i dont fully get why ppl will block others and get into insane fights over others liking mahito, yeah he killed two fan faves ofc he's gonna be hated i hate him too, but 1. sakuna has killed and done sm more and ppl still love him and 2. mahito is a villian he is evil incarnate ofc hes gonna suck- B U T he wasnt like makima or endeavor yk like besides killing he didnt do too much else, he didnt rape ppl or abuse/manipulate kids, he was an amazing villian and i will die on this hill, especially the way he died was chefs kiss, he acted like a scared kid because thats pretty much what he was, he wasnt 'born' long ago and before that point he never came face to face with someone who he saw as able to kill him, he had never felt fear like that before and he reacted like a kid would and i love that sm
and like everything he did was out of pure curiosity and childlike enjoyment, he saw it like a kid would taking apart and putting together model cars or disecting owl pellets yk, im not defending him, im so glad he died but i love him sm as a character concept yk
anyways no one asked but i love yapping

12 ADHD hacks that are actually helpful
Record EVERYTHING in your phone's calendar app the moment you find out about it. Mine gives me an alarm automatically before the calendar time - has saved my ass many times.
Get a little bowl or equivalent for objects like keys. That's now your key bowl. You will not lose them ever again.
Write down deadlines as early before they're actually due as you can justify. My ADHD ass never remembers the actual due date. I get all of the stress fuelled productivity with none of the actual danger.
Handwrite notes. I have no idea why, but the process of pen and paper makes me remember things much better.
If you have to be somewhere like class or work, set aside time to go for a walk first. Honestly would be great all days, but I can't even make myself do this, so it's good if you have to be out anyway (and maybe would have been in waiting mode). Burning off energy helps my brain.
When retrieving laundry (ie its dry and you have to fold it), dump it all out in the most inconvenient place possible. I like the bed. It forces me to deal with it, rather than letting it sit there.
Turn on subtitles when you watch anything - even YouTube and live TV. I didn't realise how lifechanging this was until last year.
The Breath of the Wild soundtrack is weirdly the best background music ever. It's the perfect level of stimulating without distracting
Use text to speech for long walls of text. It's great.
Did I mention phone alarms? I use it for everything - ie when I know I might hyperfocus on something for too long.
There's literally no obligation to eat 3 meals at set times. If eating snacks throughout the day works better for you, then do that. There's also no shame in things like pre chopped fruit/veggies.
I struggle with transitions sometimes. A way around this is keeping a ton of water next to me. When I get frustrated about being stuck, I just drink as much water as I can. Eventually, this means I have to pee, and physically cannot ignore it. The act of going to the bathroom is sometimes enough to change activity.
Disclaimer that this is my own experience with ADHD, which may be totally different to someone else's. But hey, these are some things I've always found useful.
EDIT because this has a lot of reblogs wow! Please feel free to share even if you're a different type of neurodiverse, or even straight up neurotypical. At the end of the day most of these are focus/executive dysfunction tips, and I'm glad they're useful no matter what your situation is!

It’s so important to remember that tumblr is bad. Has been bad. And will likely remain bad for the foreseeable future. And that is vital to our survival. If Tumblr was a good website that worked, it would get turned into a corporate hellscape like every other site. It’s so important that Tumblr is broken and poorly run and impossible to effectively navigate. It’s all that’s keeping us safe.

Skip Google for Research
As Google has worked to overtake the internet, its search algorithm has not just gotten worse. It has been designed to prioritize advertisers and popular pages often times excluding pages and content that better matches your search terms
As a writer in need of information for my stories, I find this unacceptable. As a proponent of availability of information so the populace can actually educate itself, it is unforgivable.
Below is a concise list of useful research sites compiled by Edward Clark over on Facebook. I was familiar with some, but not all of these.
⁂
Google is so powerful that it “hides” other search systems from us. We just don’t know the existence of most of them. Meanwhile, there are still a huge number of excellent searchers in the world who specialize in books, science, other smart information. Keep a list of sites you never heard of.
www.refseek.com - Academic Resource Search. More than a billion sources: encyclopedia, monographies, magazines.
www.worldcat.org - a search for the contents of 20 thousand worldwide libraries. Find out where lies the nearest rare book you need.
https://link.springer.com - access to more than 10 million scientific documents: books, articles, research protocols.
www.bioline.org.br is a library of scientific bioscience journals published in developing countries.
http://repec.org - volunteers from 102 countries have collected almost 4 million publications on economics and related science.
www.science.gov is an American state search engine on 2200+ scientific sites. More than 200 million articles are indexed.
www.pdfdrive.com is the largest website for free download of books in PDF format. Claiming over 225 million names.
www.base-search.net is one of the most powerful researches on academic studies texts. More than 100 million scientific documents, 70% of them are free

The Dehumanisation of the Saiki Brothers
Sooo since y’all seemed to like it last time, here’s part two of late night rambles by Lia!! This time we’ll be focusing on the self dehumanisation both Saiki brothers seem to have and where exactly it came from!!
(Drawing I drew earlier today to break the monotony)
So, I’m sure all of us have notices Saiki constantly calls himself not human. The way he does it vary, either saying he’s so different he’s a different species, or saying he no longer counts as human. Whatever the way, our boy does not see himself as a normal human.
He uses this lack of humanity as an excuse for his lack of friends, but tbh I feel like there’s more to that than a simple coping mechanism.

(Example of Saiki calling himself a different species)
Like before, we’re gonna dig deep to their childhood to see where it started. Let’s start with Kuusuke.
I thinkkk Kuusuke is only two years older than Kusuo. Two years is probably young enough that he never realised just how smart he was.
In Kuusuke’s eyes, he’s a normal person. Then Kusuo gets born. Kusuo is anything but normal. Psychic powers aside, his early development happened at a rapid pace, so of course a young Kuuske couldn’t help but feel threatened.
As fast as he developed however, Kusuo was still a child, so before he even got to primary school, in both of the brother’s head, Kuusuke was a normal child, and Kusuo was abnormal.
This ended up affecting both children differently. In Kuusuke’s case, he developed an inferiority complex, seeing Kusuo as the superior being. Sure he found out other people weren’t as smart as him, but instead of seeing himself as superior to them, he saw them as inferior to him. To him, he was the norm, and they where less than human (I think he calls them ants?? But that might be from a fanfic idk).
This, of course, doesn’t make them worthless. While he doesn’t tend to care for random people, from where I see things he’s never put people in mortal peril, the few times he did he was sure Kusuo would save the day. To him, people are like, say, dogs. Another species all together, not necessarily bad not good.
Kusuo on the other hand, took it on a different way. He sees himself as different from others, so he can’t help but to feel as if he doesn’t fit in. His only equal (or close to) would be his super genius brother, but because Kuusuke doesn’t consider them as equals and keeps forcing Kusuo into “battles” and games he doesn’t want to play, Kusuo doesn’t see it that way.
Since a very young age, Kusuo has felt as if he doesn't belong. Not only that but the only time Kusuo made a friend, a lot of kids ended up hurt, so past the Akechi(?) incident he not only sees himself as a different species, but also a dangerous one that hurts people.
He dreams of being average (fitting in) to the point of obsession (seriously that ain't healthy) wishes to lose his very useful powers because in his eyes, they're what make him different. tbh i see Kusuo's rejection of his powers the same way internalised homophobia works. (at least in my case) you feel different, like no one in your life gets you, and feel like you'll never get the happy ending you want unless you change, but you cant change.
Saiki feels like he’s different, he doesn’t fit in, he hurts people, and also is hiding a HUGE secret from everyone.
All of that said, at the beginning of the manga, this scene happened.

And Kusuo had a lightbulb moment. That entire chapter he’s been saying how it’s impossible for him to make friends, since they’re not even the same species, yet when that little girl mentions how her best friend is a dog, the idea gets past his defences.
Oh yeah, people can have friends of different species huh?
Sure it doesn’t fix all of his problems, but one of the biggest walls was knocked down right there.
(Also have you noticed how most of the people Saiki let’s hang out with him all have some sort of double life? He relates to Kaidou’s chunnibyo-ness, even his his powers are real. Aaren’s secret past is like how Saiki also has a secret he ain’t telling his friends. Even Nendou’s and Teruhashi personality vs looks thing, none of his friends are what they seem at first glance (except perhaps Yumehara…). Idk it’s probably a gag but I like how he surrounds himself with similar kinds of people. )
Then come Aiura and Toritsuka! Saiki finally finds people like him. Sure they’re not exactly the same, but it’s people he doesn’t have to keep a secret from, who unlike his dad and brother, aren’t obsessed with using/beating him. (Well… Aiura isn’t).
Tbh I consider Aiura Kusuo’s most important friend, they both have something they relate to and seem to enjoy each other’s company without his typical tsundere double speak. Tbh the only thing setting her back is the insistence that they’re soulmates. Maybe it’s bc I hate lack of choice but the idea I cant make my own future kinda pisses me off and I think being told who he’ll end up with annoys Saiki. If it weren’t for that I’d probably hella ship it, but for now it’s my #3 ship. (After #1 aro/ace saiki and #2 Satou/Saiki) Platonic soulmates ftw.
Ugh I kinda got way out of topic but am too lazy to edit it… I’m sorry, have a Saiki bros interaction as an apology, byeeee!!

Witchy things to do with your ash
Put it above your door: If your ash comes from incense or an herb bundle, the ash shares the same correspondences and power as the herb. I’ve met some who think it’s even stronger, as it’s been activated. You can either use the bundle to make a light mark above a door frame or it can be done with a finger. This can be powerful protection, luck bringing, or love inducing, depending on your intent and correspondence
Use it in spells: Why get rid of something so powerful? As mentioned, the ash still has power and energy. Your correspondence is based on what was burned. You can use it in place of that herb if you’re out, or in addition.
Use it in anointing: While it’s often used in conjunction with oil, ash has a long history of being used in anointing. Burning holy herbs, and then using a finger to swipe cooled ash onto someone being anointed is a powerful piece of the ceremony
Bury it: A lot of witches, including myself, find that burying the remnants of a spell is incredibly powerful. It’s often seen as giving respect to the earth for the power it gives. The phrase ashes to ashes, dust to dust comes to mind. It’s essentially the ending of a spell, returning the ash to the earth
Ward your home: Sprinkling protective herbs and ash around the perimeter of your home can help ward against negative energy and evil spirits.
Mix it in to art: Did you know you can make your art magic? Through sigils, colors, intention and more. But one possibility is to mix a bit of ash into your paints or use it as a charcoal substitute

Happy International Asexuality Day!!
💚💜♠️ sending so much love to any tumblr folk who are on the asexual spectrum like me &/or are aroace ♠️💜💚
♠️What is Asexuality?♠️
An Asexual is a person who rarely or never experiences sexual attraction. They are not drawn to people sexually and do not feel compelled to act on attraction to others in a sexual way. Asexuality does not preclude you from experiencing other types of attraction (including romantic attraction) to people of the same or different gender to yourself, or define whether you want to be in a committed relationship.
💜Why is awareness important? 💜
An absence of attraction is much harder to define than a presence; and lack of awareness means many people have no idea that there are words to describe their experiences or others who feel the same. While the term has been in common use since the 1960s, many people are well over the age of 25 when they first hear the word - especially if they experience romantic attraction to the opposite gender and haven’t had much exposure to the broader LGBTIQAP+ community. When you’re told all of your life that romantic feelings about someone are inextricably linked to sexual attraction it can be confusing when your experiences don’t seem to match. It can also be hard to tell what is hyperbole and what are thoughts that allosexual (the opposite of asexual) people have the intention of doing?
There is are strong social and cultural messages which use the development of sexual thoughts, sexual relationships and having children as markers of age and maturity. It can be difficult to express a lack of sexual desire without being invalidated or challenged by the people around you or your own built in expectation that sex is fundamental to being human. Are you medically or psychologically unwell? Are you repressed? Broken? Prudish? A late bloomer? Will this “all make sense” when I meet “the right person”?
While most identities on the LGBTIQAP+ spectrum are becoming better protected from medicalisation and psychiatric diagnosis - Asexuality has a long way to go.
It is still very common for people who are questioning or on the Asexuality spectrum to be offered medical testing and treatment aimed at curing their Asexuality. Most GPs still routinely recommend blood tests to check hormone levels, assessment for depression or other mental illnesses, recommend counselling or prescribe medication to boost libido.
.
♠️Celibacy Vs Asexuality♠️
Celibacy is like being on a diet. You still want to have sex and have sexual thoughts about others but are choosing not to act on them at that time. Whether it’s based on your beliefs or availability of a suitable partner varies but that desire is still present even if intentionally suppressed.
Asexuality is like not experiencing hunger because you’re already eaten enough. You don’t have sexual thoughts about others or feel compelled to act on them.
💜Attraction Vs Libido💜
Libido is typically the amount that you think about sex and how much you want to engage in sexual activities either partnered or solo. Libido is on a spectrum for people of all sexual orientations. They normally range from high to low. Libido can fluctuate and change over the lifespan and it can be influenced by hormone levels as well as some medications.
Attraction is usually whether your libido is directed at a particular person or type of person. Attraction can also be seen as the extent to which you want to act on sexual thoughts about a particular person.
Asexual people can and do experience a range of libidos from high to low. However they do not experience sexual attraction, therefore are less likely to feel compelled to act on it and rarely associate it with a specific person.
♠️Attitudes towards Sex♠️
Asexuality is a wide spectrum, individual wants and needs vary but all are valid and normal.
In broad terms: Some asexuals are sex favourable, they may not experience sexual attraction but still get pleasure out doing sexual intimate acts with others. Some asexuals are ambivalent towards sex, it’s something they can take or leave. Some asexuals are completely or partially repelled by the idea of personally participating in sexual activity with a partner.
