I am Mohammed Alanqer married from Enas Majed we have 3 children

Amidst the ongoing war in Gaza, we find ourselves as a family trapped between walls of fear and despair. I, Mohammed, a father of three children and a husband to a woman in her eighth month of pregnancy, live in an environment filled with threats and risks.

My technology startup, which I built with dedication and hard work, was destroyed during this war, leading to the loss of our livelihood. My children, Layan, Sarah, and Adam, no longer have the opportunity for education due to the destruction of schools, posing a significant threat to their future.

My wife, Enas, lives in constant anxiety due to her advanced pregnancy and the destruction of hospitals in the area. After losing my job and source of income, I find myself in a severe financial crisis, unable to provide for the needs and safety of my family.

Our family home was destroyed due to the war, forcing us to flee and move multiple times, leaving us homeless. Everything has become difficult now; we cannot provide a safe place to live, nor can we afford clean clothes and food for our children. Additionally, our children have been afflicted with diseases such as measles, and our son Adam has been diagnosed with viral hepatitis.

Our only hope now is to escape from this ongoing hell and find a safe haven for our family. However, this requires exorbitant financial costs, with the coordination fee for crossing borders amounting to $5000 per adult and $2500 per child, a sum I cannot afford alone.

I love how whenever ATLA recognizes Sokka is smart enough to solve a problem but it’d be too fast they just stick him in some kind of situation. Like he COULD’VE stopped jet from drowning a town so they tied him up and dumped him in a forest. He COULD’VE figured out what that spirits deal was so they lost him in the spirit world for 24 hours.

I don't wanna @ anyone because I understand how fast things seem to move in today's landscape of streaming shows dropping entire seasons in one day, and networks pumping out new series constantly to try to attract more subscribers with no intent to actually maintain those shows over time but I just saw someone self-deprecatingly lament that they are still thinking about a show that ended almost a year ago, making fan art and playlists for it, and I want to be very clear:

you can still create fanworks when it comes to old media!! PLEASE do!! there are always going to be new fans who will appreciate it, and veteran fans who are dying for new content and new perspectives. also, less than a year is NOTHING. the original Star Trek series was on TV six decades ago and there are still people losing their minds over it, writing stories and reblogging gifsets daily, and that's only one example.

a fandom lasts as long as there are people who love a thing, even if it's only a handful of people. love what you love and write and draw and make gifs and playlists about it!

tv shows (in particular sitcoms. i'm thinking about sitcoms) are really missing out on the comedic potential of an aroallo character in a sitcom. everyone's thinking about the comedic potential of awkward romance, but i'm thinking about the comedic potential of desperately trying to avoid romance. climbing out of windows to avoid family asking about a romantic partner. mission impossible-style escape following a one-night stand. spraying people with water from a spray bottle if they engage in pda. holding an anti-valentines day. hiding in impossible places to avoid someone who has expressed romantic feelings for them. two aroallos in a fwb relationship making exaggerated looks of disgust when someone implies they're dating. marriage for tax benefits. sitcoms are really limiting their true comedic potential by not including aroallo characters

Happy Adha Eid! Today marks 250 days of the gruesome war on Gaza and its children . Today coincides with the first day of our Adha Eid during which Muslims in all the Islamic countries visit their families and relatives to wish them all luck and good health except in Palestine and Gaza in particular people visit their sons and families in the graveyards to wish them mercy and heaven. During this period , children are supposed to be happy with their new clothes and their new hair_cut,and play with their new toys but children of Gaza are sad and hungry . The war killed every beautiful thing in them . No more happiness exists nor time to play. People of Gaza are sitting hungry in their small hot tents waiting for coming back to their homes. You can't imagine how hard these days are when recalling how you used to spend such beautiful days at home in peace and harmony. Dear brothers and sisters, we appreciate your brave and human stands with us , but we actually started to lose our nature of being human. The war has been very harsh and merciless killing the simplicity of life. We forgot our real characters!!!! Nine months of war is enough to change our appearance, nature and behavior. We are no longer us ! Teachers doctors , lawyers , .....etc have lost their identities just looking for securing their families' needs . The war has swept every beautiful nature in us. Dear friends , when we ask for your help and support , it's not easy to give up and ask others for help but the war has forced us and left no option. Pray for us that this unfair war will end soon.

AITA for banning my husband and father in law from the delivery room due to their intensely stressful/creepy behavior during my pregnancy?

There’s a famous Reddit post from 2020 where a pregnant woman wrote that her husband and father-in-law were a little too comfortable with their certainty that she was absolutely going to die in childbirth just like her husband’s late mother. It was to the point where her FIL was insisting that she go ahead and put all her clothes into storage, because she was obviously going to die in the hospital and it would save them the grief of packing up her things afterwards. Like. It was WILD.

When I tell my husband [that she feels suspicious of her FIL], he calls me paranoid, but I feel like my FIL WANTS me to die; his whole life identity for the past 35 years has been “amazing single dad” (never dated or had close friends or even hobbies really), and it seems like he’s looking forward to being able to guide my husband through what he went through. At this point, I’d honestly be happy to never see my FIL again, and I certainly don’t want him in the delivery room, especially since he told me he was “putting [his] foot down” about me not being “allowed” to have an epidural…. My husband, in addition to backing his dad on everything, acts like my due date is my death date, and has completely pulled away from me.

The commenters (and me, honestly) were convinced that the husband and FIL were either going to kill her outright to fulfill this expectation, or just make decisions about her care that might conveniently let her die.

And then she never posted again.

Over the last four years, people have frequently mentioned that post, always leading to a thread of people saying, “Oh god, I still worry about that woman.” I did too. It became one of those famous unresolved posts that people always wondered about.

Until yesterday, when someone on r/BestOfRedditorUpdates dug up a 2022 update she had posted on a different account:

TLDR; I had a beautiful and healthy baby girl, and I divorced my ex-husband. I lived, obviously.

She writes that she put her foot down about having her own mother in the delivery room rather than her FIL (!), and she WOULD be getting an epidural. Her husband lost his shit. And in his outburst, he let slip--

I admittedly lost my temper, and told him that I wasn’t going to die- it wasn’t my fault his father’s trauma wormed it’s way into his head, and that he needed to fix it without taking it out on me. He yelled at me that he didn’t need therapy. That caught me a little off guard; I asked him why he went to his therapist and was given advice about my death if he felt he didn’t need it. His expression gave it away, and he caved not long after. It turns out there was no therapist. It was just his dad. During the times he was supposed to be at therapy, he was with his dad. I’m still fuming.

And that was when she got the fuck out.

I’ll wrap this up- I’ve got an adorable little toddler tugging at my leg atm. I’m alive, I’m happy, and I’ve got my baby in my arms. Life is good.

I truly never thought we'd see a resolution to this, and I feel like there's probably a good number of people who remember it, so I thought you might want to know.

Happy new year, and Eid Mubarak

Yesterday, the Israeli army launched three raids, and the raids were so close that shrapnel from rockets fell on our tents.

Please watch the video as fragments fall on our tent and our children are screaming and crying saying that the fragments are falling on us. It is worth mentioning that the video shows part of my family members, including a disabled person with quadriplegic cerebral palsy since birth.

I personally was injured in my back in order to protect my family and children, and I was transferred to a hospital to receive treatment

Yesterday, we wrote a new life, but if other attacks occur, we may become martyrs, so if you want us to remain alive and live happily, this is in your hands by donating to us and contributing to saving an entire family consisting of 42 individuals.

The fate of our lives depends on you, so have mercy on us and our dream is to collect the money and all of us travel and live in safety
