had the opportunity to hook up with someone i really care about as a person. love even, as a friend. we've hooked up in the past. but that was before i fell in love.

i couldn't do it. i felt sick with anxiety at the thought of giving love to someone else. sure that it would be bad and i would be bad at it because i knew that i still have feelings for someone who is barely present in my life anymore.

Where did you get that activity bingo card? Did you make it? If so, how did you decide what went on it?

I made it! Lots of people do them as kind of a new years resolution thing. My friend @dezlet mentioned he was working on his, and even though it was February I figured I’d try making one for 2025. I admit I didn’t think that hard about what to put on it. I just made a 5x5 grid (5x6 if you count the header row), thought about some stuff that I would like to do more of, printed it out on cardstock, and taped it to the wall. I put cat stickers on stuff I’ve done.

You can make your own in a word processor or in a graphics editor. Here’s one I made for you (plural you, all of Tumblr) in MS Paint.

One thing I would suggest in making your own is to make your goals definitively achievable things that you can’t lock yourself out of. I see a lot of personal bingo cards that have stuff like “keep my room clean" or “stick to an exercise routine” on them. Those aren’t easily measurable goals that you can definitively mark “complete,” and if at some point your room gets messy or you skip your routine then, well, are you still allowed to mark them off? “Get rid of 1 box of clutter” or “run a mile” are distinctly achievable.

My other suggestion is to make sure you put a bunch of things that are fun on there, too. It shouldn’t all be decluttering your closet and going to the dentist.
