anyway you should always remember that all those foreigners you see dying on the news are just as real people as you are who have just as much interiority as you do. there is nothing about you that makes you more important and it is by pure chance that you are not in their position. in fact, this holds for all of history. every person, no matter the horror of the fate that befell them, had just as much interiority as you do. i feel like some people haven't fully internalized this.

We are seeing an increase in medical emergencies where families need to secure funds as soon as possible. This is the case for Elaf Babiker and her family.
They are Sudanese refugees who have evacuated to Egypt. As they settle down, her aunt collapsed on Christmas Eve and was rushed to the hospital. She was diagnosed with brain stem hematoma, which meant her brain was bleeding! She was in intensive care, relying on the ventilator, as she was unable to breathe on her own, but the doctors required $1,700 USD for her month long stay in the hospital!
They will discontinue her treatment if we do not raise the amount in time! So please donate and share! There is $124 USD left to go! You can match me. I have given $5, but you're more than welcome to give any amount! ! !
Verification: #165 in the vetted fundraisers' spreadsheet by @/el-shab-hussein and @/nabulsi. Also listed on sudanfunds.com!
$23,680 / $35,000 USD

Nikki's white but finding out that I was this close to having my favorite book series as a kid have a black mc is so irritating . I always knew she was based off of the authors daughter in terms of personality, but I never knew she was supposed to be black too omg
Like wdym the character I related to the most as a kid couldve been black?? But she wasnt bc editors said it wouldnt sell?? 😃 And knowing that she wrote it for her daughter so her daughter could like, feel better about herself and who she was makes this so much more messed up?
Tumblr media
Literally named Nikki after her own daughter, basically her in every way BUT her race, oh okay 😐
We got 101 book series about little or teen white girls being quirky outcasts, but there couldn't be 1 with a black mc?? Okay 👎🏾
I despise the “quirky biracial Black girl” trope even more after finding out Nikki from Dork Diaries, and all the original Cheetah Girls were all meant to be Black girls
Like I literally didn’t care for Dork Diaries cuz I was tired seeing white girls be the sole focus of these stories, along with their best friend of color. Finding out that the series was written by a Black woman who based Nikki off of her own daughter, but editors told her that Black girls don’t sell pisses me off
Turning Black girls biracial because you can’t envision a monoracial Black girl as silly, cute, or going through average teen problems is a skill issue

I'm bringing you an investment opportunity in Gaza for just $10.
$10! Yes, only $10.
For Ahmed, a student from Gaza, $10 was enough to restore hope for himself and his family, imagine that.
He was displaced from northern Gaza, and the displacement was enough to justify him stopping his studies. When he returned from the displacement, he found his house destroyed and his friends martyred. He promised his mother and father that he would rebuild their home and provide for his family after the occupation bombed his father's workplace.
Ahmed didn't give up and kept trying to continue his education.
A $10 donation, a simple gesture for you, the price of a juice or coffee, but for us in Gaza, we were able to restore hope to Ahmed and his family with this amount.
With $10, you won't just be helping a student, but an entire family whose dreams are hanging on their son, who promised to rebuild their home.
So, let's ask ourselves:
How many like Ahmed are still in Gaza that we haven't been able to reach?
Did you know that there are 90,000 university students, and these university students are supposed to be the breadwinners for their families in light of the difficult situation?
90,000 students and future heads of families have lost their places in education and lost hope of having a decent life in this country.
Tumblr media
Support a student today so that he can support his family and his country. Invest $10, be a part of rebuilding Gaza.
Campaign donation link or PAYPAL
The student is waiting for you... don't let him down.
We are trying to save up for next month's rent which is $2000 $5000/$7000 now

"Desperate, hungry people in Gaza continue to face the inhumane choice of either starving to death or risk being killed while trying to get food,” UN spokesperson Thameen al-Kheetan said in Geneva.
” But here in Gaza… we no longer speak of choices — because we no longer have any,” This is what @zinaanqar16 father told me
Ahmed, a father of four, sits helplessly as his infant daughter cries without tears — her mother has no milk left, and hope has vanished from his eyes.
He told me:
"If I stay, I die with them in silence. If I go out, I may die alone. But I can’t bear to watch them starve and do nothing." He’s not asking for a dignified life — just a piece of bread to extend his children's lives by one more day. Just one can of baby formula… to keep his daughter from dying slowly.
In Gaza, fatherhood means offering your body to feed your children. It means becoming a potential martyr just to bring home a sip of water. It means walking into death — only to delay the death of those you love.
What kind of world is this? What conscience allows a people to be trapped between starvation and fire?
Save those who remain in Gaza… before silence becomes a mass death certificate. Please donate help Zeina’s Family

I don't know what else to say to people, fr. If you don't care by now, two years in, I'm not sure how else to make you 😅 but for the sake of humanity and Palestinians, I will keep going.
@aburakhiaibrahim Ibrahim is still fundraising to leave Gaza and reconnect his family with his sister Samah in Canada! All of his proof is here, including his official letters, and whom his campaign is officially vetted by.
If you want to do some good today, why not pick his campaign? Donate if you can, share if you cannot 🙏🏾

Gaza Updates:
– At least 48 Palestinians have been killed by Israel since dawn, including 33 people waiting for aid.
– Al-Awda Hospital reports 60 people wounded by occupation forces near the Netzarim Corridor aid distribution point.
A message from us:
– Israel continues bombing across Gaza, with occupation ground forces destroying what remains of homes and infrastructure in the north.
With everything going on, Gaza is being forgotten. The genocide has not stopped and the forced starvation, mass slaughter of civilians and destruction of homes and infrastructure continues.
Please keep sharing videos, stories, and testimonies from Gaza on your socials. Go to marches, take direct action, educate people on BDS and use our resources to keep Gaza in peoples minds 🫂
Don't forget that we need help. Donate to us. We are going through very difficult circumstances and hunger is exhausting our bodies. Donate here

I’m sure most of you have seen the video of the Palestinian boy that went viral
talking about hunger, fear, and life in Gaza.
He wasn’t just speaking for himself... he was speaking for all of us.
I live in Gaza too. And I’m living the same reality — struggling to find food, to stay safe, to keep hope alive.
If his words touched you, please know there are many of us going through this every single day.
Any support — a share, a kind word, a donation — can make a real difference.
