IT    WAS    NOT    AGAINST    THE    RULES    ,    WAS    IT    .    guard    stood    attention    ,    guarded    the    door    as    he    was    told    to    .    meeting    behind    closed    doors    (    secrets    ,    all    these    secrets    )    &    the    jedi    padawan    next    to    him    ,    HAD    BEEN    IN    HIS    PRESENCE    FOR    A    WHILE    NOW    .    talked    to    him    every    now    and    then    and    always    seemed    to    FIND    HIM    .    «    I    believe    that    if    the    saber    you    had    was    supposed    to    be    your    LIFE    …    then    you    would    not    have    lost    it    .    perhaps    ,    it    was    the    will    of    the    force    .    »    deep    loyalty    ,    trust    in    the    force    .    A    JEDI    KNIGHT    HE    WAS    ,    a    jedi    knight    he    always    would    be    …    [    ?    ]    «    a    jedi’s    lightsaber    is    their    life    ,    i    assume    -    the    weapon    you    forged    was    not    MEANT    to    be    yours    .    »

it   wasn't   abnormal   to   find   the   young   padawan   here…   legs   crossed,   lightsaber   in   their   lap.      he   often   spent   his   free   time   curled   up   beside   the   temple   guard.      watching,   learning.      he   was   a   fountain   of   endless   questions.      who's   that?      why   are   they   here,   again?         today,   though,   their   focus   is   split   between   the   guard   whom   he   so   adored,   and   his   newly-formed   'saber.      fingers   move   gingerly   over   the   handle,   admiring   his   own   handiwork.         ❝         i   wish   my   master   saw   it   that   way.      he   just   thinks   i'll   lose   this   one   too   but…      i   feel   like   this   one   is   meant   for   me.         ❞         he'd   been   drawn   towards   the   design   in   a   dream,   and   had   been   desperate   to   recreate   it.         ❝         it   feels   more   important…   more   mine.         ❞         gaze   lifts   from   the   weapon   in   his   hands,   peering   up   at   the   masked   guard.         ❝         does   that   make   sense   ?         ❞
