it really fucking annoys me when people act like aziraphale only wants the angel version of crowley . i mean , yes . aziraphale still sees the angel in crowley . but an angel who didn’t ask to fall and didn’t deserve to fall . and an angel isn’t all he sees crowley for . i mean , he wasn’t pining friends with crowley for 6000 + years holding out hope that crowley would become an angel again or only seeing angel crowley because crowley isn’t like any of the angels aziraphale knows . he’s crowley . he’s not angelic or demonic but he’s crowley , and that’s what aziraphale loves .

crowley’s love for humanity has got be my favorite thing . he’s seen it all . he’s seen the absolute worst side of it , and he loves it anyways . crowley , you beautiful soul . what a terrible punishment it must be to have a heart that bleeds as much as yours .

what an agonizing existence aziraphale must have . to be overflowing with love . to be forbidden from loving .

something very simple about aziraphale and crowley that is maybe my favorite thing about them is that they always find their way back to each other . i mean , in their earlier meetings when communication isn’t so readily available , it’s more or less implied that they just bump into each other . and even when aziraphale pops up to ‘ intervene ‘ in crowley’s ‘ evil ‘ plans , most of the time he doesn’t know it’s crowley . and crowley is consistently given random opportunities to pop up and save aziraphale . none of it is intentionally planned .

anyways , my point is this . no matter the circumstances , on good terms or not , crowley and aziraphale always have , and always will wind up by each other’s sides , whether it’s intentional or not . no matter how long it takes . because they are simply fated .

aziraphale remembers his and crowley’s first meeting and conversation word for word . crowley tries not to he doesn’t like remembering being an angel , but the memory of seeing aziraphale’s beautiful grin for the first time beams through his mind like the sunshine itself .

up in heaven sometimes the other angels can’t find archangel aziraphale . no one looks to the stars . but there he is . and without his crowley , they only bring minimal comfort .

me : what was aziraphale going to say before he left with the metatron ? “ i think i - “ what ? what did he think ? was he finally finding the words to stand up for himself ? if he was , isn’t it a greater testament to his character and his self - sacrificial habits to stop himself in remembrance that what he was doing ( in his mind ) is for the greater good ? is he once again falling into old habits of swallowing his words for fear of rejection from heaven ? i have to know what he was going to say

oh my god . guys . azirpahale’s whole thing is that he’s SAFE . he doesn’t go fast . he tends to hold onto things of comfort . he lives a relatively quiet life in a bookshop . i think we all know that him saying “ nothing lasts forever “ was his “ i love you “ because he’s willing to give his bookshop up . but it’s so much MORE than that . it’s him giving up that safety , that certainty . it’s him saying “ i don’t need to be safe and steady anymore because i’ll have you with me and you matter more . i WANT to give that up because you’ll be with me . “

can someone give my sweet aziraphale a break like hes constantly going through it if one persons not putting him down someone else is like FUCK he’s trying

in case y’all didn’t know golden yellow ( the color of crowley’s eyes ) and blue ( the color of aziraphale’s eyes ) are directly across from each other on the color wheel which makes them complimentary colors ( colors that go together )

if you go back and look at The Scene in e6 , when crowley says “ you idiot , we could have been us “ aziraphale turns away from him . now , i have an evaluation for this ( because of course i do ) . aziraphale physically turns away from crowley twice that we see ( i’m pretty sure ) . once , by the duck pond when crowley requests the holy water . and the second time in the bentley when aziraphale told crowley he goes too fast . so i think the subtlety of aziraphale turning away a third time is a BIG prompter for crowley to kiss him in the first place . because he’s seen this film before ( and he didn’t like the ending ) . maybe , just maybe if he actually does something this time things could be different .
