“It wasn’t a bargain,” Cassian kept his eyes on her as he spoke to Azriel. “I was under the impression we were all trying to trust each other.” Now he flicked his eyes to the other male, “at least for the duration of the war.”

Azriel shrugged, “I don’t trust quite as easily as Rhys. It’ll take more than a few calculated words and some battle skill to win me over.” Nesta rather thought that should have been her line.

What if I told you that every bad thing Nesta said to Cassian was warranted because he didn’t respect her boundaries and constantly tried to “save her” even though she didn’t want it.

Nessian and Gwynriel Connection

This is from the Nessian Bonus Chapter:

"But he could feel Nesta's attention...could feel those blue-gray eyes on him. The feeling chased him all the way back to Velaris"

Now look at the last little bit for Azriel's Bonus Chapter:

"He could picture it, though...how Gwyn's teal eyes might light upon seeing the necklace. For whatever reason... he could see it." & "Azriel tucked away the thought of Gwyn's eyes lighting up... buried the image down deep, where it glowes quietly." Where it would stay with him!!

Both of these chapters left with Cassian and Azriel remarking on their potential love interest eyes and left feeling something that stayed with them.

While this might be a bit of a stretch to some... I feel like this is a possible parallel connection that points us to a Gwynriel endgame even more.

Ive seen a lot of weird things in the acotar fandom but the weirdest might be the Cassian ´´stans´´

Like they all look at Rhysand and Azriel like big bad bloody warriors that are cold as death but then Cassian is some sunshine pookie bear?

Like yall are acting as if he does not have the most muscle, isnt the tallest has 7 red siphons and the general of the night courts army.

As if he isnt the one to train newcomers.

As if he didnt shred a whole village apart for his mom

Like its just weird....

Ember telling Nesta that she will find her way just breaks my fucking heart because the first half of the book is all Nesta in her element, doing as she pleases with her bestie Azriel, still doing what’s in the best interest of her family and just truly being her absolute best self and then the SECOND she’s back in the IC dynamic Ember is just watching her get berated for making a decision that we all know Feyre would also make. Like clearly Nesta expressed to Ember her turmoil over all of this and it makes me want to hug her and also slap Cassian.

It’s so tragic to see the dichotomy in one book of Nesta at her absolute best killing a fucking Asteri and then she goes HOME and … that …

I just … I have to dream that there’s something else for Nesta. A real home. Real acceptance.
