It's so beautiful I could cry.

High Lord and High Lady of the Dusk Court
@nessianweek Day Six — Legends and Destiny
“You said you had an eight-pointed star tattooed on you,” Bryce explained. “And you found the chamber with the eight-pointed star in the Prison, too.”
Nesta lifted her head. “So?”
“So I want you to take the Starsword.” Bryce held the blade between them. “Gwydion—whatever you call it here. The age of the Starborn is over on Midgard. It ends with me.”
“I don’t understand.” But Bryce began backing toward the portal, taking Hunt’s hand, and smiled again at the female, at her mate, at their world, as the Northern Rift began to close.
“I think that eight-pointed star was tattooed on you for a reason. Take that sword and go figure out why.” — HOFAS
My biggest theory is that Nesta and Cassian will help to revive the Dusk Court and the land—and the Mother—will choose them to rule as High Lord and High Lady.
I want to thank @lulybot-blog for this incredible artwork that depicts that scene so well! I am so in awe of this piece and of your talent!

“I have no regrets in my life, but this. That we did not have time. That I did not have time with you, Nesta. I will find you in the next world - the next life. And we will have that time. I promise.”
.
I absolutely love the idea that no matter the world, no matter the Universe, Nesta and Cassian will always find each other 🥺 From canonverse to ancient Greece to the modern world and everything in between, they're each other's person!
.
Thank you so so much to @jmoonjones for helping bring all these Universes of Nessian to life to celebrate Day Four of @nessianweek! Each one is just so FUN! (especially Dragon!Cassian)

Graphic definition of: ATE.
Nesta is an abusive piece of shit, the idea that you find her comforting is whatever but the fact is many people look at her and are triggered by her incredibly self centered, victimizing mindset where she takes her hurt out on everyone around her.
*sighs* @ladydeatharcheron help me

✷ Announcing Nessian Week 2024! ✷
❤️🔥 Join us in celebrating Prythian's hottest couple for the fourth year in a row! ❤️🔥
Come celebrate Nesta and Cassian with us from September 15 through September 22, 2024! Feel free to participate in any way you can, from headcanons, fanart, moodboards, playlists, fics, drabbles…. no matter how big or small, anything celebrating Nessian is welcome! Please note this event will be happening on Tumblr, AO3, and Instagram only.
Please tag @nessianweek and use the tag #nessianweek2024 to spread the word! If you're posting on Instagram, please tag @/nessianweek2024!
You can find Nessian Week 2023's masterlist here, Nessian Week 2022's masterlist here, and Nessian Week 2021's masterlist here!
This year's prompts are as follows:
Day One: Banter ✷ One of our favorite things about Nesta and Cassian's relationship is their banter. They're always ready to go back and forth with one another, and we're always ready to see it. Show us your favorite Nessian banter, or come up with your own!
Day Two: Yearning ✷ Nesta and Cassian didn't immediately act on their feelings for one another, despite how badly we wanted them to. How do you see them handling all that longing?
Day Three: Symphony ✷ Music has played such an important role in Nesta and Cassian's relationship. What does that mean to you?
Day Four: Alternate Universe ✷ What do you think Nesta and Cassian's lives would look like outside of canon? How would they live in the modern world, a completely different fantasy world, or within the plot of your favorite book or movie? [Non-Canon AUs requested]
Day Five: Behind Closed Doors ✷ Nesta and Cassian's relationship when they're alone can be very different from what they show the world. How do you see them behaving behind closed doors?
Day Six: Legends & Destiny ✷ As Lady Death and the Lord of Bloodshed, Nesta and Cassian were destined for one another. What does their predestined love mean to you? How do you portray Lady Death and her Lord of Bloodshed?
Day Seven: Free Day ✷ Any topic of your choosing!
We look forward to seeing everything that you create for this event, and make sure to tag @nessianweek once the event starts! Thank you so much to everyone who has contributed to planning this event, with special shoutouts to @unhealthyfanobsession, @podemechamardek, @kale-theteaqueen, @talkfantasytome, @c-e-d-dreamer, @melphss, @whyisaravenlike-awritingdesk, @separatist-apologist, @jsmelodies, and @dustjacketmusings! ACOTAR only holds up because most of the characters don’t act rationally, and all that irrationality can be Disney-fied.
In terms of plot, ACOTAR doesn’t have a leg to stand on.
How convenient Feyre doesn't have a single memory or glimpse of how Rhysand abused her for two months though she was drugged but her memories weren't taken away. Her body doesn't recognise his touch as danger and isn't repulsed by him. Her trauma hasn't left a mark on her mind and body.
How convenient Feyre's PTSD is about being locked up in a cell and not the man who tortured and broke her hand forcing her into a bargain. Her nightmares are filled with the creatures that abused her once and threatened to spit roast her but not of the man who touched her and kissed her without consent and paraded her naked.
How convenient Feyre goes back to using sex as a crutch with Tamlin and later with Rhysand when it was the very thing that was used against her UtM. Her body readily wants a man's touch right after her rebirth.
How convenient Lucien is the only source of information who told Feyre what was done to her. He is also the most considerate and sweetest friend she ever had. He could have withheld some of that trauma to spare her the humiliation and heartbreak.
How convenient Feyre and Tamlin agreed never to speak of what happened UtM. Feyre doesn't understand how Tamlin's rage extends beyond his possessiveness. For her to turn a blind eye and blame him when they won't even talk about it.
How convenient every HL wants to hold Rhysand accountable for the very things he explicitly claimed to be remorseful of (Winter children massacre) and not the other atrocities he participated or committed in the fifty (or 500) years.
How convenient the HLs are polite enough to not ask Feyre how she forgave Rhysand after he SA'd her every night and willingly plays his whore whenever he wants.
How convenient the HLs don't ask if Feyre is also being mind controlled by Rhysand when he proved his strength by taking over Tamlin's mind in front of everyone.
How convenient every HL forgive Rhysand and Feyre for every mistake they ever made and make compromises throughout but never expect anything in return. How convenient mere 'sorry' always seems to be enough when their courts are suffering because of IC.
How convenient Tamlin insults Feyre but doesn't ask how she accepted her abuser as her mate when she accuses him of the same (sometimes worse) too.
How convenient Lucien is so charmed by the beauty of Velaris that he understands why Feyre left Spring for it but doesn't hold a grudge for what she did to his home.
How convenient Nesta, who's been SA'd twice, never finds out her baby sister also went through the same and is in love with the perpetrator. She never finds out the baby she saved is the child of Feyre's abuser.
How convenient Rhysand and Feyre agreed to deal with their trauma in secrecy. No one in Velaris ever finds out what truly happened UtM.
How convenient 'We save abused priestesses together' Morrigan or 'Careful how you speak about my High Lady' Azriel or 'No male better than Rhys' Cassian never find out how Rhysand hurt Feyre.
How convenient Rhysand himself was SA'd over and over again and so it's all fine to do the same to Feyre.
How convenient what happened UtM stays UtM.
How fucking convenient.

Graphs don't lie!

Art by schetroschky (Tumblr) | schetroschky (Instagram)
One of the first things I woke up to yesterday was a post downplaying Gwyn and Emerie’s importance, and honestly? I couldn't just scroll past that. Like, let’s not forget these are two of the only three women to ever take part in (and win!) the Blood Rite—a historic achievement, especially considering the efforts by Cassian, Azriel, and Rhys to create programs encouraging female warriors in Illyria, which are often met with resistance due to deep-rooted cultural stigma. Emerie is the first Illyrian woman to achieve the status of Carynthian, and Gwyn, once confined by her fears as a priestess in the library, overcame them to become a formidable warrior on the battlefield. These two are flipping the script, smashing norms, and inspiring a whole new wave of badass women. So yeah, their impact is anything but minor.
And because I love to nerd out, I brought graphs! I crunched the numbers on how often Gwyn and Emerie get mentioned in ACOSF compared to other 'relevant' characters. This is just to give us a clearer picture of how much these two queens actually show up in the story they're a part of.
Note: I'm only considering the main books: 1, 2, 3, and 4. I'm not including Rhys, Feyre, or Tamlin, as I consider them main characters. Also, I’m excluding the number of mentions for Nesta and Cassian in ACOSF.
This graph shows the highest number of times each character’s name was mentioned in a single book, highlighting where they had the most frequent presence.
Since ACOSF is the longest book, it might seem like Gwyn and Emerie being mentioned more often than other characters is just due to its length. But even when accounting for this, they still top the list.
This graph shows the percentage of the maximum times each character’s name is mentioned in a single book compared to the total word count of that book.
So keep yapping. Gwyn and Emerie aren't just important and relevant to the plot; they have significant screen time.
My conclusion is...
Here is all the data I collected:
And a few more graphics in case it's something you're interested in:

I'm unsubscribing from 'fandom etiquette' if it's just going to be weaponized to avoid being questioned about harmful and bizarre behavior.
For the record, the trope of centuries-old age gaps was popularized by books like Twilight, where we even saw a baby paired with an adult. Back then, people questioned why immortal, ancient beings were being matched with underage girls. The 'solution'? Make the FMCs barely legal adults, so now we have 19-year-old FMCs with 500-year-old partners. Isn't progress wonderful? This didn't solve the problem or silence the criticism.
So, I'm not sure what kind of flex you think you're achieving by saying you're unbothered by being as problematic as canceled authors.
If you don't want to face ANY social scrutiny online, maybe start a cult and avoid interacting with others.
Nyxlin week and its organizers are another victim of this RAMPANT misguided moral policing that is going on in this fandom.
Let me be very clear: There is no morality in who you ship. None. Period. No exceptions.
These are FICTIONAL characters. They are not real people. People can use fiction in any way they like and the only thing you are allowed to do in response is walk away.
Bullying people off the internet for liking or making something you personally dislike - and your reason for disliking it is completely irrelevant - is toxic behavior and you are the asshole.
Violent video games don’t make people more violent. There is no such thing as thought crime. The most indecent and offensive art is still art. No one made you the art police.
#Why acknowledge bad behavior correct it and try to be better when we can just play the victim and harass people for sharing their opinions?#acotar fandom
