I honestly can’t wait for the Darkest Minds to come out I mean, Sci-fi revolutionary movie with a POC protagonist? I want that.

Hunger Games was nice sure, but this movie actually seems like it has what I’m looking for. I wanted more POC protagonist and now I have one, who is not only POC but is also a woman? Hell yeah.

my favorite thing about the cast of the darkest minds is how young they are. they actually look like kids. we’ll finally have a film based on a YA novel in which the characters don’t look like they’re in their twenties.

As a fan of The Handmaid's Tale, I sometimes wonder if the viewer who feels sorry Aunt Lydia is like Janine/June: You know, suffering from Stockholm Syndrome.

Oh, she’s tough and stern…but we can trust her, right? 

She believes in the cause, right? Messed up as it is.

But we *can’t* trust her. She’s a sadist. She’s an Aunt who has to produce results.

Not a coincidence the only time she is ever nice to a handmaid is when they’re expecting.  

That, and June’s whole “You promised you’d protect the baby” comment. And Lydia just shrugs her off and instead basks in her/June’s prestige of delivering a healthy child to the commanders and getting all these gift baskets.
