s1 is just. i love you grainy unfocused shots of cemeteries and foggy roads no one travels. i love you john’s journal as a bible. i love you sam driving the impala casually with dean sleeping in the passenger seat. i love you jessica moore and sarah blake and cassie robinson. i love you dark motels with neon signs and dusty libraries with huge lore books. i love you side character serving as a mirror to the winchesters. i love you cleaning guns and wounds and sharpening of knives and gas stations and flip phones and laptop stickers. i love you small towns where time stands still with something unknowable and hungry lurking in the shadows. i love you angry psychic sam and dean trying his best with a leather jacket too big for him. i love you looming presences of john and mary. i love you homemade and flawed equipment. i love you horror and tragedy and blood. i love you dramatic lighting and silhouettes. i love you folklore and local legends. i love you -

System reminder list, except for once it's not written by someone who's anti-endogenic.
You likely don't know everything about your system, and this means that sometimes you'll be wrong about something related to your system. This doesn't mean you're faking or making things up. It just means that you made a small mistake or lapse in judgement, which isn't a moral failing. Just because you realized something about your system may be different than you previously thought, it doesn't mean you deceived people (or yourself) about your plurality.
Not all switches are the same. Switches can take hours, seconds, or minutes to go through; they can come with no dissociation or dissociation so bad that from an outsider's perspective it looks like you shut down; switching can be done with only one headmate knowing what's happening; it can be done without anyone knowing what's happening; it can be difficult or easy to switch – point is, there's a large variety in switches as a whole, and it's likely that you'll experience a variety of switches too.
Any neurodivergencies you have are likely to affect your plurality. If you have disorders such as MaDD or schizophrenia, one or more alters may hold more symptoms than others so other sysmates don't have to deal with them. Memory-affecting disorders may worsen amnesia, or even be a cause of amnesiac barriers. Sysmates may specifically form because of certain disorders. There are many ways that other neurodivergencies can affect your plurality, so don't think of it as a sign of faking – it's really not.
After you first discover your system, you may experience a new burst in system members. This isn't an uncommon experience; there are many factors at play in this situation that could explain the sharp increase in sysmate count. Changes in mental/dissociative/spiritual barriers, stress and worry over being plural, just plain brain weirdness, and a lot of other reasons can result in more sysmates forming when you first learn about your system, which may cause worry as to whether your experiences are real. I promise, new sysmates do not indicate fakeness.
Introjects do not work on a "first come, first serve" basis. You may have multiple introjects of the same character/person, especially if you're a larger system or have a lot of attachment towards certain characters/people.
It's okay to not know who you are or who's fronting. These experiences aren't always fun, but they happen, and they'll pass in time. You may need to ground yourself or focus on your own identity during these times, and that's okay. Unsurety isn't a moral failure.
Relationships between system members can be complicated. Headmates can date, consider each other family, work for/serve someone, and have pretty much any other kind of relationship there is. Sometimes, relationships are complicated and weird, and it's best to just go with the flow.
Everyone's plural experiences are going to be at least a little different from each other. Don't define yourself by what is common or constantly compare yourself to other systems! No two systems are identical, and that means no two experiences are going to be identical. It can help to look to similar experiences for occasional guidance, but using what's common as a "guideline" for yourself may harm your system in the long run. (Or others! You shouldn't judge others for being "too stereotypical" or "too different." Plurality is a widely varied phenomenon and what that variety ends up looking like in certain cases may surprise you.)

Here’s some positivity for headmates who are depression holders!
Having a the system role of holding onto negative, harmful, or uncomfortable symptoms can be exhausting and challenging for any system member. Regardless of how well your system functions, it can still be so hard to be a symptom holder for something painful like depression! This post is for headmates who are depression holders in their systems!
Shoutout to headmates who have been sad or depressed for as long as they can remember!
Shoutout to headmates who struggle with active or passive suicidal thoughts!
Shoutout to headmates whose past traumas have caused them to hold their system’s depression!
Shoutout to headmates who appear upbeat, happy, and cheerful despite being their system’s depression holders!
Shoutout to headmates who are incredibly emotional and tend to cry or get upset easily!
Shoutout to headmates who willingly took on a depression holder role to benefit the rest of their system!
Shoutout to headmates who are taking medication, seeking therapy, or are in some other form of treatment for their depression!
Shoutout to headmates who don’t know how to properly cope with their depression, or who have harmful or negative coping strategies!
Shoutout to headmates whose depression has caused them to always feel tired, exhausted, despondent, or lethargic!
Shoutout to headmates who can’t just “snap out of it” when they’re depressed, and who feel sad more than they feel happy!
Shoutout to headmates who help their system function and take care of important tasks even while dealing with depression!
Shoutout to headmates whose depression has caused their system to be hospitalized or institutionalized in the past!
Shoutout to headmates whose depression has made it hard for their system to maintain proper hygiene, stay fed and hydrated, or even get out of bed!
Those who are depression holders serve vital, often thankless roles in their systems. To every depression holder out there, we want to let you know that we see you, we understand your struggles, and we’re wishing you the very best!
Please try to treat yourself with gentle kindness, even if it’s hard! Know that you’re an important member of your system just like the rest of your headmates, and you’re deserving of peace, comfort, and joy just the way you are! We hope that soon you can learn positive coping skills in order to allow your whole system a better quality of life. Until then, know that we’re rooting for you and we wish you the very best! Thanks so much for reading, and take care!

Yea but... DID/OSDD come with ptsd. Post traumatic STRESS disorder, as in, you still experience stress from the trauma after its ended. DIDOSDD are inherently stressful disorders to have, so its completely possible that people can split "just cus". Its not actually for no reason. it's just perceived as that because we dont know a non stressful existence.
Idk if that comes off angry, im not. Just dont want people to feel invalidated for splitting "with no reason" because there most likely IS a reason. /nm

You need trauma or extreme stress to split!!!!
i recently seen a larger (400-500 likes.. lets be srs..) post on twitter where people are saying you can split just because HUH?? it doesnt work like that. you need trauma or stress to split, you dont split because you like a character or because you put on a hat (yes these were really things they said 🧍🏼‍♂️) if you split an introject after watching a show it was due to something going on surrounding you watching that show.
DID/OSDD is a coping mechanism that your brain uses in order to survive. it is stemmed from TRAUMA. even if you split easier later on because..maybe youre extremely sensitive or maybe youre still in the environment of what caused you to have DID/OSDD in the first place! and thats so valid. but whats not valid, whats not a thing, is splitting “just because” your brain will not separate parts of itself just because it felt like it. you dont get to say that about forming a system (endos 😒) and you dont get to say that about splitting later on in life either.

Introducing...
The million dollar question!
Did it happen,
Did I imagine it,
Did my sysmate do it,
Did I dream it or was I just so disassociated it feels like it wasn't real?

We love you. We hope something good happens to you today. We hope something will make you laugh, giggle, or at least crack a smile. We hope that you will surprise yourselves with how refreshed and invigorated you feel. We hope your inspiration, motivation, and energy return to you.
Things will get better, of this we are certain. But we do hope that things will get better for you sooner rather than later.
Please keep going. Please keep holding on. We believe in you. We love you.

hi this is a niche post. If you're plural in a way that would make others uncomfortable, i love you and i know. i know why you can't talk about your inner-system relationships. i know why you don't talk about your introjects. i know why you can't explain your triggers, or what your inner world looks like. i know why you can't talk about your roles.
do whatever works for you and your selves. being plural is messy and difficult and you don't owe anyone an explanation. they might not get it. i get it. i love you

I'm practically scooping corey up bc he's so depressed but we can't go back there . Unfortunately, i have to fight him for the front so we don't slip back into another depressive episode. I dn't blame him, though, it's not his fault that he holds that shit.
