support from William Hill. Although it’s not a big market and not a big state, anyone inside the Ocean State is welcome to bet on NCAA Tournament games, so long as they don’t occur inside state lines.
Tennessee sports betting: Tennessee was a surprising entrant into the online sports betting game in November 2020. The Volunteer State’s launch actually represented a historic first, due to the fact that it was the first state with online-only sports betting. There are no retail sportsbooks in the state, but the four online sportsbooks are more than happy to process your wagers on March Madness.
Virginia sports betting: Virginia became an online sportsbook state in January 2021 after a short legalization process in 2020. Like Tennessee, Old Dominion is operating as an online-only state for sports betting. However, unlike the Volunteer State, there are already plans in motion to bring retail sports betting to the state. For the time being, though, anyone inside the state lines can find options like FanDuel, DraftKings, BetMGM, and BetRivers for betting on college basketball games.
West Virginia sports betting: West Virginia has three apps to choose from including BetMGM, DraftKings and FanDuel. There are no major restrictions on betting in the Mountain State, so feel free to place all your NCAA Tournament wagers in the state.
Among the best sportsbooks to use for March Madness betting are DraftKings and FanDuel. Both sports wagering apps feature a large amount of alternate lines, props and futures.
They’re also two of the best when it comes to live wagering. The sportsbooks each provide an extensive amount of live odds with multiple alternates for point spreads and totals.
Soon to open legal March Madness betting states
Some states in the US have legalized online sports betting, but have yet to put the law into action. Numerous states are working on rolling out some online sportsbooks in time for March Madness.
The biggest state with online sports betting in the works is New York. The Empire State already has retail sports betting, and both state lawmakers and Gov. Andrew Cuomo have expressed support for moving into the online space, albeit through different avenues. It will probably be a few months before they all come together, but there will be online March Madness wagering in New York sometime quite soon.
The other state likely to bring sports betting online is Maryland. Voters already passed a sweeping referendum in November 2020, and it is only on lawmakers and regulators to implement it, at this point. Given how NCAA basketball-crazy the state is, it would not be a shock to see a launch soon.
Types of bets you can place during March Madness
March Madness futures
Futures are a popular bet for March Madness.
These wagers are typically available all season long, with the odds changing throughout based on the results of games.
Although a lot of bettors place futures wagers right before the tournament begins, they are available leading up to the season and right now, too.
The most common futures bet is picking the winner of the national championship. It is a popular wager because of the opportunity to receive favorable odds.
Of course, betting on one of these teams before the season, as opposed to betting a No. 1 seed at the start of the tournament, would generate a larger payout.
Other widespread futures include:
Which conference will win the title?
Which player will be named the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player?
Again, both of these options will have encouraging odds for bettors.
Some sportsbooks have additional futures that allow you to bet on how far along the team will get. Most will have lines for making the Sweet 16, Elite Eight and Final Four.
March Madness bracket challenges
Beyond futures or individual wagering, a lot of sportsbooks have bracket challenges too. These are pools where you’re able to submit a full bracket like you would with your friends.
DraftKings, FanDuel and other sportsbooks implemented some type of bracket contest last season.
Though there are challenges that cost money to enter, the majority of books include ones that are free to join.
Paid challenges, like DraftKings’ recent NJ-only pool, cost $20 and had a total prize of $100,000. While the free contests vary in cash prizes, they can range from DraftKings’ $64,000 pool to FanDuel’s $150,000 Bracket Madness.
Many sportsbooks, including SugarHouse, Caesars and PointsBet, also run various free bracket challenges.
After joining one of these contests, picking a bracket is easy.
You will choose a winner for every game in this single-elimination tournament until you’ve crowned your champion.
Since most pools don’t require picks for the First Four matchups, you’ll begin picking winners from the field of 64 in the first round.
The bracket is broken up by four regions, with teams being seeded one through 16.
Once you’re all done, the “madness” begins, and you officially have a rooting interest for every single game.
If, and usually when, your bracket becomes “busted,” you still can bet on individual games throughout the tournament. Every online sportsbook will provide betting odds for each game.
A lot of books will also update futures odds after every day or a round of action. If your bracket went down because your champion lost, you’re still able to put some money on another team you think will have the best chance.
March Madness live betting
Live betting has become one of the most standard ways to use any online sportsbook, and it isn’t any different when it comes to betting on March Madness.
As any college basketball fan can tell you, no lead is safe as long as there is still time on the clock.
Live in-game wagering allows you to place a bet at any time in the game with updated lines based on the current score and situation.
It is an excellent feature because it doesn’t restrict you to the pregame odds; you can wager at any point. It also lets you see how a game begins before deciding to commit any money.
Sometimes teams that get down a lot early will receive much better odds than when they entered the game. Bettors can take a chance of putting a few dollars down on an enhanced moneyline with the possibility that a comeback will provide a big payout.
Live betting will be available for every NCAA Tournament game.
Beyond the standard betting lines like point spreads, moneylines and game totals, most sportsbooks will offer a large selection of alternate lines as well as game and player props.
March Madness moneylines, spreads, over/unders
The most basic college basketball bets are moneylines, point spreads and over/unders.
These straightwagers are available for every regular-season game and every March Madness matchup too.
Betting the moneyline is merely choosing which team you think will win. The teams that are the favorite will have minus odds, meaning that you must wager more than the amount you’re going to win.
For instance, a 5-point favorite’s moneyline is probably going to be around -230. So, this means you’ll have to wager $230 to win $100.
The opposite applies to betting an underdog’s moneyline. A team receiving the same 5-point spread will have a moneyline around +180. Your $100 wager would win $180 with the underdog.
A point spread bet is similar, except that the game’s final score and the margin of victory come into play. If you bet on the favorite giving 5 points, they must win by at least 6 points for your wager to win.
While a 5-point victory would result in a push, any fewer points would be a win for the underdog getting the spread.
Game total bets, often referred to as the over/under, has nothing to do with which team wins the game. The over/under is strictly decided by how many combined points are scored in total.
College basketball totals will vary with every game, ranging from 120 to 160 points.
Bettors pick whether they think there will be more or fewer points scored than the given amount the sportsbook provides. If the total is set at 130 points and the final score consists of 125 points, then “under” bettors win and “over” backers lose.
March Madness betting tips
How To Bet On March Madness Games For The Office
Early and equal
Parity is increasing in March Madness.
Think Loyola University in the 2018 Final Four, so take advantage of that parity early in the tournament when the point spreads are bigger.
For first-round games, betting on the No. 12 versus No. 5 seed games is the way to go. More than a third of all teams seeded at No. 12 have won during the round of 64.
That makes 12 seeds, as well as 11 and 13 seeds, good bets against the spread during the round of 64 and the round of 32.
Weigh strengths
Later in the tournament, pay attention to the team’s conference strength as well as momentum. Have they been just squeaking by or winning big?
Teams playing well into the third round are likely to keep playing well, regardless of seeding.
Keep an eye on higher seeds
In the Final Four, the higher-seeded team wins — and typically covers the spread — 75% of the time.
Wimpy records?
Teams with weak road or neutral records often do not fare well in the tournament.
March Madness betting trends
Most of the money is bet on the spreads of the games.
There will be a small amount on moneylines and totals, but fans love to bet big money on their team to win the national title. But not many teams worse than a No. 3 seed has won the tournament.
Many analysts say 50 million Americans bet on March Madness picks each year. The news media often reports on the billions of dollars in loss of productivity due to time spent filling out NCAA Tournament brackets and watching the games.
Forbes magazine estimates that the number of people worldwide who will place at least one bet on the tournament could be more than 100 million.

A brief history of March Madness
March Madness is one of the most exciting and most gambled on sporting events in the US every year.
The NCAA Tournament was created in 1939 to determine college basketball’s annual national champion.
Like with anything else, the tournament has changed and expanded over the years. For the first 11 years of its existence, only eight teams qualified. By the 1980s, the field grew to 48 teams.
This number expanded to 64 teams and is the tournament we see today. The format stayed the same until a play-in game was reintroduced in 2001, adding the 65th squad.
Then in 2011, the field grew by three more teams and three more play-in games to have the current NCAA Tournament format that will occur this year.
Instead of only involving 16th-seeded teams, the four play-ins will have at least two games between Nos. 11, 12, 13 or 14 seeds. These opening games are now known as the First Four.
The field of 68 is determined on Selection Sunday, which takes place on March 14 this year.
An NCAA selection committee is in charge of rounding out the entire field and deciding which seed each team will have.
March Madness Games For Work
Thirty-two teams receive automatic bids into the tournament because they won their conference’s postseason. Regardless of record or anything that took place in the regular season, conference tournament champs get invited to the Big Dance.

The selection committee then decides the final 36 teams that receive an at-large bid. Every teams’ regular-season resume is put under scrutiny to determine the best and which deserve to play in March Madness.
How To Bet On March Madness Games This Week
The UCLABruins are the most successful team in the history of the tournament, winning the championship 11 times. Kentucky basketball isn’t far behind, with eight titles, followed by NorthCarolina with six.

Gambling In Oklahoma
Chisholm Trail Casino
This is a list of casinos in Oklahoma.
Currently, Oklahoma has very few options for legal, licensed and secure online betting. Land-based gambling is legalized in Oklahoma is hosted on tribal lands under compacts between the state and 33 tribes. The law allows tribes to offer all major forms of gambling in Oklahoma apart from sports betting.
Luckily, Oklahoma gambling laws says residents need only wait until they are 18 to legally gamble, however they should be aware that different land-based casinos require different ages to play despite what is specified in Oklahoma gambling code.
Oklahoma doesn’t have any commercial casinos, and this is explicitly outlawed in their criminal code. Defined in statue 21-982, commercial gaming includes anything from taking profits from a gambling place to conducting an illegal lottery.

Steps to Finding the Best Real Money Oklahoma Casino Sites

There are four simple steps that you can take to ensure you find the very best online casinos operating. Check them out below!
Read About Oklahoma Online Casinos From Reputable Sources
One of the easiest ways to get information about a great Oklahoma casino gambling site is by looking at reviews from trusted sources. Nowadays, it’s easy to find reviews on just about every single online casino operating in the country. All reviews are different, though.
Our gambling site reviews page provides information on different site’s payment options, games, and designs. We’ll be the first to let you know if an online casino is reputable or not. Take a look at the page today to learn more about some of the top Oklahoma casino sites currently operating.
Check the Real Money Casino Sites for Yourself
A solid review should tell you a lot about a casino website. In reality, though, you won’t know if you want to join an Oklahoma online casino until you actually check it out for yourself. We recommend that you spend some time looking over a few online casinos in Oklahoma to see what they offer.
This will give you a chance to learn more about the designs being offered online, too. Everyone has a different preference when it comes to online casino designs. It shouldn’t take long for you to find a site you love.
Explore the Online Casino Games Being Offered
Every online casino offers different games. Some focus solely on real money slot games. Others focus entirely on their table games such as blackjack and craps. Before you decide to join any casino sites in Oklahoma, make sure it provides the games you want to play.
This should be extremely simple. The majority of sites feature the list of games available directly on their homepages. If you find a site that doesn’t, you may want to think twice about creating an account.
Search for Great Promotional Offers
Promotions are one of the best advantages available at casino websites. Essentially, these are bonuses that online casinos offer to their members to help boost their amount of money for playing online casino games. Some sites are known for offering better bonuses than others.
It can be great joining an Oklahoma online casino site that offers a solid welcome bonus. This adds real money onto whatever you first deposit into your account. You may want to look for OK casino sites that provide loyalty promotions for their members as well.
As long as you follow these steps, there’s a good chance you’ll find a reliable casino site.
What’s Made Casino Sites in Oklahoma so Popular?
Oklahoma, like just about every other state in the country, is developing a massive online casino fanbase. This isn’t very surprising. More individuals here are beginning to realize how fun and convenient this form of real money casino gambling really is.
There are many different reasons why casino sites in Oklahoma have grown so popular over the years. Many believe the convenience these sites offer is likely one of the biggest reasons. Oklahoma online casinos allow gamblers to play different games from anywhere in the state solely by using a device with internet connection.
Most of these real money online casinos in Oklahoma also offer fantastic mobile casino gambling options. Sometimes, the mobile sites are even better than the desktop versions. They just make it extremely easy to place wagers on the go.
And it’s not uncommon to see Oklahoma real money casino sites offering more games than the top land-based casinos in the state. Some still prefer to make their bets in-person at a real venue, though. There’s nothing wrong with that. Playing games inside of a real casino is a fun and unique experience.
Many feel that real money Oklahoma online casinos are the best options available right now. Others prefer land-based casino gambling. There’s no way to say which one is better; it just depends on what you like.
Here Are the Land-Based Casinos in Oklahoma

Legality of Oklahoma Online Casinos
The real money online casino industry in Oklahoma is clearly growing. Interestingly, not many individuals are aware of the exact laws towards this industry. This is probably because Oklahoma’s online casino laws are not entirely clear.
This is the case with most states. Oklahoma does not currently regulate its online casino gambling market. But that doesn’t mean it’s illegal!
Lawmakers in Oklahoma simply have not set any specific regulations for this industry. Gambling laws in Oklahoma were made prior to the development of real money online casino gambling. For that reason, most feel that these sites are perfectly legal.
Section 21- 941 of the State Statutes offers a description of gambling in the state.
“Except as provided in the Oklahoma Charity Games Act, every person who opens, or causes to be opened, or who conducts, whether for hire or not, or carries on either poker, roulette, craps or any banking or percentage, or any gambling game played with dice, cards or any device, for money, checks, credits, or any representatives of value…”
Some feel that Oklahoma will eventually start to regulate its real money online casino industry. Several politicians in the state have supported this idea. As of now, however, this industry remains unregulated.
Will I Get in Legal Trouble Playing Real Money Casino Games Online in Oklahoma?
It’s extremely unlikely. Lawmakers in Oklahoma have not presented any laws that ban this industry. We haven’t come across any cases of residents here being prosecuted for playing at Oklahoma casino sites.
*We are not lawyers. Please reach out to a law professional for more information about the specific online casino laws in Oklahoma.*
