It was part of how he grew up, and he's always taken it to heart. Normally he brings a memento or food - people always want food whilst they're moving. He just likes seeing people smile and letting them know he's there for them!

He had no idea all the hermits were waiting for the opportunity to repay him. xB was excited to have Keralis move in, and talked about it plenty. He didn't expect so many people to bring gifts either! He knows Keralis deserves every single one, though.

He kisses Keralis's cheek, helping find places for each one. This is going to add so much time to unpacking, but they have so many offers of help as well!

Grian is a very powerful God, but he doesn't care much for displaying it. Or worship, for that matter. If a hermit gifts him a little obsidian ring, or some crops from an especially efficient farm, he just considers it a normal gift.

To be honest, everyone kind of... forgot. That he was a God. The most they do is tease him for being a "Teeny Tiny God" (he made sure Ren bonked his head for that little comment). He's a hermit, divine or not, so he wasn't treated differently. Except that time Doc and Zed tried to get him to reshape bedrock into weapons. He wanted to, but Xisuma said no. Spoilsport.

All of this is to say: when another pantheon broke onto Empires, everyone forgot they had a God of their own to defend them. And defend he did.

He might not be the best at normal combat, but these Gods want to attack his hermits? He's fighting dirty.

Turns out, not knowing how to fight traditionally doesn't really matter when you're raining down Void Fire and rending the ground into past-the-bedrock traps and summoning withers.

He kept trying to offer peace, if only so his mortals wouldn't need to see so much death.

They didn't take it.

It might not be his favorite thing ever, but he would burn a thousand pantheons for his hermits.

Grian finds Gods so out of touch nowadays. It's been so long since the majority stepped foot among players. They don't understand their culture, or see the value in their achievements. Grian's always wanted more. What's the point in caring for what he doesn't understand?

The hermits took him in as one of them, and Grian happily lived that life. He let his skills fade to the background, relishing in splinters and dirt under his nails and aching muscles at the end of a long day. It made snuggling up with a hermit (or two or three or-) that much better.

He's almost disappointed when he has to use them to fight. Almost.

It is fun to let loose, and oh they chose the wrong server to attack. Because he hasn't let loose like this for a long time.
