Thoughts about the PvP Civilization Season 2 finale

HOOOOLLYY SHIT?????? EVBO UNDERSCORE WHEN I FUCKING GET YOU

Clown turning Tabi's entire civilization against her without knowing.... how must it feel, to know your home turned against you and only you....

The shield rescuing her, and Clown showing up and.... oighhh

THE VIDEO JOURNAL MACHINE. The shield, or, now we know, Teddy, spent so much time clowning on Evbo's dedication to keep everything and anything documented, and now... in his final moments, he finally gives in, for Evbo.

Genuinely so cinematic the way it was set up... the video playing in the background and Evbo runs as fast as he can, behind Teddy dies Clown too, and Evbo is just too late

He didn't even need to look back at Clown to know that he was ereased, he was aware he'll meet the same fate soon

And Evbo banging on the door, hitting it with his sword, to try and get in, to try and save him. I think he knew there was no saving Teddy, but he had to try, right? He had to be able to say he tried his hardest.

And that's when Tabi shows up too, when Teddy dies. And the look in her eyes return, the look of a friend that Evbo tried to save

And the diamond swords, his family, still wants to protect him until their last dying breaths. But Evbo reassures them, that they shouldn't, that they can't

And everyone goes to the bed on the wooden sword level, and Evbo has to tell her to kill him when it gets to it... over and over and over, as long as they need to convince the others that swords aren't threats

You know, it's interesting to me, how the diamond swords and Tabi approach the whole "farming Evbo for durability".

His family tells that he shouldn't, because he knows what it's liked to be killed over and over again. There's nothing about the pain, the mental anguish, or anything. Just the sheer knowledge that your durability fuels someone malicious

Tabi looks in his eyes and says she can't be the one to do the final kill, and she won't stand around to see everyone farm him. Because she was the only one to ask him if it hurts, if it brings him any pain to be considered a saviour. Because she was the reason they could keep Evbo in that cell in the iron level for so long

And then it's the new norm. And they all adjust. And Evbo is sentenced to save the world with his own blood. Maybe it hurts less each time, maybe it hurts more. Maybe he doesn't even feel the wounds the weapons cause.

And they all have that final resolution. And they all have a new purpose to fulfill.

And each day, a friendly face welcomes him on the wooden sword level, after he dies again.

And then there's that bow that became a diamond sword, I love him lmao

And the story ends, the same it begun. A video journal log.

Evbo: Alright, let’s see what we got here. Wait, what is this? Guard Friend: Man, this is strange. Didn’t think I’d ever be doing one of these but, uh, well, I guess you got your wish, right Evbo? [He says this in reference to Evbo’s previous attempts to get him to record a video journal.] Guard Friend: I don’t know if this is going to be any good or not but, I won’t be around for much longer anyways so, I suppose it doesn’t matter too much. Evbo: Not going to be around for much longer-hey, hey, hey, come on, what are you doing? Guard Friend: I’ll admit, I was a little scared when Clownpierce said this would be a one way trip, but I don’t know. Something inside of me seemed to be waiting for the chance to finally do something good for this world. Evbo: No no no, come on. This is not real he has to be waiting at that door, right? He has to be. [Evbo takes damage in his haste to get down the ladder.] Guard Friend: For a while, I’ve been wondering what it means to be a Shield in PVP Civilization. Guard Friend: It didn’t make sense to me that our only purpose as Shield’s was to make the lives harder for the players fighting to survive in PVP Civilization. But, when I met that diamond level Shield, I realised we do have a purpose. We just lost our way. Evbo: Come on, you’re not dying on me like this–you’re not just going to leave me a message. Guard Friend: Somewhere in our past, Shield’s used to be the ones to protect people, the ones to provide some sort of balance to this world. [Clownpierce strikes with the Eternal Bow.] Guard Friend: And when I look back at our journey, well, I didn’t really do that job at all. But I’m not going to have that be what I’m remembered for. [Clownpierce strikes with the Eternal Axe.] Guard Friend: Not by you at least. Guard Friend: You and Clownpierce are giving everything you have to this plan to save the world. Using the Eternal Weapons will cost him his life. And if he succeeds, you’ll be giving your life to PVP Civilization every single day. [Clownpierce strikes with the Eternal Trident.] Guard Friend: So it wouldn’t be fair to stop that from happening just to save my own life. After each Eternal Weapon is used, they all go back to their own civilizations. But, I am the Shield, so I, I guess I’ll just disappear maybe? [Evbo takes damage for the second time as he skips using the ladder.] Guard Friend: Man, I can’t believe how much I sound like you right now. When you just start saying anything that comes to mind. [sighs]. This journal is definitely getting too long. Maybe not to your standards, but definitely for mine. So I’m just going to wrap this up. Guard Friend: I hope you go on to save a lot of lives. And to be honest, I’m confident that you will. Because I don’t think there’s anyone out there comes close to your ability to die. Actually, you know what’s funny? When you were a wooden sword, I bet on you to die. Evbo: Open the door, come on please just open the door. [Evbo hits the door, in an attempt to get it to open. He is clearly emotional.] Guard Friend: Well now, I’m betting on you to live. [Clownpierce is seen as he dies.] Guard Friend: Oh, and one last thing. My name is Teddy. Guard Friend (Teddy): I guess, that makes us friends now. [Guard Friend (Teddy) is seen as he dies.]
