the atlanta race massacre of 1906 is so informative in many ways and that’s why there is an organized political campaign to erase the history of black resistance, any kind of resistance honestly to the united statesof america and everything it stands for (an economy based in mass death, misery and racial sadism and pathology). the only thing that stopped a murderous racist rampage against african americans in the city of atlanta on septemeber 24th, 25th and the 26th was armed resistance. make of that what u will.

May i ask what podcast it is you mention in your tags?
I think its very important to remember that conservative reactionary sunni jihadists generally are allied with and serve the interests of global capitalism and imperialism in the past 100-150 years especially, although you can even pull examples from before that period. But like, McJihad is such an obvious and strong connection you can literally find Pakistani political writers in 1954 satirically suggesting the US/UK arm conservative Muslim reactionaries who were essentially the precursor to the modern Taliban if they truly wanted to turn Pakistan into their client state. Which like. It worked! The ISI has spent decades managing terrorists with the explicit approval and assistance of the United States.

hey remember that article I wrote about how Prometheus is actually a really interesting movie... if you just cut out all the boring and stupid shit? this one:
Job Willins' Paradise is that film.
it's a radical reimagining of Prometheus and Covenant as one continuous narrative about what happens when you tell your android son that he's the perfect being, and also a soulless servant incapable of appreciating the mind of God.
it's fantastic. absolutely the preferred way to watch these films.

“we often have to explain to young people why study is useful. it’s pointless telling them that it’s for the sake of knowledge, if they don’t care about knowledge. nor is there any point in telling them that an educated person gets through life better than an ignoramus, because they can always point to some genius who, from their standpoint, leads a wretched life. and so the only answer is that the exercise of knowledge creates relationships, continuity, and emotional attachments. it introduces us to parents other than our biological ones. it allows us to live longer, because we don’t just remember our own life but also those of others. it creates an unbroken thread that runs from our adolescence (and sometimes from infancy) to the present day. and all this is very beautiful.”
Umberto Eco

“caught in the crossfire” is crazy work when it’s your own reporter and it’s a video where you can just watch the cop aim directly at her and shoot her completely 100% on purpose with your own two eyes
