hi!! i know that this work has been complete for quite a while now and it's STILL one of my top favorite stories and I recommend people to read it every chance I get. I was wondering if there's any latest projects you've been working on that we could follow along on nowadays too? Or any ways of supporting you guys?

still getting questions after all this time is a such real treat! please go support siins since i’m not as active on social media any more, given the mass migrations and current affairs. my time is split between a very demanding full time job in a whole different field, and entertaining myself in various ways so the world isn’t a darker and scarier place to currently live in.

several significant life changes have happened since i updated this blog: i have changed names (‘vu’) and pronouns (he/they) in the process of transitioning after a couple of rocky years being on the verge of realisation but never quite hitting it until…two and a half years ago. the irony of writing about arsenal’s struggles is very real. my creative energy is now invested in one off, original content; it’s all self indulgent, queer nonsense— but someday, i might decide to share it. when that day arrives, i’ll hopefully be more comfortable with exposing it to an online audience (again). thank you for your ask, it definitely made my day that you’d love to keep up with our creative works!

I'm rather curious. Out of all the fics from this AU you've written, which one is your personal favorite (fav to have written or fav in concept)? My favorite is a bullet with your name on it.

oh man, this is a hard question to answer, but ‘tlvh’ is the brainchild that really brought everything together and paid off after…months of planning and writing? that’s the crowning masterpiece.

vibe wise, i really liked ‘a bullet with your name on it’ because thematically, people don’t give enough credit for how online friendships be just as valuable and destructive like irl ones. imagine loving someone beyond ‘death’ to meticulously hunt their killer and ghost down, because you’ve been traveling on this road long enough that to do otherwise is literally unthinkable (and sneak in some fun while you’re at it).

there’s also different facets of characters being written throughout this fic; i remember that i wanted to give each of the characters who appeared to be more than just their stereotype, while being recognisable, distinct and complex. i wanted to give each of them a backstory, strengths, weaknesses, serious and not so serious moments, key relationships and flaws to round them out.

there are also what i like to call ‘load bearing’ characters. i.e., you take them out of the story at any given point and the entire thing simply collapses or folds over into a hot mess; rythian, ravs and teep’s friendship is one of those neat trios that if any one of them had died, the entire story would have ceased to exist or happened differently.

for a ‘faceless’ character, teep’s identity and core motivations are formed by their relationships to others even if they tried to cut said others out; it is hilarious that inevitably, they get dragged into this entire adventure by rythian and ravs by being present in the two’s proximity. that says a lot about teep’s character even if they don’t speak or try to minimise anything that could give them away by ‘talking,’ but that becomes their main tells and characteristics.

i could keep going but i nearly lost all of this via an app refresh so i’ll stop here for now; i’m also overdue for rereading just to see how different my current writing is, compared to the stuff on ao3.

good time to also note that if anyone is wondering why none of the works are showing up publicly, there was an incident a while back with ao3 being used as a ‘source’ to train those things, so all works have been locked to ao3 users as a protective measure.

Hey it's your anon bookbinder *waves*. It's taking me awhile for various reasons, but I wanted to ask a question that's been bugging me. If you don't mind, I'm really curious as to what variant of English you use. I've noticed both US and UK spellings. While I'm aware other variants exist, I don't know enough to identify the distinctions at a glance.

the answer is both, depending on which word processor and google doc i’m in since there is no option for australian english so the inconsistencies will continue to exist!

IT WORKED! this was apparently too spicy for the filters so i had to quickly figure out to get past that obstacle to reach the sweet, glorious prize of this majestic work of art! BUT SUCCESS!

what really pops are the colours; i 100% forgot that when the original four are together, they manage to achieve every colour of the rainbow (lalna’s sunburn is orange, rythian is the cheat on indigo and of course, violet is replaced by violence). this is an absolute joy to look at because every pose and expression you’ve chosen fully encapsulates all their personalities and team dynamic.

rythian’s height (you managed to fit him in, which is a delight to see because i also forgot how tall he is) and pose absolutely brings out his default, tensile and serious personality, contrasted by nanosounds’ relaxed and ‘so what?’ posture; whatever she just blew up (technical, stray robot, a poor creature, rythian’s patience) is no longer a problem! is he proud of her? no. are they stranded now? probably. congrats! will strife is less concerned but likely on rythian’s side while lalna is firmly with nanosounds’. they have the stingrays! everything will be okay.

there’s a lot of little details in this art that are lovely: rythian’s long scarf hanging around his neck and how it drapes, the way his bandages are tied, how ragged his coat is, his electric blue eyes, the redness of strife’s outfit that doubles as a splash or colour in the desert, all the ruffled hair, so much ruffled hair, lalna’s mismatched shoelaces, his SUNBURN and goggles, the purple whorls of nanosound’s siren tattoos, to her dirt caked pants and boots, the little streak of purple in her hair, her casual slouching, and lastly, this exists as a single collective memory in their minds (and ours too) as just another day on pandora.

Re-read all of this au over the past couple weeks and I just wanna share my appreciation for y'all's work again!! It was great fun reacquainting with all the characters again, your characterisations of them are so vivid and wonderful and I just! Thanks again for bringing it to us. hi! sometimes i shake my head and go ‘this is what we COULD have had’ whenever i see the direction the current games are headed but this au still wins because we’ve been around for longer! this blog still gets activity here and there which is astounding considering how old it is now.

hello! dusts off this blog. ssshhh, it’s been a Year. Two Years, actually. thank you very much for enjoying the works! i don’t know how far you’ve read so please mind spoilers for the epilogue!

yes, he did leave dionysus illiterate. i get the feeling that he kicked around a lot in his schooling years and didn’t take it seriously. a lot of the time, he didn’t have the motivation to really succeed in the academic sense; he was too busy probably finding ways to help out around the place (which is how he got arrested trying to sell bootleg moonshine and the rest is history). when he left dionysus, he knew just enough to get by but ask him to read an entire book and he’ll cheerfully tell you he’d rather go wrestle a bullymong instead.

if he did stay, he would have likely become an alcohol tycoon from experimenting with secret family recipes and ended up very wealthy and alone. or delegated his responsibilites to go kick around the galaxy as a wanderer or a wanted man, to eventually putting down roots somewhere to run his own pub. definitely not on pandora! so life would have been very different for everyone and him. he might have even discovered he likes wearing pants.

teep, zylus and rythian (plus daltos, minty and arsenal) taught him how to read on a more comprehensive level; he still wouldn’t read an entire book (voluntarily or without an incentive involved), but he’s not...outright balking at it? if that makes sense? he definitely has a lot more confidence and could probably bluff his way through! which makes book club nights on the blackrock...very interesting.

your style, colours and expressions are very soft and gentle, and your lines too. you bring out the expressioms and poses incredibly well in all of these characters! even the smaller doodles too!
