After playing Far Cry 6, I was itching to play more, so I downloaded and played through Far Cry Primal over the last week or so. Wound up getting the platinum for it. I had played it previously on PC but that was years ago. I honestly forgot just how short it was compared to the other Far Cry games, which typically take me anywhere from 50 to 100 hours to complete. This one I rounded off in about 25.
It’s a Far Cry game so if you’ve played one, then that’s all you really need to know. However, the setting being 10,000 BCE was the interesting part. Instead of guns, we’re using bow/arrow, spears, clubs, and some basic “bombs.” Nothing more fun than chucking a “Sting Bomb” at a group of enemies and watching the angry bees go to town. Taming beasts was also neat, even though the pathing for the AI often times lead to them dying and me needing to revive them. And, I must say, hunting the 4 special beasts was kind of memorable, especially compared to Far Cry 6′s forgettable mythical beasts.
The only downside is I did play this on my PS5 and it apparently has issues on the system. In the 25 or so hours that it took me to complete, the game froze and crashed about 30 times. Thankfully I kept my save backed up. Looking the problem up I couldn’t find a solution, just that it seemed to be happening on PS5 a fair bit.

I just want to say that I love all my little (and big) animal companions in Far Cry 6.

Finished Far Cry 6. I liked it a lot more than 5 but I think 3 is still my favorite. But dear Ubi: Stop making like hour-long credits. Yes, I can skip them, but what if they stick a cutscene in the middle of them? I know the game is over but I don't want to miss anything.

So far this was the best side mission in Far Cry 6. Why? Because this Logan Paul/YouTuber-bro proxy comes to a war torn country for likes and views and winds up getting killed at the end of it due to his own stupidity. Poetry.

It took me a little bit to realize this, but this is Kashiwagi. Last seen in Yakuza 3 where he had an unfortunate accident with the mounted guns on a helicopter. Well... I’m surprised to see him alive and working as a bartender in another city where the protagonists hang out. Neat but... Took a while for his return, eh? Though, makes sense, considering he was the founder of an organization that helped rehabilitate yakuza who wanted out of the life. Guess he used it for himself.

I just wanted to say that I don’t mind shipping in general. However, what I do dislike is when people try to force their shipping of characters on you as canon. Sorry, it’s not. You’re just delusional. This extends also to people who assume a character’s sexuality when it’s never explicitly stated and projects it as truth. This can bleed over in to shipping as well but is a separate issue, in my opinion. Stop acting like your theory is the truth.

Saeko has become my favorite character with this. Surprised the old man was the one who got on her case about it. Kind of disappointed in Adachi for it.
I use whatever speech I want. I try to be respectful to my friends if they don't like certain things, but I'm not going to bend over backwards, either. Take me for how I am or not at all. In general? I'm not here in this life to impress anyone.
So, yeah, hi. I'm Bouxkan, or Bou for short. Ryu ga Gotoku games are my absolute favorite and I'm probably just going to post random stuff from them with my own little commentary or remarks on it. I'm currently playing through "Like a Dragon" after having it sit on my backlog for a year or so. Life has kind of been hectic so haven't been able to keep up with everything like I like to.
My thoughts on LAD so far? Being a fan of the series since 2005, I have always enjoyed the dramatic storytelling of the games, and even the whacky, silly story telling of the side stories, but the beat'em up factor was never my favorite thing about the series. I grew up on turn-based JRPGs. Now that my favorite series has a turn-based entry? It's quickly becoming my favorite. It's the best in the series on that alone and I'm only in Chapter 5. Ichiban is a lovable dork already, too.
