artists can learn from each other and i think its so great actually artists SHOULD learn from each other but also people tend to take their advice as The Correct Way

"Artists: DONT DO THIS!!! Do this instead!!" have you ever considered that its fun. maybe people dont WANT to learn how to draw in one specific way because they are just having fun drawing. fuck color theory fuck anatomy have you ever just drawn because you felt like it?

and thats not to say artists cant follow this advice. if you are searching for a way to do something like shading or perspective, learning from other artists is GREAT!!! if you learn a different way to draw hands that you really like, thats amazing!!! but every time i see "STOP drawing hands like this!!" it ticks me. theres no rules, theres no "right way" to draw something (unless its realism i guess).

if you like drawing blob hands and shading with black please continue i love you. you dont need your art to look "good" it just has to be good for your standards and if you end up changing your art style over time or never being consistent in the first place you are so valid and i hope you have a very fun time creating you are blessing this world with your art and creativity. and if you follow every tutorial you see you are just as valid and just as much of an artist
